Sleep Inn Ormond Beach - Daytona

Lackluster breakfast options. TV only had streaming services, no regular cable

This place is awful. I travel to Daytona every year and definitely won’t stay at this hotel again. I had to change rooms twice because the first one had a broken toilet and the second was missing the security latch on the door. The room I wound up in had musty and didn’t feel very clean. The towels were dirty and when I moved the nightstand to plug in my charger I found a smoked cigarette under it. The room was supposed to be nonsmoking and I have asthma. There are spots on the walls, the curtains were stained and filthy, the AC needs to be cleaned, and the fan in the bathroom was caked with dust. The door had a chunk missing, some of the furniture had clearly been damaged, and the fridge had rust all over the outside of it. The people in the rooms around mine were yelling all hours of the day and night so I got no sleep at all in the 5 nights I was there. I would have tried another hotel but I was in town for a festival and everything was sold out or extremely overpriced seeing as I would have been booking last minute. There were also children running around everywhere unsupervised. My key card for the room also kept locking me out and had to be reset multiple times. I feel bad for the staff that work there. At least they were kind and as helpful as they could be. It’s unfortunate since this hotel is in a great location and close to so many things. Now I’m sick from being in this room and even missed the last day of the festival. I won’t be staying here again.
