Easy, clean and across the street from Karl Strauss. Perfect for a night of business travel. The hot tub is covered which came in clutch when it rained in the evening. Paid parking is annoying but par for the course in any San Diego Hotel.

Housekeeping was amazing. Did a fantastic job and were so kind. Pool was clean and cool. Hot tub was very hot. Laundry on site each load was $3/wash and $3/dry. Property charges $15/day parking.

I loved that the place was close to freeway but still quiet; the fire pit was amazing and there was a bar so I could enjoy a glass of wine at t he fireside after my long ride!!

The hotel was conveniently located to the UTC shopping center (less than 10 mins away), which is why I stayed at this property. Unfortunately, the mini fridge was broken, as was the closet door and even the desk pen. One of the hand towels in the bathroom was dirty with hair and some other substance. Shower pressure was great and it was quiet at night.

There was severe mold in the bathroom, the paint was peeling off with black mold, there was no fan in the bathroom, if there is visible mold and peeling bulging paint how clean is the room? I have photos but no here is no way to upload them. Food was expensive and not any better than McDonalds

Staff was nice and lobby was remodeled, but the rooms were outdated and had bugs everywhere. Ants by the bed and roaches in the bathroom. Almost all towels were dirty and falling apart.

Wall paper was peeling and literally hanging off the bathroom walls! I had to re-stick them myself be wife seen it. Then they fewl again day we left. Room had a bad odor and had to leave window open on a hot labor day weekend! Staff were on point and friendly though.

When staying here, be prepared to order in or go out every day, as the bistro was never open when we tried to go to it, some excuse was given that it had to close early or was not open due to a revolving round of excuses. The room was ok, but not enough outlets to make it useful, and the bed felt like it was poured from concrete, but given I was in town for an appointment it did its job but I will be trying other options when I am in the area

Isolation between rooms are very weak . When you want to sleep if someone speaks next door it is bothering you and doesn’t let you to sleep ! Also Air conditioning noise is very loud !

I was in room 123 and the 110v wall outlets were very loose where my charge block would fall out and there was only 1 USB on the alarm clock that didn't work so I couldn't charge my phone.

I liked the location . I did not like the sleeping conditions! We needed separate sleeping areas. The main room was nice, bed comfortable. The pull-out sofa was hideous! The mattress was so thin, you could feel every spring! The bedding for this was also unbelievably bad! The blanket was so scratchy and thin. Reminded me of Girl Scout Camp! Then to add insult to injury, our bill listed a "Tourist Fee". Really??

Upon entering the room, everything looked great. When I got into bed, I discovered that the bed mattress was old and depressed on one side. That means the mattress is old and never has been rotated and flipped by the house cleaning staff. I requested another room and I was told that there weren't any available. I was told that they could take off one night's parking charge of $15. I later told them for the two nights. Also the toilet tank flapper must have been old to as the water from the fill valve would start to flow for about 5 seconds and was a little annoying. Finally the second night I opened the sliding door on the balcony to see what's outside. I then closed the door and lock it but it wouldn't. I noticed that the latch and the latch anchor on the frame was not aligned. The catch plate was screwed in tightly but not in the right position. That means it was not locked on the first day I was there. The staff downstairs were great but the management and maintenance were poor for allowing these problems to exist. In the hotel website it describes "Newly Therefore I can't recommend this location to anyone.

The two-bed rooms overlooking the pool and courtyard are fantastic. They are large and luxurious with great beds. The next night the two-bed was not available and stayed in a king-bed room which was smaller and not as nice but still good.

Arrived at the property a hour after check-in but still had to wait over an hour for a room to become available. Reserved an accessible room with sofa bed, no sofa in room. Shower bench not stable. Maintenance unable to fix. Was not able to use shower bench because of safety reasons per maintenance team. Per the front desk no other accessible room was available to transfer too. On the other hand the Manager compensated for the inconveniences. The hotel provided glass of wine during waiting period for check-in, took off $80 of the room rate for the first night and provided free meals for the two-night stay! Customer Service well done!

Enid at the front desk was not very welcoming or friendly: she was reluctant to receive cash for purchases and transactions and had difficulty correctly calculating the amount of change to return even with the calculator she pulled out of the drawer; when informed of the complimentary water having gone empty, she just looked over, did not get up from her seat, and made no comment or motion to assist. When we asked if we could get it refilled she said nothing and the other young lady said she would fill it. It was over 80 degrees outside and my elderly parents were hot having just come in front being outdoors and would have greatly benefited from a refreshing drink, especially since my mom had very much enjoyed it earlier. Enid’s disposition was very off-setting and disappointing for Marriott’s services that we are so familiar and accustomed to every time we choose Marriott and its chain. Her service makes us reconsider returning to this particular location despite its close proximity to the freeway and many places to visit.

Went for surgery consult. Stayed here because it was close to the office. Checked out before my appointment. But at my appointment Dr decided immediate surgery was the best option and scheduled it for two days out. Living 3+ hours away it seemed silly and taxing to drive home for one night so we went back to the hotel. The clerk helped us get the best rate possible considering our situation. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

It was a great location to visit my kid at UCSD. Don’t like that the hotel charges $15 per day for parking. But overall good spot, fridge in each room- microwave and ice machine down the hall. Central location by lots of shops too.

It’s not right next to any but businesses, but everything was only around 15 minutes away in any direction. We went for soccer and watched a Wave game at SnapDragon stadium, got back to hotel in 15 minutes. Played at Surf Sports Park and only a minus 15 minute drive. Indoor whirlpool for recovery after games was a bonus.

Great staff. Room was plenty for the two of us. Noisey next to ice machine at times. Breakfast and parking included with cost....a big plus. Breakfast was great. Made to order. Was not expecting how good it was and the variety to choose from. Close to freeway. Great cost and value.

Decor is depressing, bathroom needs to be updated. The included breakfast service was very inefficient, with long waits. And having coffee with breakfast that doesn't include free refills feels really cheap.
