We were offered a room either on a high floor or lower. We opted for a high floor and were allocated a room on the 27th floor. With spectacular views over Montreal this clean spacious room was good. Only criticism here was that it was close to the lifts and the lifts are fast and efficient this meant lots of lift noise sounding at times like we were below deck on a aircraft carrier listening to the Jets take off!! Choose your room with caution is the moral of the story. The staff were helpful offering ideas on everything to do in Montreal from trips, restaurants, maps etc.

Kettle leaked & could not hold water. Grout on the shower seemed to be wearing down, creating sharp edges. The shower door didn't seal properly so water leaked on the floor. The hotel was very clean and looked beautiful. While there were a few very kind workers, we were genuinely shocked that three different workers were incredibly rude. We had never experienced anything like it. At the restaurant, the waiter immediately brought the bill and ignored us once we said that we will have tea and coffee and no food. I had to get up to request juice from the cafe-bar because the waiter did not even look our way. When asking for the juice, the waiter did not even look at me or ask if we wanted anything else, and proceeded to take our old bill to bring a new one. Around 9:00am housekeeping knocked on the door even though we had do not disturb on. She later returned around 11:00am and told us she was there to clean our room because we were already checked out at 8:30am, and questioned why we were in our room. When we told her we had never checked out, she responded "That is not my problem". At the reception counter, when we asked about why we were told we checked out, a receptionist told us that it appears we did and asked if we were sure we didn't, or if no one checked out for us. Additionally, through this site we were told we had a late checkout at 3pm but he told us he had no record that our request was accepted and that our checkout remained at 12pm. Very unpleasant experience
