Comfort Inn & Suites Taylor - Detroit

Stayed here during my trip and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience overall. First, I was assigned a room directly facing the pool area. Late at night, groups of guests were being extremely loud around the pool, propping doors open and creating constant noise that carried directly into the room. It did not feel like the hotel was effectively managing disturbances in public areas. The most frustrating part was the laundry room situation. I used a paid dryer, set a timer, and even returned a few minutes early before the cycle should have ended. When I came back, someone had already removed my clothes from the dryer and taken over the machine I had paid for. My clothes were left at the front desk. What disappointed me even more was the staff’s response — instead of trying to understand the situation fairly, the front desk immediately assumed I was the one improperly using the dryer. The issue is not about the few dollars spent on the machine. It is about the lack of organization, poor handling of guest disputes, and the feeling that basic guest concerns were dismissed rather than addressed professionally. Overall, the hotel felt poorly managed, noisy, and stressful compared to what I expected. I would not stay here again.

Stayed here twice, a week each time. Never have had any issues.

Great manager

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions because it is close to our relatives whenever we visit. This is a non-exceptional hotel but it is clean and safe. The rooms are normally pretty good, except this last time we were placed in a room on the first floor that had an extremely small bathroom. So small that you had to almost step into the tub in order to shut the door to the bathroom. (In essence, the bathroom was the length of the tub/shower combination and just wide enough for one to sit on the toilet- no wider) Furthermore, for the first time ever with renting a room through Hotels.com, the price I was charged at the hotel DID NOT MATCH the price according to Hotels.com. When I asked about the discrepancy the clerk at the hotel mumbled something about an additional facility charge. However, this additional facility charge WAS disclosed on my Hotels.com bill and thus I should not have incurred any additional fees. The hotel said that they would credit this difference to my credit card on file. However, after waiting several weeks I have not received this credit. As a matter of principle, I hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

The rooms were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. Unfortunately since the breakfast was over at 9 we did not get to eat.
