I really liked the location of this property for what we were there for. The property is under renovation in the lobby and entire first floor. The breakfast looked very good. We did not eat due to dietary reasons.

This hotel is our favorite place to stay whenever we visit the DC/MD area. We were hoping to use the pool but were told it had not yet been inspected and there was no scheduled date. Very disappointing!

I stayed at the Hampton Inn, Bowie, MD from June 28 to my birthday June 30th. Unpleasant stay. Hotel not safe, dirty, staff uncaring, and someone vandalized my daughter’s car. Only one working elevator which shakes and drops, ceiling tiles in lobby has mold, not heat in the lobby, debris floating in pool, lamp cracked, dirty vent in room, dirt and dust behind night stand. I told them before booking that I had bad Allergies and afraid of animals and was told that animals were only housed on the first floor, but a big dog got on the elevator heading to the third floor with his owner, and I was cornered in the elevator when he got on. I would bypass this hotel if I were you and find another clean, and reputable hotel where people really care about your health and well-being. Thanks for giving me a bad birthday weekend experience.

We love Hampton Inn! But this experience was not good. At 12:20 a.m. the hotel fire alarm went off. Construction in the main lobby had left lights on that were melting the plastic for renovations. The lobby was filled with smoke! No one from the hotel did anything during this or since. No knocks on doors, no checks on residents, no emails, nothing. No communication to guests at all. A friend traveling said there wasn’t even staff on duty in the lobby the night while this was happening. We’ll stay at Hampton again because we love them, but this was the worst experience ever at one.

Staff was very accommodating. 3rd floor was being renovated, elevators were shaky, ice machine on 2nd floor wasn’t working. Staff was great, very helpful and courteous. After renovations the hotel should be nice.

The property could use some updates, and the elevator was out of service while I was there. Not to mention the floor was damp and the refrigerator was unplugged so it took time to get cool. Front desk and housekeeping were friendly and great, but I would not stay here again.

For a five night stay they should at least have the rooms cleaned just one day during the stay. It got so bad that trash started to pile up. Also other visitors had no other option but to leave their trash outside of their hotel rooms. Additionally, there was more trash on the floor next to trash cans. The trash cans were piled up full to the top so guests had to leave third bags of trash on the floor.

Requested towels from early in the morning and never received them until later that night but had to go downstairs to front desk for them because house keeping had already left from when we called in the morning. The stench coming from the carpets in the elevator is ridiculous and they need to either be properly cleaned or taken out all together. The staff were ok, however they could be more approachable. A few things definitely need to be reevaluated and changed in this place.

Check in was great , the staff was great. The bathroom in my room had dual shower heads. The main shower head was the mobile shower head. The holder had grime in it as if it doesn’t get cleaned. The built in soap dish had some grime on it as well. The wall mounted shower head had a leak, the bathroom floor was wet when u walked in the room and the floor has to be covered in hang towels to keep it dry.

Staff were ok , the room was clean , breakfast was average this Hampton inn was older and needs a definite update especially the carpeting in elevators and halls we traveled with pets and there were no bags to pick up pet waste at both dog relief areas , however the outside grounds were well maintained

The young man at check-in was very friendly and appeared to be very knowledgeable! My problem was the BED! Not a good mattress at all, I could not get comfort all night! Mattress needs to be replaced. Other than that, experience was ok!

I was able to check in no problem. The ac unit was extremely loud. Walls super thin. The cleaning crew was slamming doors and i couldnt enjoy my morning in bed. The rooms were really clean.

I normally stay at this hotel for a little quick staycation. And the stay is normally quiet and comfortable. But on this visit it was a lot of noise going on hearing loud sounds from pipes, water running from other rooms. And one sounds like a dryer. Not sure we’re the noise is coming from, but it woke me out my sleep.

Do not stay here. The worst hotel experience we have ever had. We had made confirmed reservations through Expedia. We checked with the hotel about 8:30 PM and gave them our name to make sure we could check in around 11:30 PM. They told us no problem. When we arrived, a different clerk said he had no record of our reservation, and told us we would have to go somewhere else because they had no rooms. We then demanded that the clerk call the manager because we were tired, and we were relying upon the good reputation of Expedia and Hilton to honor our reservation. The clerk explained to the manager that they had 18 reservations that had still not checked in, and the manager told him to give us one of the rooms. (Over the course of that conversation, we overheard the manager tell the clerk that she didn’t want to be bothered by the situation.) Well, he gave us a room - which turned out to be occupied. We scared the sleeping female guest out of her wits when we opened the door and turned on the lights. We felt very lucky that she did not pull a gun on us- something I probably would have done had I been in the same situation. (Lesson learned: always bolt the door.) Rather than risk another crazy encounter, we gave up, called some relatives and went to stay with them in their basement - not as comfortable but safer. While all this was happening, six more people were also denied rooms. Four of them also left.

Staff member, Eric, on night shift was rude and discriminatory, making jokes against handicap guest. Called to notify of a late arrival and was told entire reservation would be lost and after notifying staff that travel was longer due to customer with physical disability (and handicap room rented) Eric then made a direct joke mocking the customer's physical disability and was extremely rude and discriminatory.

Our check in was not a good one! Our room wasnt ready at 3:00, like we were told it would be, so we had to wait in a lobby with no ac for an hour. Myself and my wife were very disappointed. We had an event to be at around 5:00 pm .

If you ever have to stay here, do not park your car on the side of the building. I made that mistake and woke up to no tires on my car. Others had their windows broken. The GM did not even bother showing up to check on the issue.

Very quiet, clean hotel. Breakfast and coffee was good (really enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin waffle mix!) This hotel is also a 10-15 minute drive to a WMATA station and then a 30-40 ride to the National Mall in DC, which is why I originally chose this hotel. This hotel is also a wonderful little crash pad near a shopping center.

Worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many. It was dirty and and very deteriorated. All seats at dining room were ripped and carpets dirty. There is a bad smell in the elevator. Breakfast was terrible, the only hot food was sausage and gravy no eggs.

We came in town for a football game, the front desk staff was fantastic. Once we checked in and arrived to a spacious, clean room with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the shower wall, and lotion is also provided (not mini bottles either). Breakfast was great, and the options were limitless

The fact that the omelet making was not out in full view. When I noticed it. The machine was being packed up at 9:45 am. I think only one omelet was made. Was it only for certain visitors? ( Like friends and family members of employees?
