The onsite restaurant, Locanda, served very good Italian food. This is run by a separate company that rents the space from the Holiday Inn. The regular Holiday Inn breakfast was just so-so; buffet-style:- scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, waffles or pancakes, yogurt, cereal, apple and orange juices, english muffins. The outdoor pool was nice and clean but un-heated. The exercise room is small with only three exercise machines. Some areas of the hotel are showing signs of wear/tear on the walls. The hotel is pet friendly. The luggage trolleys are three-wheeled and have poor stablity. Putting anything at the front of the trolley tends to make it tip over to one side.

The property is located right off of route 1. It was very convenient. The outdoor pool was beautiful! Very clean. It had trees all around so you couldn’t hear the traffic on route one. There is a great Italian restaurant inside. Food was very good. They don’t open until 4pm. It would have been nice to have something on site for lunch or a drink at the pool. They also don’t have a blender so they don’t make any froze drinks. It’s summer and Pina colada poolside would have made my day. The staff was pleasant. Cons: The room itself is very outdated. It was clean but dark and worn. The bathroom was tight. You could open the door without hitting the toilet. They use cloth shower curtain liners and the bottom of our reeked of mildew. The bathroom needs TLC big time! I think this hotel chain needs to update the rooms. $400 + tax is a lot to pay for an outdated room.

The room was great. Beds are comfortable. Air conditioning so nice. The pool was very nice. We were very disappointed that the restaurant/bar was closed. We specifically came back to hotel to grab a bite to eat and a drink. It was closed on Labor Day, a busy travel day. Overall, a good experience. The front desk staff was great. Kyla was great.

The property itself is getting to be outdated. It’s a pretty average hotel, nothing more nothing less. The most inconvenient issue is that after checking in, the elevator is about a mile walk from the front desk on a carpeted floor which makes it difficult to push suitcases etc. Makes no sense.

The hotel grounds, pool, and room all seemed clean and well maintained. All the staff are very helpful and nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel is starting to show it age a bit but is still very comfortable and clean. The location is safe and I had no worries about my car and belongings. It's about 15 mins to the beaches to the south and about 20 mins to Newport.

The carpets throughout the property are heavily soiled and give off an unpleasant odor, The bed pillows also carried a dirty smell, making it difficult to feel comfortable or get proper rest. While the bathroom was reasonably clean, its outdated fixtures and overall worn condition reflected the lack of investment in upkeep. the condition of the property was disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel.

I liked it but it had some flaws. The staff was friendly and allowed us to check in about an hour early into our room. The hotel is located within walking distance from a Dunkin, subway, and gas station so, convenient. It also has a bar/restaurant attached. The pool is a good size, has a deeper end, and there is a lot of seating provided for the patio area. The room was a decent size apart from the bathroom which was so small you could barely fit two people in it to brush their teeth. Also, the shower was dirty from the previous guest I’m assuming. Dirt on the tub floor and walls. There was also an awful smell in the hallways on the second floor. It wasn’t in the room thankfully. Maybe the carpet in the hallway could use a good deep cleaning. Overall, it was good for a family night away but wasn’t my favorite.

The exterior of the property was nice. The lobby and restaurant are was nice. The rooms are very, very outdated. The rug in the room looked grimy, the television offered nothing but basic cable, no outlets for phone charging near bed………. Very disappointing. I would not recommend or stay again

Overall it was a good stay - the room was clean but the only two things we did not like were the bed was extremely firm (did not sleep well and felt like sleeping on a rock; which is something that some people do like, just not us) and the bathroom was very small. Other than that, it was perfect for what we were doing in having a central place to stay and explore Narragansett and Newport.

Check-in was friendly and efficient, hotel and our room were clean. The bed was very comfortable. The walls by the windows definitely need some attention. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. We were a big crowd and our server was attentive, and the food was delicious.

I was stayin for 2 nights, I left do not disturb on the door so didn’t get housekeeping. I arrived late and ask for a bottle of water, explaining that I didn’t get housekeeping therefore I don’t have water. They refused to give a bottle of water saying that they don’t replenish water bottles, if is only complementary at arrival. Maybe one need to reserve day by day in this property!! They are far from hospitable

I accidentally booked my room through Expedia, not Holiday Inn. The price wasn't much cheaper but you get the worst rooms and service this way. Staff was almost rude when I inquired how my reservation was through Expedia. Nobody greeted us coming or going walking past the front desk in thre lobby. Grounds and pool area were very unkept. 2nd floor hall way by stairs smelled like someome puked and nevwe got cleaned up. Very disapointed with my visit. We will be looking for a new hotel to stay in when we visit RI.

This was our third stay at this location. Last year we had no issues whatsoever so we were confident in our stay this time around. However, our room had many issues. The door didn’t shut tight on its own, the bathroom door had to be shoved closed hard, the bathroom skink was backed up and filled up every time you turned it on, the outlets were faulty and the lamp kept turning on and off. Our fridge kept shutting off on us. I put in a complaint at the front desk and was told maintenance would check out our complaints and if they could not be resolved they would move our room. They did not move us nor improve anything other than the faulty outlet. Housekeeping was very pleasant and did a wonderful job keeping us stocked and our room clean. The location is perfect for us but seeing as we weren’t respected guests even though I booked this august trip back in April, we won’t be staying here again.

The hotel grounds, pool, and room all seemed clean and well maintained. All the staff are very helpful and nice. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel is starting to show it age a bit but is still very comfortable and clean. The location is safe and I had no worries about my car and belongings. It's about 15 mins to the beaches to the south and about 20 mins to Newport.

Nice room and location. The only negative thing I could say is that sometimes it was difficult to get out of the parking lot onto the main road. But I didn't find out until after my stay that there is a back way out.

This hotel was right for the price and overall a good stay. However I was very disappointed with the breakfast for 13.95 per person. Although there was many items it couldn’t have been an unhealthier carbohydrate and fat centered breakfast. I asked for a yogurt and the guy replied a harsh “ No”. Biscuits and gravy and plenty of bacon and sausage and tons of muffins and bread and bad cereals. The fruit all looked old and left over. Very disappointed.

What an amazing find. The hotel we were supposed to stay at and Narraganett was undergoing construction and we have upon this Holiday Inn. Great location, close to Narraganett, Wakefield, Wickford and the beaches. I was amazed at how well thought out this hotel was. From a nightlight and nonslip surface in the bathtub/shower to the amzing Italian restaurant Locanda located just off their main lobby
