Villa Franca Inn

Decent on-site parking, comfortable beds, well-maintained and clean for the most part. About a 20 min walk to the wharf. However, there were a few issues. We were in a corner room, which unfortunately for us meant no real window other than the frosted glass over the beds, so yes we had natural light, but it was a bit disconcerting not to have a view to the outside. Additionally, the room was VERY small. And finally, the one chair we had was badly stained, such that we did not want to actually sit on it. So our only option was to sit on the beds. Our experience did not match expectations from the pictures included in the listing. Bottom line, it’s functionally adequate, but we would not stay here again.

A small vintage motel on a busy street just at the edge of old Monterey, but very clean, comfortable and well maintained rooms. The weather was too brisk to enjoy the outdoor amenities, but the fire pit and patio set up was charming. There was coffee and tea, but no breakfast.

Great stay, free parking, nice staff. Will stay again.

Clean, quiet, friendly front desk. The walls were a little too thin for us and the parking spaces were very small. The price was really good and easy location (near to downtown)

Small, quaint, walking distance from a lot of shops and restaurants.
