Einziger Nachteil im Hotel sind die Öffnungszeiten der Hotelbar, leider Samstags-und Sonntags geschlossen,in der Woche geöffnet.Gerade am Wochenende möchte man den Abend an der Hotelbar ausklingen lassen…..

Schönes Gebäude mit vielen kleinen details. Service so lala abends an der Rezeption erfragt ob die ,,Frühstück" (im Zimmer) tür aufhänger den auch eingesammelt werden oder ob man sie unten angeben soll, dies wurde verneint sie sollten wohl vom Nachtdienst eingesammelt werden. Als ich morgens dann die tür aufmachte hang das besagte bestell schilhen noch immer an der Türe und wir mussten runter zum Buffet dort gab es dann aufgrund der zeit kaum auswahl es war fast alles leer sehr enttäuschend bei dem preis wären eher gegangen hätte man dies gewusst.... Die sauna ist auch nur kurz geöffnet und man hat kaum chancen diese zu benutzen da man eine karte benötigt und diese nur bekommt wenn der raum leer ist nutzungs zeit unbegrenzt wobei an der tür eine stunde steht auch sehr schade. Gebe dem ganzen nochmal eine chance mal schauen ob es diesmal besser klappt ... Zimmer waren schön und sauber und die Mitarbeiter höflich alles in allem war es lala.

Wird wieder besser. Frühstück und Parkplatz sind allerdings im Verhältnis zum Zimmerpreis wirklich überteuert. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber mehr auch nicht. 20 Euro stehen in keinem Verhältnis! Ebenso der Parkplatz für 18 Euro pro Tag.

Hatten die Junior Suite gebucht für zwei Nächte. Es war angegeben Kind unter ein Jahr dabei ....aber im Zimmer befand sich leider kein Kinderbett. Die Klimaanlage war defekt und dadurch war es ziemlich warm im Zimmer. Man konnte das Fenster nicht öffnen wegen Strassenlärm. Das Restaurant hatte nicht geöffnet am Wochenende was ich für ein solches Hotel als nicht seriös erachte. Der Empfang war OK und nicht unfreundlich. Das Frühstück war soweit angemessen . Aber den Preis für über 400 Euro für zwei Nächte war nicht angemessen bei der Ausstattung.

Es ist zentral gelegen und ist ein tolles Gebäude und direkt an der Oper. Ich habe dort aufgrund dessen übernachtet, da dort die Prüfungsräume meiner Abschlussprüfung waren. Aber ansonsten ist es eben Duisburg. Aber das hotel ist toll. Bloss de Fitnessraum war ein witz

I had a good two-day stay at this hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and competent. Location can’t be beat within easy walking distance of the Opera House, Königstrasse (the main shopping area), the harbor and the Harbour. On the negative side, my room was located on the third floor (second in Germany) directly on top of the entrance and it was very noisy until 1am, caused by cats parked in front of the hotel for no reason and blasting their speakers. Someone should do something about it.

Wir waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Unser erstes Zimmer war schön eingerichtet jedoch war das Kopfteil am Bett wohl durch eine sportliche nacht mit Finger und Handabdrücken sehr verschmiert. Das Hauskeeping war laut der Rezeptioniston nicht mehr im Haus. Kein problem, ohne anstand ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Das neue zimmer war sauber jedoch hatten wir auch dort kleine rückstände im Wasser der toilette schwimmen. Abgezogen und sauber war sie dann. Die wand über den Kopfkissen war so staubig, das man mit dem Finger muster ziehen konnte. Im Schrank gab es wohl nur runde ecken obwohl der schrank augenscheinlich eher wie ein schrank gebaut war, nämlich eckig. Sollte so in einem 4 sterne Hotel nicht vorkommen. Meine Haustauballergie hat sich gut bemerkbar gemacht, gott sei dank nicht nachts beim schlafen, dafür am nächsten Tag. Das Bett war trotzdem sehr bequem, zimmer klimatisiert und die rezeption war sehr freundlich.

Front desk was very courteous and told us upon check in that housekeeping will not clean the rooms daily to help the environment, unless we requested it. It was very good because we were able to manage expectations. The room was spotless but amenities are lacking (lotion, shampoo).

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und leider nicht sehr ruhig, wenn Veranstaltungen in der Stadt sind. Das Wlan war katastrophal. In Ruhe arbeiten war nicht möglich und online schon gar nicht. Nicht empfehlenswert.

I might never have tried a more lazy staff! At check in they was slow and couldnt even find the reservation. Then when I told them my name(as they saw in my passport), then suddenly they could find it, in the same papers lying on the desk they already checked. The hotel look nice at pictures, but when you arrive it seems more like a leftover from the Soviet time. I have tried to get the hotel to send me the final invoice twice, but no reaction at all. It will take them 2 minutes. And the reason why I didnt get it was because I didnt realize I had to ask for it myself. I guessed that since I didnt get it they would probably send it by email, as many does today. BUT NO! Good location though, but not a 4-star hotel. Not even on a sunny day!

On the negative side, my room was located on the third floor (second in Germany) directly on top of the entrance and it was very noisy until 1am, caused by cats parked in front of the hotel for no reason and blasting their speakers. Someone should do something about it.

Eine gute Unterkunft, praktisch gelegen unweit des Hauptbahnhofs, der fußläufig gut erreichbar ist (ebenso wie die U-Bahn). Man fühlt sich unwillkürlich an den Film "Grand Budapest Hotel" erinnert: Ein fast 100jähriges Haus mit großen Fenstern, hohen Vorhängen, noch höreren Decken und langen Fluren; angemessen renoviert, aber auch mit hier und da etwas bröckelndem Charme, wenn man sich z.B. die teilw. abgeplatzte Farbe an den hohen (Flügel-)Türen der Zimmer anschaut. Badezimmer sind modern, sauber und mit ebenerdiger Dusche. Betten sind (zumindest als Einzelbelegung im Doppelbett) ausreichend groß und bequem. Im Großen und Ganzen sauber, aber an einigen Stellen sollte man vielleicht auch nicht zu genau hinsehen, z.B. unter den Betten oder wenn ein wackelnder Tisch auch mal mit zusammengefaltetem Papier unter dem Tischbein stabilisiert wird. I might never have tried a more lazy staff! At check in they was slow and couldnt even find the reservation. Then when I told them my name(as they saw in my passport), then suddenly they could find it, in the same papers lying on the desk they already checked. The hotel look nice at pictures, but when you arrive it seems more like a leftover from the Soviet time. I have tried to get the hotel to send me the final invoice twice, but no reaction at all. It will take them 2 minutes. And the reason why I didnt get it was because I didnt realize I had to ask for it myself. I guessed that since I didnt get it they would probably send it by email, as many does today. BUT NO! Good location though, but not a 4-star hotel. Not even on a sunny day!

Front desk was very courteous and told us upon check in that housekeeping will not clean the rooms daily to help the environment, unless we requested it. It was very good because we were able to manage expectations. The room was spotless but amenities are lacking (lotion, shampoo).

Terrific hotel. Stayed here for 2 weeks during the Euros and couldn’t have been happier! Super quiet yet really close to the train station and main shopping area of Duisburg. This was my 2nd visit and I fully expect it won’t be my last.

Zimmer waren sauber,Personal nett und freundlich,kurzer Weg zum Zentrum.U-Bahn und Busstadion in unmittelbar Nähe vom Hotel.Hotel liegt ruhig an einer Nebennstraße und zu Fuß innerhalb von 10 Minuten ist der Hauptbahnhof Duisburg zu erreichen. Einziger Nachteil im Hotel sind die Öffnungszeiten der Hotelbar, leider Samstags-und Sonntags geschlossen,in der Woche geöffnet.Gerade am Wochenende möchte man den Abend an der Hotelbar ausklingen lassen…..

Schönes Gebäude mit vielen kleinen details. Service so lala abends an der Rezeption erfragt ob die ,,Frühstück" (im Zimmer) tür aufhänger den auch eingesammelt werden oder ob man sie unten angeben soll, dies wurde verneint sie sollten wohl vom Nachtdienst eingesammelt werden. Als ich morgens dann die tür aufmachte hang das besagte bestell schilhen noch immer an der Türe und wir mussten runter zum Buffet dort gab es dann aufgrund der zeit kaum auswahl es war fast alles leer sehr enttäuschend bei dem preis wären eher gegangen hätte man dies gewusst.... Die sauna ist auch nur kurz geöffnet und man hat kaum chancen diese zu benutzen da man eine karte benötigt und diese nur bekommt wenn der raum leer ist nutzungs zeit unbegrenzt wobei an der tür eine stunde steht auch sehr schade. Gebe dem ganzen nochmal eine chance mal schauen ob es diesmal besser klappt ... Zimmer waren schön und sauber und die Mitarbeiter höflich alles in allem war es lala.

Wird wieder besser. Frühstück und Parkplatz sind allerdings im Verhältnis zum Zimmerpreis wirklich überteuert. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber mehr auch nicht. 20 Euro stehen in keinem Verhältnis! Ebenso der Parkplatz für 18 Euro pro Tag.
