I reserved an ocean view room through Hotels.com, and during the booking process I was offered a paid upgrade to a master room that was advertised with a Roman-style bathtub, which was the main reason I agreed to pay an additional $400. However, upon arrival, the room I received did not have a bathtub at all. When I raised this issue with the hotel, I was told that the photographs shown online were not accurate, and they insisted I was in the correct upgraded room. This left me paying an extra $400 for a feature that did not exist. When I requested a proper correction, I was offered an alternative room, but the condition of that room was unacceptable and far below expectations. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, as I feel I was misled by inaccurate advertising and did not receive the upgraded experience I paid for.

Room smelt of damp, pool wasn’t clean, pool bar Spose to open at 11, barman strolls in a 12 to then set up then to tell he got no ice.. hotel in need of maintenance.

Room was clean and the food was good.

I was one of the folks stranded during the military action in Venezuela. Because of this I had to add extra days at the resort and did so through Expedia. When I went to check in after my original stay had ended the resort would not accept the fee I paid to Expedia and said there was an error with my booking and forced me to pay them directly as well, in essence paying double the published rate. I was very upset and told “take it or leave it”. If you book through Expedia don’t be shocked if they try to charge you more upon checkin.

Bathroom appliances (mirror dimmed, bath pad kept water) are old. Staff is very friendly
