The hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the Bay of Naples. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. The lobby was eclectically styled in bold colors that worked in the space. The rooms were styled in traditional Italian decor, what you would expect to find in an older hotel. The rooftop bar was exceptional. The views were incomparable and the music was great too. We did not dine at the rooftop restaurant but it had the same view. The pool was large and we enjoyed relaxing by it. You could order drinks at the pool. I’m not sure of the procedure for placing an order since waiters never asked me if I wanted anything. So after my second day at the pool I went inside and ordered a drink and they brought it to me. This hotel was conveniently located to shopping and great restaurants. What disappointed me was their selection of body wash and shampoo ( no separate conditioner) They were not in bottles but rather pouches that you have to rip open then how do you prevent the rest from spilling out? It’s not a big deal but if you present yourself as an upscale hotel and charge accordingly, you need to follow through with better soaps, shampoo and conditioners. The only reason I bring it up is this was my 4th hotel I stayed in in Italy this summer and this was by far the most expensive, twice as much per night. So if less expensive hotels provide superior products you notice when the expensive place does not.

Excellent property all around with outstanding service, a great rooftop terrace restaurant for fine dining and sunset views with adjacent cocktail bar with live music, and enormous free breakfast with live music and food for the day, and a large pool with plenty of uncrouded lounge chairs. Location is at the quiet end of the city next to a lovely park, but a two minute walk to all the shops and restaurants.

Stayed in the Wagner Suite for our honeymoon. Big wraparound balcony with great views of the water. Best hotel service we've ever had, great continental breakfast, convenient location walkable to everything, and even has a private elevator for guests that brings you all the way down to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

In order to get to the beach, you have to take a completely different elevator to the bottom of the hotel & the same elevator on the return. However … the Hotel needs to post a sign stating the times that the elevator is working. We came home after being out to dinner on the beach level & couldn’t use the elevator bc it closed @ 7:00 pm. Finally after buzzing the intercom, the manager let us in. The next morning we had to catch the 8:30 am ferry to Capri & the same elevator isn’t in use till 8:30 am. We had to walk a very long way @ run to the pier. Management should either post a sign on the elevator or the staff should tell you this at check in. Extremely frustrating!

The desk was able to arrange two transfers to and from Naples at the last minute as my wife’s knee went out and was unable to make the walk and incline from the ferries. The room was clean and the evening turn down service was a great reminder of days past! Pool was amazingly refreshing. It was a wonderful stay with an amazing view.

The Continental is in a great location, near to the beach and very central to Sorrento centre for the port, train, shopping and dining. This is really its main selling point as we walked everywhere. The hotel pool was lovely to relax and cool off, and the breakfast has a large selection of hot & cold items to choose from. The room and bathroom was quite simple and generally clean but could do with a good renovation. the floors with the rooms are quite dated (except the entrance reception/lobby). The access to the beach via lower level elevator was not nice at all - quite dark tunnel, dirty with garbage and was not pleasant at all. I recommend to avoid it and use the hotel’s front entrance. Also note there is a daily fee for Leonelli’s beach beds and umbrella which wasn’t noted in the hotel information. Overall it was a pleasant stay but for €450 per night, I probably would try to book more in advance to find a better hotel for the price.

Hotellet är beläget mycket bra. Lugnt och fint men centralt. Sköna sängar underbar frukost och härligt poolområde. Otrolig utsikt ifrån restaurangen högst upp. Lätt att ta sig ned till beachen via hissen på hotellet. Inträde till Lionellis beachclub ingår men inte stolar, parasoll och handdukar det köper du till på plats. Rummen var ordentligt städade varje dag och på kvällen kom de och städade till, kom med nya handdukar, lämnade en chokladbit och information om vädret kommande dag.

The Continental is not only on the beach, it's an easy 1-2 minute walk to some of Sorrento's finest shopping and dining. The rooms were immaculate (update to the Junior Suite if it's a special occasion) and I was impressed with the attention to detail, little gifts, suggestions, even a book on Sorrento. Who does that? We would definitely stay there again. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

My stay at the Continental was wonderful. The staff are extremely attentive and professional. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean. The breakfast was superb and the view from the rooftop terrace was stunning. I could not fault the hotel at all.

Hotel Continental is in a very good location- close to many of the goings on, yet removed enough for quietness. Our room was large though the shower was small and odd being an enclosable part of the tub (dated). It also did have a balcony which was nice, though the view if the pool and beyond was just okay. The vibe and front desk was a bit stuffy.The decor old money dated. Would we stay here again? Unsure

Beautiful hotel. Location fantastic! Rooms were great with balconies. Close to all shops and restaurants. Marina and beach close as well less than 15 minute walk. Great bar restaurant on the roof. And amazing breakfast buffet in the mornings included. Would definitely recommend.

We had the suite on the 4th floor and was not disappointed. The view was probably one of the beat we have ever had overlooking Naples and the islands with boats running around everywhere. The room was cool and we were looked after for the full week. The Breakfast was continental but still plenty of choice and of high quality. The rooftop terrace was expensive but due to the location was expected, cocktails were of high quality and the restaurant was just stunning. We paid for a special room as it was a special occasion and was not disappointed.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The room was excellent, and the view was the most amazing he had ever had. We were close to the shopping, restaurants, and the marina, where we took a few guided tours.

Dated rooms and property showing wear but very convenient location. 3rd party bookings get you the smallest most out of the way rooms for a higher price. I can’t recommend this place enough. You can tell from the second you walk in to the lobby that this is a well run establishment. Great rooms, prime location and amazing staff. Special mention goes to Antonio who gave some amazing recommendations and assistance.

World class hotel, as evidenced by the amount of service the front desk/concierge staff doles out to first-timers…..likely all. They even arranged a dinner for 10 when the bride decided at 7:15 that she was uncomfortable with her 7:30 dinner arrangements. Went above and beyond to find not only and opening but one that could accommodate the many, many food preferences and allergies. Thank you Luca in that one and everyone else on other requests. Will stay again when in Sorrento.

The Hotel Continental is now the only place we will stay when visiting Sorrento. The hotel is excellent in all respects. The only thing that rivals the facility, is the unbelievably wonderful front desk, staff and support personnel. When you visit, please find Veronica. She made our stay and experience priceless.

Hotel Continental did not disappoint. Top notch service and amenities al the way. The desk was able to arrange two transfers to and from Naples at the last minute as my wife’s knee went out and was unable to make the walk and incline from the ferries. The room was clean and the evening turn down service was a great reminder of days past! Pool was amazingly refreshing. It was a wonderful stay with an amazing view.

Lovely location; but felt overpriced for the service and room. I had partial sea view but was looking also onto a roof. Bath was dated. No one helped with our luggage and essentially left us to move it to our room ourselves. Hotel was lovely but will note it seemed overpriced for the money.

Staying at the Continental Sorrento was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I, from Vancouver, have ever had. Perfect location and great hotel, but what really made the experience great was the hotel staff. From the valet to front desk staff everyone was as professional as they could be. Excellent property! Clean and beautiful! Loved the large breakfast buffet in the dining room each morning, great selections. Hotel is close to everything including many restaurants. We stayed in a sea view room (Wagoner Suite) and the view was magnificent, with a large wrap around balcony. Roof top bar was great for cocktails! Bonus, if you are traveling by ferry, there is an elevator/tunnel from insisde the hotel to take you down to the beach club level, with easy walking path to ferry port!

Location is at the quiet end of the city next to a lovely park, but a two minute walk to all the shops and restaurants.

The view around hotel continental isAbsolutely stunning!! The rooms are nice and spacious. The service is top-notch and we are especially thankful for Franco and Luca for all they have done for us. The grounds are amazing and the rooftop is probably the best of Sorrento. The only thing I would say is that the food is very mediocre for such an incredible high-level Hotel.!

Great Hotel , Very good pool. Food was very good. Spend the extra money and get the Vesuvio Suite over the water. Only thing I didn't like is they don't give you anything for free. You want a bottle of water you have to pay , at breakfast if you want different eggs that are on the buffet you can have but at an additional charge.

Stayed for three nights on vacation. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The breakfast was fabulous complete with live music! The location was perfect for roaming around Sorrento. I’d stay here again if I was back in the area!

The property was nice. I was disappointed that the breakfast was inside and not on a terrace overlooking the water, however, they had a nice restaurant and bar on the rooftop that had a great view at night.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel is exactly like the pictures (not sure if some of the rooms are updated- ours was not but was still very nice). Beach club access (have to pay for loungers and umbrella but get a discount and elevator down from the hotel) and pool were nice as it was extremely hot. Loved being able to walk around town. A/C in rooms and ours had a King bed. The hotel has another hotel in between it and the sea but the sea views are still amazing from the higher floors/hotel. The breakfast buffet is amazing as is the staff who run it. A lovely gentlemen plays the piano which was a very nice touch.
