I had some doubts about this property, but was relieved when we arrived. The room seemed clean enough and I liked that we had a balcony. I’m a Jamaican who returned home for holiday and it seemed like they pulled out all the stops for the Heroes Day dinner that evening. I was confused and excited by the many options. It didn’t disappoint either. We enjoyed every meal after that and my family are very hard to please. The other guests aren’t lying. The staff are kind and friendly. The ambience and the background in the dining room is splendid! I also went to the spa for a manicure and never had my feet pampered like that. Loved the pool experience too. It was clean and not too deep. And the backdrop is amazing. For a small hotel on the hip strip, I never expected to enjoy the experience but I did. It is a bit on the older side but I can see they are doing their best. The only thing that was a bother to me was the gym. The equipment could use a bit of updating and air conditioning.

Great value for money! You get what you pay for; a budget friendly all inclusive resort. Great location steps away from beautiful Doctors Cave. Only one buffet restaurant with very limited selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. There are only tables inside and is limited, so expect to wait before dinner. In addition to the buffet you have a snack bar that serves freshly made burgers, nuggets, chicken jerky and fish fritter. They also have a small snack bar that serve ice cream and small bites. The pool and hot tub was closed, and we received no information about this prior to our stay nor during check in. The rooms are dated and need a touch up. The rooms smell mold, the lock on the veranda door was broken and our garden view was not very nice. Due to gaps in the front door and veranda door we had some mosquitos in our room daily. The aircondition worked perfectly and hardly made any noise. Kept the room nice and cool (but didn’t help on the mosquitos). A small fridge with two daily bottles of water in the room was also nice. Staff was friendly. To sum up Deja Resort gives you great value for money! It is a bit dated and the food selection have great room for improvement, but all in all a great stay.

Stayed at Deja Resort: July 3rd–9th Deja Resort has a charming character, and it’s clear that in its prime, it was truly a beautiful destination. However, the property is now in need of some much needed upgrades and a thorough deep cleaning, as certain areas appear rundown and unkempt. The pool was under renovation during our stay hopefully, a sign of more improvements to come. That being said, what truly made our stay enjoyable was the incredible staff. Every team member we encountered was kind, attentive, and welcoming. Their warm hospitality helped to offset the discomfort caused by the condition of the resort. The food was another highlight, especially the Jamaican dishes, which were absolutely delicious! A special shoutout to Loretta, the best host! Her outstanding service is the main reason my family and I plan to return. With some improvements, this resort has the potential to shine once again.

Very close to the nightlife destination and other local stores. AC in the room was very effective which was helpful. However, my room fan didn’t work, pool was out of commission and no elevator - a lot of walking up to the stairs.

The hotel should not be classified as resort instead it’s a motel. It’s like a quick stop by stay. It’s outdated to the max basically. We checked in on Friday, July 4 and checked out Sunday, July 6 just a little getaway. I think the state would have been better if they at least had authentic Jamaican food there was none. The pool was not accessible. It was being repaired in which the repairs were done Sunday morning when we were getting ready to leave the beach is across the street from the motel, unlike most of the resorts, the beaches behind the hotel privately so we have to cross the street in traffic to get to the beach which wasn’t a big deal. I did however, like that the scenery was basically authentic Jamaican vibes

Overall, I would stay at Deja Resort again. The location is definitely one of its biggest perks – right on the Hip Strip and directly across from the beautiful Doctor’s Cave Beach. As a guest of Deja, entry to the beach is free, which is a nice bonus, though you’ll still need to pay $7 USD per chair and umbrella. The food was surprisingly very good for an all-inclusive with only a buffet option. There was decent variety, and the meals were consistently enjoyable. One disappointment during my stay was that the pool was closed for the entire visit. I wish I had been informed about this ahead of time, as it would have impacted my expectations. That said, having the beach just across the road helped make up for it. If you’re looking for a laid-back, centrally located resort with good food and beach access, Deja is a solid choice

Patio door did not safely lock and its door trim was broken, Did not have body wash, shampoo or a second towel the first day. Food was good but not great. Had to wait to be seated and the dining area was too small. Service and staff wonderful! Was not on the beach as was claimed. Had to cross a busy street with securities assistance. Nearby shopping was nice. Won't return.:>(

I ended up a Deja by chance, after being in Jamaica for a few days. I had no idea this was such a warm setting! Loved it! I have to Mention some of the staff; Marvin (restaurant sup.), servers Vannessa, Ruschana, Marie, Lorinda and Dana were such a delight. Always smiling, friendly and professional! You can tell them that I will be back next year July because of them and I hope that they will be there!! 😁 The hotel is super convenient, centrally located and the dining options were amazing! My only fault is that the towels were in a terrible, terrible condition. You really need brand new towels COMPLETELY! Once they get wet, they are super dingy. Sorry, love the hotel but that is the truth. I’m still coming back loved it!!!

Facilities weren't the cleanest, bathroom had black mould. The white towels had an off white colour. The staff were attentive and they were awesome with the Jamaica night really enjoyed it. It's a decent stay if you're not too fussed about your room being in tip top condition. You get what you pay for in that sense.

My room wasn't the cleanest by far had little bugs on the dresser ants in the bathroom just wasn't the best, the staff was nice but the limited towel and wash clothes and no sheets didn't like that at all!!

This was the worst hotel I have gone to. The place is noisy and the food is horrible. I got a room right at the laundry mat. I didnt sleep all night. They decided to change my room I left the hotel to do some errands at 9am when I got back after 4pm they told me my room is still not ready. I was already soaked in the rain and cold with no room to change my clothes. The rooms were flooding from the rain guests had to be coming to the desk to change rooms. When I got to the new room they was water on the floor running out the wall from the rain. Would never recommend.

The location is perfect! Staff is super nice and professional. A few remembered me from my last stay 🙂. Chef Martin/Marvin was super cool as usual. My only issue is, and as I said in my previous review, the towels NEED TO BE CHANGED! They are really bad. Other than that, my stay was really good

The first room we were given was not suitable, and when we went to reception at 9 am the next morning, we were told to return at 12. Even then, we ended up waiting over four hours in the lobby before finally being allocated a different room. The new room had ants on and around the toilet which we reported immediately, but despite being told it would be dealt with, nothing was ever done.

It was not like it was advertised on Expedia website.. The bed was too soft.. the room we had was close to the street (you can hear cars passing all through the night)and the game room was right across from the cafeteria which was was right across from our room so we could hear them playing games and the kids running by our room anytime of day or night… They don’t stock the room with towels you have to ask for them.. No Elevator.. I would update the pictures on Expedia

The staff are excellent, there is hurricane melissa here and i had to extend, the mangement team let us stay on a cheaper rate. Take care of us and make we r safe. This is my 4th time here and i will always come back.

I thought the location near the airport, and Doctor's cave was great. The buffet was very good and Jamaican authentic which was also great. I liked the hotel set up and the people working there were ok when it came to friendliness. They surely didn't go out of their way to make you feel welcome which was surprising. They ran out of towels several times during our stay and didn't seem to have a solution for it nor cared for it. The evening activities were very limited and the pool bar closing at 5:30 pm was a bit strange. I would stay again at Deja Resort hoping that some of those issues would be addressed. Jamaica was awesome by the way!

This was my first time staying here. The location was perfect. Check in was fast and easy. My room was in the back so noise was not a problem. The service was top notch!! Every staff memeber, and i mean every staff member i encountered was very friendly and helpful. A Very happy and positive environment. Great entertainment, and the food was not bad. Not a large selection, but it was decent. There was also a grill, and a cafe. So that did add to the choices. Drinks were good. Security, Troy, was always very helpful! Andre, bellmen, always had a smile and never forgot my name! Marie, team leader in the dining room was one point. That dining room staff was very efficient and friendly. The only thing negative was the spotty wifi. I would definitely stay there again!

Was actually at this resort during Hurricane Melissa. The staff was amazing. They provided service during the storm that went above and beyond. They continued to cook for us in spite of power outages and flooding. They stayed on hand putting guest’s priorities over their own. Highly recommend this resort as I will visit again.

Room was large and clean. Even though it was an older facility the kept it well maintained and kept clean. Customer service was outstanding. Overall, the experience was amazing! The staff was trustworthy, kind, and sweet. The beach view was beautiful, and having the beach right across the street from the resort made it even better. Whenever we needed the room cleaned or anything replaced, they did an excellent job. I felt safe, my family felt safe, and we would definitely come back again!

The resort was clean and safe, the only thing I didn't like was that the communication wasn't that great. You need to get a day pass from the resort to go to the beach which is across the street. The beach closes at 5pm every day. You're not even allowed to walk on the beach after 5.

The location of Deja Resort is great. Located in the Hip Strip. Walking distance to many local hot spots. Access to the Doctor Cave beach is easy. Great for snorkeling, as a lot of snorkeling tours stop just outside the swimming area. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was great and authentic Jamaican cuisine ( although the buffet setup and the constant opening and closing of the pans made some items difficult to stay hot) .… Staff very friendly and accommodating.. Dr Cave beach located literally across the street with free access to resort guests was also a huge plus … definitely planning another trip and looking forward to taking advantage of some of their spa amenities

Our stay at Deja was lovely but few things could be improved. Rooms were clean, we were all inclusive but the bathroom was missing shampoo and hair conditioner. In general staff was nice but few of the female staff could work a bit on their attitude and door man too. Beach next to the hotel amazing. Plenty shops in the area, felt safe to go out. Hotel is missing a lift. If you are on the top floor it’s a struggle. Fantastic food but not many vegetarian options. Great entertainment inside the hotel. So in general good place to stay.

Great value for money! You get what you pay for; a budget friendly all inclusive resort. Great location steps away from beautiful Doctors Cave. Only one buffet restaurant with very limited selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. There are only tables inside and is limited, so expect to wait before dinner. In addition to the buffet you have a snack bar that serves freshly made burgers, nuggets, chicken jerky and fish fritter. They also have a small snack bar that serve ice cream and small bites. The pool and hot tub was closed, and we received no information about this prior to our stay nor during check in. The rooms are dated and need a touch up. The rooms smell mold, the lock on the veranda door was broken and our garden view was not very nice. Due to gaps in the front door and veranda door we had some mosquitos in our room daily. The aircondition worked perfectly and hardly made any noise. Kept the room nice and cool (but didn’t help on the mosquitos). A small fridge with two daily bottles of water in the room was also nice. Staff was friendly. To sum up Deja Resort gives you great value for money! It is a bit dated and the food selection have great room for improvement, but all in all a great stay.

Overall this was a very nice affordable stay! If you’re looking for a property with its own beach front then this is not the stay for you. However, if you’re looking for something that is affordable and walking distance from several major attractions, I highly recommend! Staff overall was extremely accommodating and nice. The room and stay was ok. Just make sure you eat early, if you wait they take things off the buffet and you’re not left with many choices. Dinner ended at 10 but by 9:20 things start disappearing

I don’t know where to start. Check in was a breeze. I was greeted with the most delicious rum. I loved that everything was all inclusive, and the property gives you free beach towels to use for the beach directly across the street. There’s all day security that escorts you across the street. It’s close to everything. I loved the bar on the property. There was great music and great drinks. Overall my experience was a 9/10, and I’ll stay here again. I couldn’t give it a 10/10 only because I absolutely hated the food lol. I’m sorry, but the food had no seasoning at all. I was starving, but I lost 4 pounds LOL.

After reading reviews I was a bit hesitant to book but gave it a try for the great value. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was plentiful and delicious. I liked that there was also a snack bar, coffee & ice cream bar…& two bars with good vibes. The staff was amazing all through the resort! It is on the cheaper end for all inclusive so if you keep that in mind it’s well worth the money. Access to Doctors Cave beach a bonus and beautiful, although you did have to pay for chairs and umbrellas but access was free. For what I paid this property gets 5 star all round!
