Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn

Every detail was considered at Lake Placid Stagecoach. Our suite was perfect, comfortable, spacious yet cozy. Kelly and team thought of everything. Also, the service, food and cocktails at the restaurant was so so good. Make sure to make reservations to secure your spot for a great dinner experience!

I booked a trip to Lake Placid last minute on the day before a long weekend, because I had a free weekend and had always wanted to visit Lake Placid. I found Stagecoach Inn online and made a booking. I called Kelly, the owner and host, the day of my visit to let her know I would be arriving late that night, because I was driving from New York City. She was very friendly and accommodating. As I drove to Lake Placid, Kelly was checking on me to make sure my drive was going well. Alas, I had chosen to drive the night of a snowstorm, which began to get worse as I approached Lake Placid. I had also rented a car which was not at all prepared to deal with the icy, snowy road that I encountered. About seven miles out from the hotel, around 12 am, my car slid off the road and into a snowbank. Luckily I was fine, but the snow was coming down hard and I couldn't get my car out. I texted Kelly, and she came to my rescue. She got in her car and drove out in the middle of the snowstorm to help me. Remember, we had never met in person before, and she could have been putting herself in danger. She was willing to do that to help a guest. She picked me up and drove me to safety. The next day, she drove me to breakfast, and to pick up my car, which had been towed. The rest of my experience was outstanding. The rooms were excellent, and the food was great. But I will always remember Kelly and how she went above and beyond to help me. She is an amazing person!

Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The property was beautiful and a really lovely stay.

This is truly the diamond in the rough, what a find! We stayed in the Jenny suite and it was charming. We ate dinner in the main room and it was five star all the way this place is a culinary gemstone! Make sure you make a reservation early as the dining room fills up quickly. We will definitely be back to the stagecoach on our next trip to lake placid.

We had a wonderful stay here for a weekend trip. Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Rustic charm, great food and drinks! We will be back!
