Room was clean..outside of property grounds look a bit disheveled..no ice machine..Check in was cold and not warming…overall ok for a place to sleep

Ad did not say there would be a $35 charge for a pet. Stairwell lightbulb was burned out. Emergency exit door broken. Non existent housekeeping. Would not stay there again.

Issues; Gazebo is falling apart & has tarp over it, room was filthy, not even a clean toilet, there was something red stuck to the bathroom faucet, exposed wires on the wall, ceiling chipping, toilet sitting in the back yard could see it from room window, no room phone to call front desk, door look like someone tried to break in previously (wood pooled away by door knob). Also white stains on the chair (who knows what that was). I could go on and on, but I think this say’s enough.

Worn down beat up seedy looking place. It needs a lot of work . No phone in the room. 2 queen beds in a tiny room.

Cheap but the facility had inadequate lighting in the stairway . The room smelled very musty. Stairs were steep for my wife and I, both pushing 80. Beds were okay. Pillows were not comfortable. There is no coffee available at any time. Bathroom was okay. The heating system worked but was pretty noisy.

This is a basic hotel for the value oriented traveler, and a bargain considering the area. It was surprisingly clean, and I did not find any evidence of insects. Although some of the decor decisions were not to my personal taste, everything was clean and in working order, and the room had been recently renovated. Here i would encourage the owners to redecorate in a style that American travelers understand and look for in a coastal area, i.e. blues, white, gray, and no shiny fabrics. The people working there, although their english is limited, were very kind and eager to help us have everything we wanted. The only downside was the door handle lock assembly needs to be replaced. It is flimsy and, unfortunately, you can not leave it in a unlock position if you need to run out to your car or something. Word to the wise, carry your door key with you, and bring plastic utensils with you if you plan to eat take out in the room. There was a clean kitchenette with microwave and fridge, but no plates, forks, spoons, etc., and the front desk does not carry these items. Lastly, this hotel is not accessible for travelers in wheelchairs. There are steps to get into the rooms, and no ramps that i could see.

This is a last chance motel. Cheap, but , no amenities. Make your own coffee in the lobby, but the machine was broken and no staff aroynd to help.

Hugely overpriced ($180/night for two beds) for quality, location. no coffee or tea available (keurig machine was out of order, front desk rarely staffed), and a long drive to get any. offering a cookie, an apple, some water, anything would have helped take the edge off

The motel is under renovations, and some parts of it are not complete yet, and the bathroom fan was far too noisy. Staff was accomodating and understanding, and the location is convenient to all the surrounding area points to visit and are available at a reasonable rate.

Simple but adequate room and amenities. Old property and structure, newly renovated. No style but clean, new and functional. Beds a little sway backed but not horrible. We’ll priced on Expedia for our night. No breakfast although it looked like there was a Kurig machine in the small office area.

2nd time staying here as a quick overnighter. Yes, the rooms have been updated, however not all of them are complete. We had 2 rooms. 1 was finished but the other still had pipes sticking out of the wall where the mini kitchenette looked like it would be compared to the other room. If we had children, that would not have been safe. The shower was very small and also not clean, someone else's hair was all over the wall prior to getting in.

The pictures online appear to be taken immediately after renovations or something. The reality is nothing like that. The place has not be taken care of. Dirty walls, dirty molding. The paint on the door was so bad it looked like a bear was trying to claw its way out. Disgusting musty odor that would not go away even with the windows left open all day. The rug (not hardwood floors as some of the online photos show) wasn’t vacuumed. The fridge was dirty. It really seems like the owners down really care about the place and were just collecting a check.

Gross and bug ridden! Blood in floor! We did not stay! Left 5 minutes after we got there!

Staff was nice at check in, but room was dirty, old, stinky, broken tile on bathroom floor, hair on towel, mildew on ceiling , dirty head board with white spots

Staff was welcoming and kind. That’s where the good part ends. Room was upstairs. Had a very musty, mildewy smell. Carpet had not been vacuumed. There was food on the floor. Very dated. In desperate need of an overhaul.

Let’s just say we were taken aback when we opened the door to our room. First it took about10-15 minutes to find front desk help and then the room smelled was dingy and we couldn’t or wouldn’t put our feet near the moldy shower stall. The pictures were very deceiving. Won’t be back!!!!

The walls are thin so you hear EVERYTHING thats going on in the next room over. The water faucets are all backwards, hot is cold, cold is hot. Microwave was dirty and gross. The bathroom door didn't close, hinge was broken. Towels were like drying off with an old rag. The heater / air unit is VERY loud. The bedding (or lack there of) was flimsy and not comfortable at all. The stairs to the upper unit are ridiculous and can't be up to code. Definitely will not be staying there again.

Check in was fine. We got in the room to find it smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. My kids climbed into bed to find large clumps of hair in one of the queen beds. The whole place had a bad vibe. The pictures are very deceiving! We did not spend the night.

This is an inexpensive option for the watchhill area, its small and outdated. The rug in the room was dirty and the room smelled of 1980's smoking. The AC was working but it was still humid in the room, no spare tp. a queen bed just fit in the room. Random office chair was just in the way, we had to move it around as we moved around. Overall it wasn't nice.

Room is in very poir condition. Smells of smoke. Bathroom is terrible. Do not recommend.

Wifi was poor, water in shower was warm at best or lukewarm

Although staff was nice, Nowhere near what the pictures show . I got a mega outdated room . Carpet and old bed sheets . No hard wood floors are nice bedding . Tv didnt work nor did the wifi . First and last time

The hotel was ok, the water pressure for the hot water wasn't good, and tried talking to people in charge, they didn't speak English so couldn't understand them, but overall the room is very clean, and one thing that could be changed is put a sink outside the bathroom and just have toilet and shower in the bathroom so you could have more space for a shower because the shower is too small, it doesn't make sense having a sink in the bathroom and sink outside the bathroom, and the wall in the bedroom should block the bathroom, it should be more open so you know where the bathroom is, that's what I didn't like about the room, otherwise it was clean and it was fine.

Bathroom door didn’t shut, no hot water

No sound barrier from the room next to me nor the hallway. Could hear people just having a regular conversation in the room next to mine. Very outdated room. Would have been fine if the comforter had been updated

my stay was ok the floor felt dirty and the bathroom was small got woken up at 630 am from people above us! the room was big and the bed was a little comfy.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Convenient to Westerly and Mystic. No hot water in the shower and no one at the front desk to speak to about it. Microwave didn't work. I would stay there again.

Room needs attractive.Curtains , which also function to block light during sleeping hours. Bathroom needs to be improved.The lighting needs to be lowered and the fan needs to be less noisy and uncoupled from the light switch. But location provided a reliable stay at affordable cost.

A multitude of problematic findings: the room was so much smaller than the pictures showed, there were cigarette burns on the comforter, thinning of the black out curtains so light came through, temperature settings on the shower has the opposite label (turn it to cold if you want a warm shower, turn to hot if you want an ice shower), the water is very hard and left a residue on my hair, and the TV signal was unreliable and would black out. A college kid was throwing up off the side of the porch a few doors down. I forgot my ID at the desk and the receptionist kindly called me to let me know that night; we agreed that I would pick it up at 9am (I truly lost count of how many times I tried to rephrase, "when is your office open? what time can I come get it?" because a language barrier was quite apparent). However, when he came pounding on our door at 7am, the language barrier became really unfortunate. Sure, I felt safe, the toilet flushed, and the location was ideal for events I was attending at the nearby vineyard, but I would not recommend this place, I'm so sorry.

Shower was too cold even in the hot setting. Bed creaked and was uncomfortable. My back is still aching.

The actual manager should be on the premises for check in and not leave it to someone who cannot speak English to answer questions

The owner/checkin person appeared very weary and tired, but he communicated effectively. This is a bare bones operation, but given there are just 2 staff, the property and rooms are well-kept and tidy and well lit--no complaints there. Good spot and convenient to Foxwoods.

The management team was extremely helpful, flexible and accommodating. Highly recommend

Staff member was very accommodating and made sure our room had what it needed. He even switched out our room for us as we required a mini fridge for our stay.

Couldn’t pull out pull out couch. No sheets. Front desk attendant didn’t speak English, which is a challenge when you need sheets and they don’t know what sheets are. Room smelled.

Small room with bed cover that was a bit frayed. However, the excellent customer service and complete affordability made this motel an excellent choice!

When we checked in we weren't greeted in a friendly manner at all. It was just straight to business. Not a smile, a hello, or welcome. The website description of this place is very misleading. It shows newly remodeled rooms. We didn't get that. The bathroom had been remodeled but not the rest of the room. I feel they should've given us what was advertised considering there were not that many guests there. We had to ask for fresh towels on our second day and after that they brought them to us. I have to say, despite the shoddy conditions it was very quiet there. Probably due to lack of guests. It was ok. But i wouldn't stay here again given the lack of friendliness, no amenities and rooms.

Value was good for the price. Not much selection in the area and the motel was affordable with clean comfortable rooms. The hotel staff was able to accommodate my requests during my five night visit. I would stay there again if I needed to.

We waited 15 minutes at the front desk, calling out for someone to check us in . It was 7pm so not super late. Finally, we found a guy in the laundry room. He came to check us in and couldn’t speak English. He pointed to a list of check-ins and indicated he wanted me to point which one was me. Room was so very very musty smelling (rm 116), we checked out at 10:30 same night and found another hotel. Office was completely closed so we left key in drop box. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

Good location. Comfortable for price

We needed a room for one night and very little was available in the area - we were pleasantly surprised by the large, clean room with microwave and fridge, 2 large mattresses and plenty of storage space. Beds were OK, the place was not beautiful but practical, and check-in guy was helpful. Nice location, easy access to Foxwoods, Stonington and Mystic. Saved us a lot of money, very well worth the price.

The property was not far from mystic or the RI beaches .

It was simple to book the room and check in. The room I stayed in had 2 Queen beds. Although I slept very well, the mattress had a bit of a small lumpy feeling. It’s not a very spacious room but definitely adequate. The bathroom is modern and clean. The air conditioner works well, it was very comfortable in the room and quiet. The area is beautiful. It’s on a quiet lush road,very peaceful. I would stay there again.

Great location, easy, clean, and relaxing. Not fancy and it’s not supposed to be! It was perfect for a quick affordable overnight on our trip to the sea!

I’ve been coming back for years. Very affordable, friendly, accommodating, family run business. Close to the Rhode Island beaches, Mystic aquarium, and many other things to do in the area. Clean, comfortable beds, and several dining options close by.

The room was clean and quiet. It was very convenient to a wedding we were attending at the Hounds. For just a place to sleep the night, the price was right.

There was a refrigerator and a microwave, but no cups, no teabags or coffee or sugar or creamer.

Cute room for the night. Room was good just wish there was a coffee maker and more shampoo. I would have brought my own if I had known but I also didn’t read any reviews it was a last minute trip. We would stay there again.

America's Best Value Inn in Stonington, CT, is not the worst but it could be better. The room was clean, except under the bed which was very deep in dust. The design of the bed made it difficult to vacuum under the bed, but not impossible. If you have a dust intolerance, look elsewhere. The room lacked adequate electrical outlets, especially by the desk. And the outlet over the sink was blocked by the faucet - very poor attention to design details. The bathroom exhaust fan was terribly noisy, as was the HVAC unit on the wall. The HVAC unit said it was controlled by a wall thermostat but there was no thermostat on the wall. However, other than under the bed, the room was clean and appeared to be newly painted. The TV channel guide in the room was grossly inaccurate. Further, the antenna/cable connection to the TV was loose which caused a problem I had originally attributed to the weather and the entire cable system, but it was just the connection on the back of the TV. The shower water was nowhere near hot enough. My overall impression was of an older economy motel that was in the process of being refurbished but the effort was hampered by both the original architecture and a lack of attention to detail in the renewal. If you are looking for a place to sleep, to shower and to save your money for more important things, this place is OK. If you are looking for someplace with more amenities (e.g., pool, exercise facility, restaurant, bar, etc.), look elsewhere.
