Casa 1800 Cerro Verde

Wow!! What a gorgeous property. We had a volcano view room but really you couldn’t see the volcano. First of all it was foggy most of the time but also you would have to go to the end of your “yard” to look over the hedges. Not sure if our yard was nicer than the forest view. Perhaps, as it is stunning!! It is very cold up there but so refreshing. The biggest advantage of Casa 1800 is that you can start your hikes before anyone else. We did both Santa Ana and Izalco. Both were amazing.

Definitely not kid friendly, bring warm clothes even though it’s hot lower elevation

A beautiful place to stay. The views, the rooms and the staff were all amazing. Much like Casa 1800 Suchitoto, the food was also great and it was all in the details. One warning- it gets COLD compared to the rest of El Salvador. Bring a warm sweater and pants for night time comfort.

It was a great experience staying at this hotel, the staff was so helpful specially the front desk guy who helped me with my booking.

Nice hotel, and rooms. Perfect for a night or two. No gym, bar or pool. Have to be back by 8:00 pm since the park closes at night
