Great location, friendly staff. Easy check in, nice lounge area upon entering. The pool and jacuzzi was warm. Our room was nice and comfy, the only issue was the bathtub backed up while showering. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

My stay was AWESOME!!! The only negative was trying to find a parking spot that wasn't the size of a golf cart. I drive a Silverado and it was nearly impossible to find a parking spot that my truck would fit in.

It was great however wish the indoor pool was not ice cold as its indoors should be heated. The hottub was FABULOUS!!! We slept great and enjoyed the night only stayed one night. Thanks for everything.

Close to all the things we wanted to do! The room itself was not bad. However, the shower was dirty and moldy!! Overall not a bad stay. Just clean it up!

The front office staff was amazing!! The best part of our stay. The room it self was very “lived in”. Not the cleanest. The bathroom especially was dirty. The floor, the shower had hair on the floor and the walls and there wear beard hair and shaving cream left smeared on the shower walls. I was shocked, especially because it was a Marriot.

Did not like anything!! The room was disgusting. All you could smell was DOG urine. If they have dogs in a room, after they leave, the carpet should be cleaned. There should be rooms that is not pet friendly. The carpet in the hall was really nasty with stains and DOG urine. The odor was disgusting thru out the motel.....When you discuss the issue with the employees,they didn't want to address the issue.

Nice stay. It is a lovely location. We had been in Wilmington for a concert and just wanted a day to roam around Barefoot Landing, so the location was perfect. The lady who checked us in was wonderful!! She was so kind and charming. The room was very comfortable except that the AC unit was a little bit loud but not awful. Ultra comfortable and clean linens and towels.

The property was in a fairly convenient location at the destination and check-in was quick and easy. The room, however, was not as comfortable as the marketing had indicated. Here’s why: the room is very cramped with a very small bathroom/vanity area which also included the closet for hang-up clothing which made it feel even worse. The carpet in the room seemed to have an odor to it; the bed was too soft for my wife’s comfort and lastly, the seating in the room is outdated and NOT comfortable! In fact, the seating was among the worst I have ever experienced in motel/hotel stays!

Pros: Decent dining options around the hotel. Close to public access beaches etc. Cons: Breakfast not included in stay, and the "complimentary" breakfast item cost money. Housekeeping was very loud in a old building, thin walls I'm guessing. As other reviews stated, this hotel is very dated. All in all, clean and a good place to crash. Only free things there: the coffee served from 7a-1030a, the wifi, and the pool. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not.

The property is in need of updating. The bed pillows if you want to call them that were terrible. Unbelievably small and uncomfortable for a king size bed. The carpet in the common areas were stained and extremely worn. The worst Marriott I have stayed in. The room was hard to get to a comfortable temperature because of the old unit inside. I wouldn’t recommend this property until upgrading is done.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lobby is very nice, as well as the patio area. However, the hotel room is in need of updates - furniture worn, rusted areas in shower and floor area, toilet tissue holder coming off wall, sheets looked worn - small hole in it. I was going to ask for a different room but didn’t want to get something worse.

I want to compliment and give 100 ☆☆☆☆☆ to Penny M. and Josaih for the extra customer service they did to us. Penny did the xtra mile to help my wife with a personal issue with her watch charge. Josaih and Penny never hesitate to gave us a professional and super friendly service always. They both deserves excellent ☆☆☆☆☆ ratings and a monetary prize.

It was just ok. Price seemed high for just ok. A few cleaning issues, but not enough to turn me out the door, but should have been better. Glad I carry some cleaning wipes. Front staff excellent. Housekeeping sat in the middle of hall making it hard to get past with luggage even when she was standing there and I asked her to move a little.

Didn"t get the room I paid for, room did not come with a sofa instead had 2 regular chairs with a foot stool. Made mention to Desk and they said there were no different in the room other than the furniture. In order to get the room paid for the Desk reception said we would have to check back out and wait for about 2 hours for a room to come available.. Was not please at all with the service.

When we arrived at the hotel they had a lot of construction going on that we weren’t told about. When we checked in we asked to be in a room not close to the construction since we wanted to rest after a long trip. The front desk attendant was very rude and told us they were doing construction everywhere in the hotel and then put us in a small room next to the elevator right above the loud construction in the front of the hotel. It was warm in the room when we arrived so we turned the air down and when we came back in it was warm again. The bathroom fan stopped working as well but then started again. The front desk clerk was unfriendly again in the morning when we asked about the availability of breakfast. Not sure if I will return to this hotel

The staff are very friendly and accommodating compared to most of the hotels I’ve previously stayed. In addition they don’t hesitate to go around their standard policies that really are unnecessary in my book and give hotels a reason to charge a guest more than should be allowed. I give a shout out to both Bobby Joe and Madden for being very helpful.

We were told at check in for our week long stay, by Alvin, that our room would be cleaned every other day. A Light cleaning Monday, and Wednesday, regular cleaning Friday. Monday evening returned to the room and it wasn't cleaned. Reported it to the front desk and they apologized and said the room would be regular clean Tuesday. The room was cleaned on Tuesday as promised. I asked the front desk what the schedule would be for the remainder of the week. I was told that another regular cleaning would be scheduled for Thursday. We returned to our room at 10:45 Thursday evening only to discover that the room was not cleaned yet again. When I reported this to the front desk, they, once again, apologized and offered to have it cleaned right then and there. I declined. My family had been out all day and I didn't want to leave our room yet again at that hour of the night. I was looking for an explanation, not another empty apology. I was told by the front desk that it would be addressed with management on Friday morning. When leaving for the day on Friday, I again notified the front desk person of the issue, and as she attempted yet another apology. I expressed my disappointment with spending our vacation week, with used towels and overflowing garbage cans in my room. Certainly not what I was expecting from a Marriott owned property. Needless to say, no proper explanation from management for this neglect was ever given.

Great location near everything. The hotel is clean and the staff are amazing. Small bistro that serves breakfast and dinner. We had both and it was delicious the staff at the bistro were above and beyond! The room was clean and bed was comfortable with good pillows. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower and sink was amazing! Only negative was the hallway did smell of weed (not the hotel fault of someone is doing that). The heat in the room took sometime to kick in and the heating unit was loud. The housekeeping was great I called as the hairdryer was broken and low in some of the toiletries and within 5 minutes a new dryer and full bottles of conditioner and body wash was at our door! I would highly recommend !

No coffee available except expensive Starbucks coffee and only when the expensive Bistro was opened. No free breakfast offered...you have to dine at the expensive Bistro. Reservation "specialist" named Jay was very rude to me and didnt have a clue what he was doing. However, the staff at the Hotel was very kind. My room was nice also.

Only stayed 1 night. Hard to judge with a quick stay. Only thing that wasn’t great was the small restaurant. Food wasn’t very good and they didn’t have much to offer. The gentleman who seemed to be cooking our food and waiting on us wasn’t very friendly.
