Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Disappointed that parking for guests was so expensive. Swimming pool was outside and not usable in cooler weather. Key access for elevators was a good safety feature.

The key card for elevator access was a nice feature. I was disappointed the spa was closed and pool was closed but loved it overall

Pool and hot tub was nice. Gym was nice. Air worked better at night time

Great pool

Booked a king bed with a sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 kids and sofa bed was normal size fit both of them. We wanted to change rooms because we only had a shower and the next day the receptionist made it so easy for us. Loved the heated pool and the hot tub only thing is that there was dirt in the pool lingering. They also had a rack of pool towels outside for us and plenty of chairs.

The staff especially Elba was excellent! Everyone was nice, the gym was great. Only nitpicking thing was the pool was freezing and dirty so we couldn’t use it

Very nice and clean hotel. Close to everything. Disadvantage is the $30.00 per night parking. Anyone can drive into the parking lot. No special card or anything is needed. So not sure why the parking is an arm and leg.

The bathrooms were pretty modern and there was a pool. Also not too loud and close to pretty much all the attractions.

The bathroom was dirty the tub had hair and stains in the tub! The carpet was dirty as well.

Everything was good expect that my room was too dusty and dirty that there were few stains food from previous applicant in the table plus the bathroom was not clean correctly.

When I showed up in my room there was dirty USED toilet paper on the floor like someone used the my room.. I called the front desk.. I cleaned it & they came and sanitized it .. it was just gross

1-night stay. Business trip. Location was very convenient. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.

The room and furniture was old and dirty and the bathtub had mold. The bed was lumpy.. Staff was kind and professional..

The rooms were dirty. Paint peeling off shower wall. Vent in bathroom didn’t work. No hot water. Low water pressure. Poor communication from front desk associates. I asked for some information and they said they would get back to me and never did. Poor internet. Bed was nice and comfortable.

My room smelled like urine and mold. My shower floor was dirty. The channels that were offered on the tv was less than basic. I’ve stayed at different Courtyards, this was Courtyard was so disappointing. I could have ask for a different room, but I was so tired. Alll I wanted to do was lay down.

I had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Mission Valley! The entire hotel is very clean and well-kept, which made it feel comfortable and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful—they truly go out of their way to make you feel at home. A special mention goes to the morning food staff, who were absolutely amazing—so kind, attentive, and efficient. The breakfast was delicious, with great options, and the food is reasonably priced compared to many other hotels. Overall, this hotel is a perfect mix of cleanliness, great service, and good value. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and I would definitely stay here again!

Room was a little dumpy. Visible stain on couch, ac unit was very loud, no bathroom fan, and the controls for the light were cracked and broken. The shower door leaked a lot of water. And the door was really hard to close. There were a couple of times I thought it closed, but it was still cracked open. Staff were decent and said hello when you passed. Overall it was just “meh” and there isn’t anything specific that would draw me back. There is also nothing within walking distance that’s convenient. 45 min to 1 hour long walks just for fast food makes it challenging for anyone on a budget that doesn’t want to drop $30 for a round trip uber.

Microwave and Fridge a big plus

The air conditioning fan was so loud that it kept everyone awake all night. We're exhausted and disappointed. Not a great way to start a vacation.

We arrived late from a long flight from Chicago only to hear that their system was down and they couldn't check us in. After about 30 minutes of so they did check us in but couldn't take our credit cards because that system was now down. Finally got to my room and wanted to take a shower and the shower curtain was hung way too high. The bottom of the shower curtain to the tub as a 1 1/2 " gap so the bathroom flooded. I used up all the towels to sup it up and was too tired to change rooms.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with our stay. The AC was very weak and there were only two vents to cool off the room. A technician came to try and restart the system, but it didn't help much. When we checked into the room, there was still trash from the people before us. We also booked a suite hoping to have more separation from our toddler in the living room - however - there were strangely side slates that opened directly into the living room not allowing for any separation or way to have a light on in the bedroom without keeping him awake. The shower also had a very ineffective setup where it was completely level with the floor. Water would easily spill out, flood and make the bathroom wet and slippery. It also had a secondary nozzle that did not have a shower head attached. Each time we would shower, the water would take about 15 mins to heat up. Overall, not a very comfortable or quality stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Our cleaning service person was phenomenal. Never had to worry about clean room the whole time we were there. The staff was really accommodating and friendly. The only thing I would recommend would be some better mattresses. They were not super comfortable. Although I realize some of that is a personal preference. All in all we would stay again.

Room was decent size and bed was comfy and clean. Lovely staff. Let down by very noisy aircon, in room, dirty windows on exterior and no soundproofing from highway traffic noise.

Late to be checked in, pillows are flat as pancakes. Room by elevator noisy.

There’s no continental breakfast as advertised, hot tub doesn’t work right, internet didn’t really work and there’s no cell service in the room.

I regret booking here I have came here 2 years ago and a lot of things have changed the staff is horrible would not let me in the front door. At 5am. I called ahead of time to tell them I’m getting in early they said yes. They made me wait 2 hours with my 1 year old daughter. The room was dirty the area filled with homeless people dirty lobby dirty parking

Check in staff was absolutely amazing !

We checked in earlier than 3:00 which I expected to wait. We ended up waiting almost a hour and half. We were repeatedly told our room was almost done. The room we were originally suppose to get wasn’t available and we were given a completely different room. The front desk staff was some what friendly but we had to keep going up to the front desk to ask the status of our room.

The staff were amazing. Very helpful and listened to the concerns and issues I ran across. The hotel itself may need to have an inspection because it is something that is way out of the hands of the staff and management. I was moved to another room due to lack of sleep because of a constant clicking/dripping sound that took place around 4am-6am. The new room I was moved to the bathroom smelled like raw sewage and there was a howling sound with something banging and making a screeching noise between 4am and 5am. There are some definite maintenance issues this hotel needs to address immediately on the 2nd floor. Rooms 230 and 228 need to be heavily inspected and checked out before another guest has the unfortunate pick of these 2 rooms. The hotel it self was nice, clean and the staff were very nice and greeted you every time. It was unfortunate my stay during the night was uncomfortable and inconvenient.

This location provided the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From check-in to check-out I was met with kindness, courtesy, and respect. We will definitely be booking here again. This was the “home away from home” experience. Highly recommend.

I took 3 showers during my stay. I had no hot water for any of the three showers. Ice cold for two luke warm for one. My sister was on the same floor and her and her wife checked out because the cold water, the agent that checked them in was highly rude, and the room they checked into was dirty. Also the floors are supposed to be key card secured but four times during my stay at the oddest hours random carriers were coming on the floors slipping marketing material not related to the hotel under the door. I was so scared because I had just gotten out of the shower I was drying off and knock knock door handle shake menu slipped under door. Elevators were down at time of check in. I travel a lot I've stayed at a lot of hotels, I've stayed at this hotel multiple times, the quality and service at this location has declined. For the cost of the location and brand you expect more - or at least a minimum level of cleanliness, friendliness, and security. When I checked out at 4am Monday morning there was a third party security supervisor visiting with the front desk representative on the phone with the third party security dispatch saying how the property was out of compliance because no security officer had shown up for shift in there in 3 days which was a violation of their service level agreement with the property. Will look for an alternate hotel next time I'm in San Diego.

When we checked in the front desk, clerk was a little short and when I requested another key card for the room, he hesitated to give me one. The TV in the room did not work. I called for maintenance and it took them an hour to get to the room for the TV repair.

There for a dance convention; front desk was very helpful with the accommodations we needed for our dancer’s scheduled

Good location for my own reasons. Room was dark. Surrounding area has a large homeless population and was not super clean.

Rooms good and facilities. Road noise poor.

Nice hotel easy access to mission valley

Location central to shopping and restaurants. Large lobby which was very clean. Room was clean and neat with a comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of parking in front and in the back. No view from the rooms except the parking lots. Nice staff who took the time to get to know the guests.

Great location next to freeway, across the street from Mission Valley Mall, and other stores or places to eat nearby. Clean rooms, friendly staff, pool and hot tub. We will stay here again.

Hotel was in a great central location with tons of dining options nearby and close to many popular attractions. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Price was very reasonable and parking price was better than most other hotels.

It was okay. Not up to normal courtyard standards but it wasn’t horrible. No complementary coffee. :( the area is what it is. Can’t really leave the hotel and go for a walk. A bit sketchy with homelessness and a noisy adjacent freeway.

Good location and very clean. Downfall - no water in room, no coffee machine available in lobby in the early morning. 5 dollars for a coffee one it’s up and running.

I never give 5 stars but the staff and quality of the hotel demand it. The check in staff were helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The bar at night was a relaxing place to have a drink and the shareables were tasty. I suggest skipping the meatballs, trust me. Only negatives is parking is $30/day. The laundry is coin operated so bring quarters.

This is our safe bet when traveling to San Diego. The location is convenient to the freeway, so you can get anywhere quickly. The place is generally clean and quiet, although the bathrooms are a little lackluster, and it can be noisy if a tour group is on site. Not really reasonable dining on site, but you can get food if you absolutely don't want to go out. We suffice with starbucks in the morning, and the in room fridge and microwave. Overall, has all the basics covered, and while parking costs money, it is available.

I wish there would be more coffee options and food options at the restaurant. As well as the option to get room service.

Nice property but the breakfast is expensive and not good.

The hotel was nice but dining wasn’t great. Sandwiches were good but Mac n cheese was awful.

This was a great hotel to stay at. It was kind of weird to get to but once we arrived parking and check in was easy. We didnt quite figure out how/where to order food. There wasnt a ton of info provided on that. They have a bar but it didnt look like they had a kitchen for preparing food. The room was very clean with the exception of something weird on the bathroom wall and a hair in the shower but everything was great otherwise!

Toilet didn’t work called for service still made noise when we were leaving. Breakfast was terrible and expensive. Hotel felt run down.
