Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield

Everything in the room worked, but in my opinion, the overall condition was poor. The shower worked better than most I’ve seen in hotels or motels in recent years, but about that toilet shower area, it was gross. I think the corners of bathrooms usually tell the tale of the grunginess of a room. I have attached photos I took of the bathroom floor-wall juncture and a corner; they seem quite gross to me. My mattress had a dip in the middle, which I tried to fill with some pillows, but I still woke up with a backache each day. The bed made a noticeable squeaking sound whenever I moved around. The sink water came out at hardly more than a trickle. The TV worked, but it was pretty old and had just about the worst quality picture I’ve seen on a hotel or motel TV, not reception, picture quality. The lamp/table was rickety and unstable. The sink area is part of the room. Some people like that, but I do not. We had no problems with noise from our neighbors whatsoever, but down at the other end of the building, there was a bit of intermittent noise, so be aware of that potential. The room was just pretty beaten-down, and didn’t feel clean. It had a hinky old vibe if you ask me.

The hotel needs some updates. Wallpaper falling off the walls and rust stains in the tub. Sinks took forever to drain. Just not worth what I paid.

The room we had was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good. We just wished the hot food would be switched to something different every couple of days. Will definitely stay there again.

The staff was wonderful all around from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast cottage. I think the only "issues" would be; The beds were a little hard for us adults but the kids seemed fine and the indoor pool was labeled 81 degrees on the sign but definitely was not. Felt very cold despite the room being so very warm. The breakfast offerings were perfect and delicious! Easy check in and check out. Thabk you!
