Courtyard by Marriott Spokane Downtown at the Convention Center

Disappointing that a hotel under renovation would not inform guests prior to their arrival. Had we known the pool would be closed we wouldn’t have booked in with an entire hockey team. There was no mention of a renovation or closures at any time.

Couldn’t even use the pool.. which was the main reason of staying at the hotel.. there was a big group of adults drinking in the hot tub and their kids were diving and screaming in the pool you couldn’t even hear yourself talk..

No hot water from the room’s sink. Noise from room next door and in the hall. Facilities (pool, rec area);unavailable due to renovations; but no mention of this when we made our reservation…we got a notice after the reservation was made. There should be a discount because of limited facilities available at this time.

Great place to stay. No pool or Jacuzzi though.

The only thing that I didn’t like they are putting to much chemicals in the hot tub and pool. It would have been so nice but the bleach smell from the chemicals was burning our eyes after a few minutes. We had to get out.

Great stay. Charging for parking-not cool without warning. Loved the hot tub and rooms were very clean. Would stay again.

This hotel still under construction

Everything was great except for way too much chlorine in the pool and hot tub. Stays with you even after a shower, granddaughter threw up from the chlorine vapors. All of our eyes were burning. Other than that, I love the place and stay there often

Great hotel & location. My only complaint would be the charge for parking. Seems crazy to charge $10 for a guest to park in a big open lot with no security.

Our stay was comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay here I would definitely go back. Only complaint was the filthy shower.

Place was pretty dirty, hair in the shower, hair on the "clean towels" and in the bed. The shower wouldnt drain so that was kind of gross but whatever. Staff was nice and decent location.

Dirty room

Friendly check in. Exceptionally clean.

The floors were dirty. The shower curtain was dirty.

Very disappointing..black mold in the bathroom, toilet didn’t flush and WiFi did not work. Very helpful staff though

The front desk staff was quite friendly and helpful. However, housekeepers never came to make up my room. I had to ask for clean towels for the next day. Also, the door latch system was strange. The deadbolt stayed out so that the automatic door closer would not close the door. I didn’t realize that the door was still ajar until I went to leave. I had to manually crank the deadbolt back. Not safe.

This is my second stay, my husband’s first. Both stays were WONDERFUL!! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms and lobby area were very clean and comfortable. We will be back- guaranteed!! Thank you, Annie & Bob

Check in was easy, front desk staff were always friendly. Room was sort of outdated, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good (paid). Really liked having a Starbucks on site. Walls were a little thin, could hear the cars crossing the bridge. Great location for being near Riverfront Park; perfect for walking.

Customer service during check in was fabulous. The rooms are comfortable and clean but a little dated with popcorn ceilings. The centennial trail is right outside and walking distance to parks and the downtown area.

The Suite was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and Friendly. Breakfast service was delicious with many items to choose from.

It was underwhelming for the price but clean and we liked our view.

Great location in downtown Spokane. Main lobby is very cozy, modern and a great place to work or relax. I appreciated the rooms have a balcony and sliding door to open to get fresh air.

The shower was not in great shape. Towels seemed very old and thin. WiFi kept cutting out. There was signs to an ice machine, but never found it.

The AC systems are to load and I woke up twice in the middle of the night.. staff is great .. room was fine but to noisy

Pictures are nicer than the actual hotel. Nothing wrong with it but I expected a little more. Felt slightly dated. In hotel amenities were meh. Rooms were comfortable enough but lacked any sort of wow factor.

I’ve stayed here multiple times with family, but the front desk staff threatened to kick my autistic husband out of the hotel at 2am because they said he was being erratic and belligerent!!!! It was one specific staff member, we were traveling for business with our 7 month old and this staff member thought it was suspicious and erratic that we were up at 2am even when traveling with a baby and was extremely rude to my husband.

Welcoming front staff

We stayed for a convention. It was perfect for our needs - an easy walk to the convention center. The manager, I think his name was John, was very accommodating regarding an error I had made when making the reservation.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly and professional. They made the entire stay special. The facility had been newly renovated just a few months before. Everything was beautiful and fresh. Special call-outs for: * Janine and Jon at the front desk: They were cheerful and fun to talk to. * Eric and Sherry at the Starbucks: Offered suggestion on alternatives because my wife is doing Keto. * Pablo of the maintenance staff: He greeted us with a cheerful "hello", then waved at the baby at the table next to ours. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.

The staff excellent. They went above and beyond for their guests to make the stay wonderful.

I would like to thank the staff for their hospitality. I was accommodated with a few requests in a timely manner.

Was under construction which would have been nice to know pre-booking, the night staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by asking for an extra blanket and pillow.

Stay was awesome, the check in was absolutely the best experience had in last three days traveling. Room was great. Loved being here.

The staff at the reception was extraordinarily polite, friendly, professional, and fun!

The Check in person was very nice. I asked her if they served breakfast she said yes. I thought we were going to be served continental breakfast. Found out we had to purchase the food. I found that La Quinta is just as nice and serve continental breakfast. Staff there are all courteous. The morning staff at reception was not nice. No one said good morning only 1 person and it was a maintenance person.

Good location, right next to the trail by the river. Walkable to downtown. Friendly staff.

Great location

This is a great property for visiting downtown Spokane. It feels secluded and quite, but connects directly to the park so you can safely walk anywhere you want to go downtown. Plus it has easy free parking which is hard to come by in Spokane. The staff was welcoming and the room had a great layout.

Wonderful stay on the South side of the Spokane River, just to the East of Division. The hotel was quiet and had ample nearby parking. Just a few short blocks from downtown, it's truly a convenient location.

This property is right on the walking trail into downtown making it a great location to walk to restaurants, events and shopping.

It was a great stay. My husband and I took a long walk by the river and over to Gonzaga University. It was very beautiful and took us less than 15 minutes to get to campus from the hotel. Our stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed the Starbucks coffee choices in the morning.

This was a great stay for my friend and I. The Bistro was amazing and having that option was amazing. The lobby was not filled with loads of kids and it was so relaxing.

Did not know about paying for parking. No breakfast, and lobby very expensive to eat. Not a good value for the price.

We chose this hotel as the last stop on a roadtrip, knowing that we would be checking in after 9pm (got there around 11pm), and wanting a place with 24-7 check-in as well as 12pm checkout the next day. Check-in/check-out were both quick and easy, but do note that they will give you a parking pass for your car, and that they charge $10/day to your credit card put down for incidentals just to park in their huge lot. That wasn't advertised, but at least we only had to pay for a single day (wait...or two? I wonder what time of day they go around to check and charge people? I need to review my charges...) Also, we thought they had a starbucks on site, but this is incorrect- they just have an in-house cafe that SERVES starbucks coffee... and that in-house cafe is literally only open from 6am-10am which we found a bit ridiculous, as people who enjoy sleeping in but still want caffeine once we're up and about. Now, for the good: everything was very clean, the balcony was nice even though there wasn't much of a view from ours- trees gave privacy from the hotel rooms across the way; fridge was nice to have, vending machines down by the front desk, big tv, and we chose a double queen room even as a couple since it gave us more square footage which made it more comfortable. so if you aren't tempted by the $5 water bottles in the room, don't mind paying for parking, and want the chance to spot a porcupine in the parking lot- this is the hotel for you!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard. The on-site bistro was especially a blessing as I was ill and having ready access to food and water without traveling or ordering in was wonderful.
