The Best Western in Coldwater is a quaint spot with a nice pool and hot tub. The jets were not working in the hot tub, however we enjoyed it regardless. It is nearby downtown Coldwater, and is close to restaurants and fast food chains. Staff were friendly. Would recommend!!

This was a filthy hotel. We had booked 3 nights and left after 1 (almost left that night but it was late) The carpet was filthy, the room was dingy. I will never stay here again

Our room looked and smelled extremely clean, even with it being oet friendly. The linoleum floors were nice for easy clean ups. The bed was super soft. Breakfast was 1 of my favorites and that doesn’t normally happen at a hotel.

It was not real clean. Dining room tables dirty. Sheets and towels felt damp. No toilet paper on 2nd day. The walk in shower which was needed because of handicap person was slick. The bathroom floor was slick as well.

This place is ridiculous. 120 dollars to sleep in a room with dog feces stains and hair ever where. Mold in the shower. Blood and stains on the bedding along with the animal smell. I will never stay again and hopefully I can spread the word for others to spend their money somewhere else

Stayed at a sister best western plus in traverse city, and it compared to this one was a palace. Sorry, but this wasn't clean, stunk super bad of cigarettes and weed, the elevator looked like it has never been touched since it opened, people have spit on walls in the stairwells, carpets looked like they haven't been shampooed in ages... Maybe send some of the staff to traverse city to see how things can be run well??

The hotel was very busy during our stay, however, I have stayed in 8 hotels in the past month and this was double the cost of any of those. I don't feel like it was a good value for the cost. The room was not cleaned properly, there was blood stains on a pillow and the seating surfaces had dark noticeable stains. It didn't feel comfortable with so many questions on cleanliness. The room also had a very unpleasant odor upon arrival. Whether it cleared up or we stopped noticing, I'm not sure. The breakfast was another issue. The fruit looked very old and some pieces were starting to get moldy, and I also noticed mold on a muffin. My child made a waffle and couldn't eat it because she said it tasted funny and then later that day she had a stomach ache. Sadly, this was a very unpleasant stay and I've never had such a bad experience with Best Western. I do not recommend this hotel. There are many others in the area that will probably have better offerings.

Very dirty carpet. No AC on when checking in so the room was very hot and smelled awful. The AC was not able to cool the room. It would shut off after a couple of hours even if continuous fan, high, cool, etc. Were selected. The sink and tub drains were clogged so there was always a backup when using. The pull out couch was in terrible condition with a very unsatisfactory mattress. There was an RV somewhat permanently parked in the back lot with a staff member who seemed to live in it. All staff encountered were unfriendly. The hotel was pet friendly online but upon arrival was told they only had certain rooms that were pet friendly and they wanted to charge me $150 fee for not specifying the room I wanted and $160 fee for the pets for my stay. This would have made a 2 night stay in a complete dump $700 plus tax. We left without staying the second night.

Hotel was clean, the people at the desk were nice. Food was full breakfast, with eggs, sausage, gravy, etc. It was fairly good. Bed had a little too hard of a mattress for me but that could just be a preference thing! Would stay again though. Hotel was quite but we were on middle floor and the floors were quite thin and creaky so we could hear people upstairs everytime they walked around.

When we checked in, it took a few ‘dings’ to get the person’s attention because they were on a personal call in the back. When they finally came to the front, there was no hello or anything. They seemed annoyed that they had to check us in. Pool was broken and closed. The room’s carpet had holes from being worn down as well as the chair in the room. Had to get new bedding on one of the beds because there was black marker or something all over it.

Hotel is difficult to find, extremely dated and not clean. Do not walk around barefoot. Needed to checkin early (1 hour early) to get ready for a wedding…front desk charged us $25 early check in fee! Do what?? That would have put our tally for this room at $180. Luckily I asked manager at check out to refund the $25, which he did. Still the room was $160 which is about $80 more than it should’ve been. Options are limited in this area so we were stuck here. Do yourself a favor, and drive the 20-30 min to a better area.

I had to pay a 50 cash deposit damage fee upfront. I use expedia so I do not have to deal with this type thing. but will not stay there again. Then waited 20 mins for them to inspect my room for my deposit to be returned. Kind of fly by night.

It took over 40 minutes to check-in due to having only a single person at the front desk. After arriving to the room, the toilet immediately ran over after the first flush. We called for assistance and went out to eat and return. We had to use the Public facilities in the Lobby. Our room had Customers upstairs that were moving around most of the night. We know this because the floors above us creaked loudly until they went to bed at around 4am. The night before our departure we wanted to use the hot tub. We were told that from 10pm till midnight it was for 18+ only. At 11PM the pool area was filled with children. We called down to the Front Desk and they assured us that they would ask the under 18 crowd to leave. We came down 15 minutes later to get in the Hot Tub to find it filled with disposable diaper paper floating in the water and feces on the bottom of the tub. Needless to say we exited the Hot Tub, and as we were leaving to go back to our room to sanitize ourselves, we let the Front Desk know what was going on. Their response to us was "Okay, we will get it cleaned in the morning". We did not see any warning signs or closure of the affected area before we left. The next morning at check-out the "poo" area was back in use. No. Just No... Pick somewhere else for God's sake.

Staff was very pleasant. Had requested a ground floor room as both parties are mobility impaired. Was assigned a third floor room. Definitely unhappy about that. The entrance to the property is NOT well marked, and the security lights in the parking lot are too few. The smell of marijuana in the hallway of the third floor was overwhelming.

The room was totally fine, and that is a huge plus. Overall though, I would not really recommend this hotel. Safety-wise, it was fine. I did have someone try to get into my room using a key card shortly after I arrived which was really scary, but I think they just forgot their room number. The hotel is set very far back from the road, and it\'s very dark at night and early morning and is backed up to like woods/brush. I didn\'t feel very safe in the parking lot. The biggest issue during my 4-night stay was that an alarm kept going off in the hallways at random times and then stopping after a couple of rings or minutes, and there was no communication from the hotel about what it was. It sounded like a fire alarm, but only in the hallways. I finally called the front desk, and they said it was something with the vents or exhaust in the pool. They didn\'t say, "we\'re working on it" or anything. It was very frustrating and disruptive of sleep! They should have just completely shut down the pool or something (anything!!). The hotel breakfast was fine (thanks to the waffles). This hotel is good if you\'re just dropping in and need a place to crash.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times. I tend to like Best Western because of their cleanliness, friendly staff and decent breakfast. This stay didn’t disappoint it was great as always. The lady in charge of breakfast was a super sweet nice lady.

The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was ok, only because there should be two waffle makers, especially on a weekend. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and efficient. The hot tub WAS NOT HOT! The pool was great.

The front desk clerk was annoyed and then just booked us a room and we went up there and it was still dirty. Had to hall everything back down to desk and get different room and breakfast was poor, cold eggs, waffle maker wasn’t working yogurt machine didn’t work had to ask staff repeatedly to look at it
