Best Western Mt. Hood Inn

It is in a great location right off the highway. Its nice and quiet. The rooms are comfortable, nice beds, microwave, mini fridge. Big flat screen but could not access streaming apps. Very nice spa to relax in and they had a safe storage room for our bikes. The 24 hour snacks and drinks were a nice surprise along with an incredible free breakfast. Already talking about our next stay here.

The parking garage was a life saver! It was a very snowy weekend and I was happy to not have to clean off my car.

Covered parking is clutch! Great full breakfast both times I’ve stayed here. Friendly competent staff.

Hello: I just had a couple of suggestions for your staff for the future. In the winter, it would be great to have a nice fire 24/7. It would enhance the ambiance of staying there. We asked if one could be lit but they said they did not get their wood delivery??? We did stay during the holiday week (1/2 to 1/5) however, it would have been nice if the hotel was better prepared to have that going. Also, the breakfast in the morning is, for the most part, fairly good with the exception that the egg omelets were cold on the inside both mornings so they must be premade and then just heated up in the morning. Also, there seems to be a HUGE rush at 7 am so they ran out of eggs, sausage, coffee rather quickly and also the water jug is not filled promptly after it's emptied (like over an hour on Friday morning). Whoever is on staff needs to be more attentive on getting those items replenished more quickly. Having to wait over 15 minutes for the free breakfast is not a good experience. Finally, some car blocked the exit of the underground parking on Friday morning (on 1/3/25) so we had to back up and go out the "in" side. We had two cars behind us so that took another 20 minutes to get out of the parking garage. When we went in to the front desk, they said they knew about it and it had been parked all night there but they did not know what guest it was. I suggest you put a cone out to mark the area with a NO PARKING or DO NOT BLOCK THIS EXIT sign.

Luggage cart was wobbly and tires were low making transport a challenge. Hot tub area could use a table to store items and hooks to hang clothes on, Sauna was out of operation.

Spa area needs better cleaning.

Clean, quiet place to stay while exploring the Mount Hood area! Obviously a hotel gym is not necessary with nature everywhere but the hotel gym needs an upgrade. Breakfast is your standard hotel fare. No pool but there’s a hot tub. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable!

The sheets on both beds had stains. The chlorine in the hot tub was so high that it ruined the rest of our vacation. We smelled like chlorine for several days after a single use. The staff emptied the hot tub the morning after our stay but did not compensate us for the mishap. Pros: The hotel is conveniently located at the far end of Government Camp. We were able to walk to restaurants and parked in the underground lot.

The parking garage was a stress reliever when the hail storm was predicted.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a rather unpleasant experience. Firstly, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable—like sleeping on a sheet of wood with just a thin layer of foam on top. Despite putting a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, someone entered my room and made the bed. This disregard for privacy made me feel uneasy, as I couldn't shake the feeling that my belongings may have been tampered with. To add to the discomfort, I had to deal with a large carpenter ant in the bathroom, which was quite off-putting. The worst part of my stay, however, was waking up to find a tick on my body. This was not only alarming but also a serious health concern. Overall, my stay was far from satisfactory due to these issues. The lack of comfort and the invasion of privacy, coupled with the cleanliness concerns, made it an experience I would not want to repeat. I had friends that stayed a few minutes up the road at Timberline Lodge. I went there during my stay and found the beds to be far more comfortable. I regret not spending the extra money to stay there instead of this place.

Was an average best western. They did not make up our room during the stay. Bathroom tub faucet was loose. Not a bad place but don’t expect much.

Always a great spot to stay when enjoying the Mt. fun. We had a bit of a clogged drain in our bath shower though. Not sure but that is the first time there was any issues with cleanliness and housekeeping. Drain in bathtub in 117 needs attention. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Room was decent, just a few issues. Pillow covers had stains on them. Long hairs left in the shower. The bathroom door had a huge crack down the middle as if the it had been kicked in before. The room heating and AC had a terrible smell coming from it.

The water from sink in my room 117, smelled awful. The water in the toilet and shower were fine.

What a nice building and a nice staff! The room was good, the bed was comfy, and we had a nice chat with the front desk folks. It was good to have a very good restaurant right next door too! The only downer was the amount of times during our stay we had to kill large black ants crawling on the floor near the front door and in the bathroom. Not a big deal, because we live in the Pacific Northwest and it is Spring, so I informed the desk and they'll do the best they can for the area and the time of year.

Lots of noise from room above and traffic on the road outside. All staff seemed less than enthused to do their job. Staff at front desk wearing headphones or on their cell phones.

Make sure to ask for a room that is not directly above the garage door, which makes a loud noise when guest go into/out of the garage.

The staff was super nice and inviting. That being said the walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms around you and above. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the fridge sounds like it’s about to break at any given moment. I really liked that they had snacks and coffee all day long and a decent breakfast option but I suggest you stay away from the potatoes they were still ice cold. I feel like this would be a great place for someone just needing a quick place to stay. But not the best for a family wanting a getaway.

Nice walkable location in Government Camp, OR. We enjoyed the free breakfast each morning and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and a good size, plus a nice mtn view out our window!

The rooms are fine. What you would expect at a best western. At night, you could hear every footstep in the rooms above you. Breakfast was very mediocre. We only needed somewhere to crash for one night so it did the trick.

Building is nice, facilities appear to be nice (spa was out of order). Internet was painfully slow, so much we could not stream anything or cast to the smart tv. Staff are dressed casually and carry an oddly resentful attitude towards work. That said, the Manager Seth was professional.

We checked in late at night. There was a a note to press the doorbell type thing, if that did not work to pick up a walki talki and tell them you were at the counter. If that did not work call the number on the note. After doing the first and waiting about 10 min, I called the number. He picked up and said. Oh, you are here and hung up. Not friendly or helpful at all when asked about the area and food options.

Staff was very distracted at every encounter, either on their phones or messing around in the back. Very poorly managed.

The person checking us in was extremely rude and acted as if he didn’t want to talk to anyone or help us. Basically just checked us in and threw the keys on the counter and sent us away. Very unprofessional and I am very unhappy with this service.

The staff was outstanding, especially the night manager and staff. We were stuck due to being locked out of our car at Skibowl. The night manager was courteous beyond belief and offered us snacks and breakfast items for our dinner option, as it was close to midnight. That was comforting and much appreciated. They were an awesome bunch.

Really enjoyed only being 19 minutes from Mt. Hood Meadows. Less time driving, more time on the mountain.

The only complaint I have is that it was located near a major road. It was a little noisy at night with trucks flying by. Also, the breakfast area was extremely small for the size of the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location for being close to snowboarding, tubing, and restaurants. We always enjoy coming here!

I thought the location was the reason why it was so expensive. It turned out it was a horrible spot. It was so noisy. Traffic passed through the street all night long unless you were dead sleep otherwise you would up all night. Hotel front desk didn't replenish any water nor coffee in the lobby at all. Don't waste your money.

We stayed there three nights for a ski trip mini-vacation (Mt. Hood Meadows). This place is further away from My. Hood Meadows than I thought (about 20 minutes away). The road noise from the freeway kept us up the first night - but we were able to get around that the second and third nights by turning the fan on full blast. The Continental breakfast was great and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was right in government camp so there was easy access to ski bowl, Timberline, or Meadows. The stores for shopping and dining were all right there and just steps to the Mt. Hood Brewery. The hotel was clean, safe, and staff were all helpful. The parking garage was great!

Start serving breakfast at 6 a.m. because skiers/snowboarders need to leave by 6:30 a.m.

Breakfast options were very limited. Only apples, no low fat or fat free milk. No high fiber options. Needed to ask for items they ran out of. They were helpful. Only on lamp on one side of the bed. Toilet paper like sandpaper.

Breakfast and snack area was poorly serviced, low or out of foods, and staff was slow or not refilling food items at all well before end of breakfast. Area at dining room was dirty. Tables and food storage areas. Bedroom was clean, and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay and we booked because it had free breakfast which was convenient, but unfortunately they run out of everything and there is only one person managing the food. It took them 30 minutes to get more eggs and sausage and basically everything when asked. I felt bad for the guy working this area! Free parking was also included, but they don’t have enough parking spaces for the number of rooms, they asked we parallel park on the street that connect to the neighbor restaurant…. I wouldn’t go back. The staff was okay, maybe more smiles and communication would have changed this review.
