This place will leave you feeling drained and needing a shower. This is not a cared for home rather a neglected rental that uses HGTV branding and clearly very old pictures to attract renters. It has a frat type feel where upon entry we picked up trash. There were clear indicators the location was barely cleaned other than the toilets wrapped in a plastic band noting “sanitized for your protection.” I have reminders of childhood stays in deserted motels. There were barely any kitchen supplies and the few available were cracked or dust ridden and yes, also not cleaned. I imagine there are several code violations with blocked fans and fire alarms removed. The picturesque pool area cannot be seen through the dust filled (inside and out) windows. Nearly 25% of the lighting did not work and the furniture is past life. If relaxation wasn’t already out, it took 2-hours to heat the “hot”tub, coming in at a luke warm, turning off after 20 minutes to return to ice cold temps. Upon arrival I was told maintenance would be coming in for 3-minutes to fix the stove. After 40 minutes of unpleasant noises and much knocking, I asked for the work (half way completed by this time) to be done after our stay. I was met with a tantrum. Disappointment does not begin to express this property and our stay.

I found the Bandolier Ridge while searching many homes in Joshua Tree for a weekend getaway with friends. This house stood out because of its amazing interior design. Since our group was all guys, we wanted a more masculine vibe versus the traditional decor in other homes in that area. This house did not disappoint! From the moment you pull up, the house stands out with its clean landscape and beautiful design. Stepping inside takes you into a whole new world. The wall to wall glass doors into the back yard pool, stunning! The vibe is on point and makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. The views from this house overlook Yucca Valley since you are located within the mountains. The house has everything you need for your stay. From the fully stocked kitchen to the outside grill, all you need is to bring your food and drinks and you are set. The bedrooms are really nice with big beds. If you are lucky to stay in the primary suite, you are in for a super relaxing sleep. By far one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The house has AC so it is perfect for the summer heat. But the best way cool off is to enjoy the amazing pool with the breathtaking waterfall feature. The waterfall running while you cook or hang out in the living room is such as nice touch. 5 Stars across all categories! Lots to do in this house if you are there with family of friends. Located close to town if you need anything during your stay.

My wife and I own a luxury STR and have high expectations' as to what a great experience should be when booking a property and this one surpassed them all. Very easy experience and easily one of the best designed homes I've ever been inside of. Already looking forward to coming back. Book with confidence!
