Avi Resort & Casino

Parking was easy. Elevator line was ridiculous. Only 1 elevator. Figuring out how to get to the elevator was not clear. You have to walk thru a food court and down a hall to find it. My first time here and I was a little lost on where to go. Picked this place because of the pool and beach area. I like that it's kid friendly. The kids loved the pool and waterslide. Our room was a little dirty and our window was full of handprints. I don't think the glass had been cleaned in a while. We stayed on the 6th floor with a view of the pool and that was nice.

The pool was closed down every day were there due to chemical emblances. All the hall ways smelled like marijuana. The carpet everywhere is run down. We also had an ice chest stolen and chairs stolen. They have slides and they dont put any staff to monitor. We saw a few injuries happen. This place feels like its not being kept up. The arcade is nice and the theater is cool. Room were okay but carpet is run down.

The pool and beach area is fabulous! Rooms are good, bathroom could use to be updated but all in all, a decent place to stay.

Rooms were great. Nicely refreshed recently. Huge rooms. The cigarette smoke in the casino and restaurant was horrendous! Couldn't belive the pool and river beach close early at 9pm!

Clean room, affordable, awesome pool area

Nice clean room, pet friendly if you have a service dog. Good variety of food options. Nice movie theater. Pool is probably the best in Laughlin. Elevator is very slow when hotel is crowded. Sports bar is small but a decent place to watch the game. Also, had a DJ Great beach area to lay out. Overall, nice clean hotel and if you golf, the golf course is great. Will definitely stay there in the future.

The slots were not paying at all . Biggest win $42 on mid to max bets. Front desk did not explain we could get a free coffee ticket daily or that free play expires after 24 hours. Avi club email informing me I had $5 free play did not work. Coffee staff super friendly! The back pool was nice and clean the front pool was murky. Would we stay again, possibly.

this property should be condemned it's absolutely disgusting dirty and super rundown the whole place smells bad and is falling apart the stuff themselves even admitted that at this point it was end of season and the place had been trashed the river smells like sewer and the pool was so full of screaming children it was impossible to enjoy the food options are non-existent and I was told by staff to avoid. the rooms were not clean, they moved me three times where one room didn't even have hot water. stains on the beds and just overall no maintenance the only bright spot is the staff, they're very nice and apologetic it's clear these are common complaints bottom line, avoid at all costs

The Avi is my go to spot in Nevada when visiting nearby family. Rooms are comfortable but the pool situation is terrible. Green water at both pools and jacuzzi’s. I know it happens but it was the same just a couple of weeks ago according to a family member that went there for his kids birthday. Pool team needs to step it up.

The room was very dirty. There were nail clippings, hair everywhere, and even pills under the bed. The bathroom was dirty and the water was filthy dark brown in the shower.

Typical smoke odor through the entire inside of report except our room. First assigned room had to be changed because 3 of us, including the bellman, noticed the sewage smell in the room. Second room smelled better however the next day the hotel water pipes for the well that’s drying out burst. I got brown water and spewing of air out of tge sink, the toilet flushed several times over an hour wirth Brown water, and lots of clanking hard sounds, the shower had black water coming out of it leaving black sediment in the tub and toxic gases.

The resort looks better online then in person in my opinion. I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6. The ac was not great. The pool water was green. Looks like the filter was not properly working.

We drove 8 hours, got to hotel and checked in. The luggage cart and the luggage helpers were no where to be found. They finally came out of their shack and told us only they can use the luggage cart and they don’t loan it out. Got up to our room unloaded luggage and went to the toilet only to find out there was NO toilet paper and had to call front desk to bring toilet paper. Sat there on the toilet waiting, called twice more, finally my wife went down hall looking for someone or a room open to get some. Ran into the second shift house cleaning manager and worker. They had a roll of toilet paper with them. Yay! Then we proceeded to explain it took at least 45 minutes! We showed them that the bathroom and the tub had not been cleaned and the bathroom floor was sticky. They apologized that the room was not cleaned before they assigned us the room. They quickly got supplies, cleaned the tub and mopped the floor. They were very helpful and efficient. Please recognize their professionalism!! Then last but not least,!!! We left clothes on hangars in the closet. We tried getting help with having them retrieved and the front desk and security and lost and found told us that they were BUSY! We called twice and got the same response, every one is BUSY! They woild not lend us any assistance in solving our problem.

The bathtub was very dirty and smells very bad

Carpet in rooms are in URGENT need of a wash - it is absolutely disgusting unacceptable Dusty furniture Over all cleaning needs major improvement Water in pool was really dirty too couldn’t even see the steps to get in And hot tub was a nasty blue cheese smell and a nasty foam

On checkin there was sunflower seeds in the carpet, hairs in the sink, shower, and toilet. The smoke detector was hanging by the wires, the toilet seat was loose resulting in almost falling off. The TV didn't work and all hdmi ports were pulled out. There was no coffee pot in room and you had to buy it in the casino for $4.50 per cup. All the money they make in the casino they should have good rooms but they don't.

This resort could be very beautiful if the cleanliness was kept up. Our first room had blood on the sheets and walls, & there was a tampon resting along the edge of the restroom wall. The pool was yellow, not joking, we went to the pool on the back side because it was way cleaner & when we walked out past the main pool, it was being caution taped. The river is the best part about this resort. Great if you have small kids, and great for big kids too! Easy & convenient access to the river. The resort has fast food options, an arcade & a movie theatre!

Had a room with a TV but unfortunately it didn’t work. Just kept trying to update for 5 days, nobody could fix it. Also the shower didn’t drain so well and the shower head only came on half way, not much water pressure.

The room was clean. There is no microwave or coffee maker in the room which is nice to have when staying for a few days. Housekeeping staff was friendly. Food court was nice and gift shop had a nice variety of items

The room needed to be vacuumed. We had extremely inadequate phone reception. The FREE Internet speed was also poor. The shower, even after allowing them to run.....forever, never even got to tepid. COLD shower before bed, and tried again in the early morning, still no warm water. Although the least expensive around, for another $2, the place down the road included breakfast. We had to walk halfway through the casino to find a cup of coffee. The room did not smell of tobacco smoke, but everything else did.

It was an older hotel but was clean. We had problems staying connected to wifi and they gave us coupons for free coffee in the casino because there aren't any in any of the rooms. Mattresses could stand to be replaced be not horrible. The pool and hot tub areas were nice. It wasn't a bad place but I didn't realize how far it was from the Laughlin strip 15 to 20 miles.

Average room, central tower gets smoke from casino. Beds not very comfortable, very hard.

Overall good stay. 1st night was in the central tower. Rooms are run down. Looked like it needed a deep cleaning. The tub was yellow stained and cracked. Missing the inner shower liner, and the rust was dripping off the curtain rod. Moved to the northern the 2nd night where the trims were much cleaner and not so old looking.

As soon as you enter the lobby, the hotel smells strongly of cigarette smoke. It's a bit run-down, and the carpets are very old. The room I stayed in was supposedly non-smoking, but it still smelled of cigarettes. I tried to charge my phone using one of the outlets on the furniture, but they weren't working. I moved the piece of furniture slightly to plug in my charger, and there was a lot of trash and dust behind it. They clearly never clean those areas because the trash looked like it had been there for a long time. We did have a good time in the casino, but the cigarette smoke was overwhelming, and there were many things advertised that weren't actually available. It's a decent hotel, but it wasn't what I expected.

There is a mini fridge, ironing board and iron in room, no coffee maker or microwave. Adjoining rooms are available. Lots of activities for kids. Overall, great place to stay and play.

Nice family oriented

Service was terrible. People were rude, the TV didn’t work, they were of no help. We checked out one day early. Tried to get compt but had no luck. We will not be going back. If I could get a refund for the second day that would be great

Pretty dismal experience. Started with check in; 2 workers, one doing nothing at all the other checking someone in. Waited 10min finally the working receptionist asked the non working one to check us in. Entire casino smells of smoke, literally made me gasp. WiFi wouldn’t connect; their answer was if you have Verizon you’re basically SOL. So, no WiFi. Spent the night and left at 4:30am.

The staff is the biggest asset of Avi. From check in (with Lily) to check out, they go above and beyond. The room: we got a king room. It was properly cleaned, but maybe shampooing the carpet would go a long way. It had a clean mini fridge with easy access to ice. The bathroom was clean (only issue is that the tap water and shower water is yellowish and smells like river water- did NOT brush our teeth with it). The first night, our linen bedding smelled like it was left in the washer too long, like mildew or mold). I mentioned it to the housekeeping staff and it was immediately resolved (they were awesome and a tip goes a long way). The pool was awesome, with waterslides and a kiddie pool. Offering fresh towels. Didn't smell too strongly of chlorine. Didn't go to the river at this location because it smelled gross, so we went to the public park instead. The casino downstairs smells like smoke/casino, as you would expect. Everyone was friendly every time we walked through it to get to the food court or outside to the pool. There's a Sabarro, Panda Express (super friendly employees), thrifty ice cream, and a subway. Overall, I recommend this place and will be coming back!!

We have been coming to the Avi every year for the past 7 years! Always a great time! I had a horrible experience this Saturday 8/9 with the roulette table dealer at about 8 pm. It was a lady who was so disrespectful and rude! Made my entire experience playing trying to enjoy my hard word earned money! She would slam the chips on the table and was rude that we needed to understand the game more. The dealer before her JOE was so thoughtful and was helping us all to play! being patient and kind. We were spending money there and when this lady dealer arrived within 4 minutes of playing and tolerating her rudeness I made her cash me out. I let the person who is behind her making change know that this lady was so rude! Please treat your employees to do better!

My room was done but no toilet tissue was left. I had to call room service to bring some, but they were fast to bring some to the room. Excellent service. Also needed more towels and got the service as well quick.

We enjoyed our stay but front desk reception was super rude! Love the little beach they had at the lake, food court and kids club was fun! Our kids really enjoyed it. The property needs a lot of remolding. Overall we had a good stay.

We would stay again and again. Wish we would've had more time. Only downside is that it's so far from EVERYTHING.

The hotel is not in Laughlin itself, but 24 km away. The casino strongly smelled of smoke with less than 10% of the casino area non smoking. The pool area was nice. The buffet was closed with the exception of major holidays. On our days the restaurant was also closed.

We were pleasantly suprised. We really had an amazing time. I feel the cabbanas by the pool were way 2 expensive, fabric chairs were grimy and dirty and the over priced drinks were alarming. However everything else was amazing. Resturant food needs upgrading on site but staff were very accommodating.

We had a great time there. The moon shadow grille was amazing. The ribeye steak with mushrooms was phenomenal. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly and helpful. The environment is a little dated but functional. We would stay there again.

The best option in the Laughlin area. Questionable cleanliness, the bathroom had a bunch of hair that was not ours, carpets are dirty, but the bed is comfortable and clean. The Moonshadow Grill is great, Harris Ranch beef, great staff, great quality food for the price. The pool area is outdated, the water in the pool is more green than blue but the kids loved it.

This property is a little limited on dinning and entertainment but makes up with exclusive features. The rooms are basic but very clean and well kept. Not many places offer a beach or river access here you get that and access to pools within a short walking distance of the building. In addition they offer a Kids zone for an hourly rate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our overall experience was very pleasant and will be looking forward to returning in the near future.
