Blackbeard’s Retreat was clean, however could use an update. Awesome location, could benefit from an outdoor hose or shower, we needed to rinse off with the neighbor’s hose. It suited our needs for a couple days.

Overall, it’s a great location, literally across the street from the beach, and it’s nice for a long weekend. The house itself is older and there’s no outdoor light to sit out on the porch, which was disappointing because it was hard to see out there at night. Secondly, there were lots of thorns from bushes on the rugs and dust when we arrived, which we took care of.

Located in Kitty Hawk, this cottage is near the beach. Monument to a Century of Flight and Wright Brothers National Memorial are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Children at Play Museum and Paradise Fun Park. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf are also worth visiting.
