Pros: Entrance/Front desk area was nice. Beaches, water, and snorkeling were beautiful. Cons: Two out of the three bars on property were always closed. 2 restaurants on the property, one was closed down the day after we got there for renovations, leaving one restaurant for the whole property. All you can eat buffet was open for breakfast, lunch, dinner for only 2 hour increments and kept running out of food each time. Fitness Center was always locked. I understand the resort was dealing with the aftermath of a storm, but the property was under constant construction and very noisy. Caution tape everywhere. Ran out of water bottles. Denied bottled soda. Had to spend money at the all-inclusive resort’s gift shop to get water, drinks, and limited snacks. No elevators.

good that if was on the ocean. had a gym. the noise from the activities was a problem. those activities should have been held on the non ocean side this was the only hetel i have been to that could not call me a taxi

Be aware the entire beachfront area of the hotel is currently not accessible and cannot be used as of March 5. Oceanfront rooms have a view of sand bags and construction as the hotel continues to repair from storm in early Feb. Guests must use the property of the sister hotel Cornwall next door and share the beach there. The property is currently very difficult for those with mobility disabilities to visit. Rooms are in bad shape and overall lack of any maintenance done in the rooms or on property.

I liked that we could use both Cornwall and Montego Beach resort during our stay. Lots of access to beaches and dining, plus coffee and gym were great! So good that we didn’t leave the resort once! Beautiful location, super close to the airport, lovely sunsets, coffee is delicious and the gym had everything we needed to keep fit. Food tasted great, even though I ate like a queen, I felt like I was more in shape during my trip than usual. But that’s because the quality of the food was amazing, I wasn’t stressed and I stayed consistent with my fitness. I would definitely go back. And recommend to friends and family. Only thing I noticed is the staff doesn’t really seem to have much urgency. I’ve been to Jamaica before but a different resort and it was a contrast. Not speaking on allllll the staff but majority seemed to be on their own time and schedule. Water wasn’t refilled daily in our room but they got us extra pillows when we asked for them which was nice :)

Drink are not watered down 5 stars. 5 min from the airport close to night clubs and shopping. No airport transportation.

Sharing amenities with sister hotel

Lots of areas to rest and relax. You have access to different pools and beach.

The hotel rooms are worst than homeless shelterd. Broken appliances bathtub with damage and no paint mold im washroom parking problems no elevator nust to beg for serves to pour water or coffee if u dont tip thry even make u wait 10 minutes at the table watching ur platr without access to fork and spoon because they dont bring. Also absolutely not disabled friendly

The rooms were nasty. The towels were nasty. We did not even get face towels. Did not even have hot water. Did not have facial tissues. Did not have an iron. Did not have an ironing board. And the tub was disgusting.

This hotel needs to be completely renovated, cleaned and overhauled all together. The rooms and washrooms were dirty, smelly and the beds were uncomfortable. The food options were terrible, and the staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. I 100% would not recommend this resort to anyone unless they only want to be by the beach for the sun and sand. The management of this establishment needs to hire a consultant and some investors.

I was very disappointed in the condition of our room. When we arrived the room tv was not working, no towels available and the phone did not work. There is mold on the sink and the window curtains. Water was dripping on the floor between the beds we had to use the towels they brought us that night to wipe it up. Water was dripping from the ceiling while we use the toilet. We reported these conditions to the staff and was told we would be switched to another room the next day but they did not switch us. We never got any room service the entire time we were there. It’s as if they forgot that room 15 exist. We asked for our money back and were told that’s not possible. I would never recommend anyone to go to this hotel. We paid over $800 usd to stay for 2 nights and felt like we were in a dump. One of the staff also agreed that the room was not prepared for guest and that’s unacceptable. The manager only apologize and said the building is under construction and all that will be fixed in the next week. If this was the case they should not have rented the room. Do not stay at Montego Bay Decameron. You will regret it. I wish I could upload pics and videos of the room but do not see any place to do so. I also clicked 1 star and the system keep putting 2. They deserve zero stars.

Check in takes extremely too long, and the front desk staff is rude when you ask about it. The food is terrible and the servers don’t act like they want to help you if they don’t see tip money in advance. Our room had a huge dead cockroach in our tub, and apparently them still cleaning our room is what took so long to check in. Doors in the rooms didn’t seal and the very small beach area was a mess.

We were first placed into a room with no ac after having to walk up flights of stairs. The second room we were placed into the sheets were dirty with stains and the maid didnt even finish her work. Left the pillows in the middle of the bed without pillow cases. No tissue was replaced. Called downstairs no answer. Went downstairs spoke with front desk and no solution at all. Spoke to management said no maids were there and that he would sit the stuff upfront by the time i returned to the resort. Returned to the resort with no one at the front desk nor items for my bed in sight

The bathrooms are moldy, outdated, half of the properties under construction. I had three oceanfront rooms that was the worst on the second floor a hot water pipe bust in the hallway that nearly burnt my daughter after the Mangement had it dried up, and I guess he fixed the pipe. I thought a slip and fell on a day of checkout. It was still leaking on the floor also down in the lobby and in the kitchen, the elevator has been broken for 10 years Expedia I want my money back and I do have pictures.

I love the views at this hotel! The ocean view from the rooms and the amount of access to the beach that you have (Maybe the only reason I would return). The downside to this hotel, the room was dirty.. I didn’t even have any towel in the room when I checked in, I had to go down to receptionist to get towels because the phone in the room never worked and wasn’t even on. I was handed the towels as if I was begging and not a guest. Just cold reception. The bathroom, especially the tub was disgusting and moldy, my skin crawled whenever I would step in. The staff at the buffet would ignore you and have you waiting so long to get a drink. I usually would have to walk up to one and always ask for a drink before I got some attention. The staff weren’t very friendly except a couple of the guys. I only like this place for the views. In addition, the men working here will hit on you nonstop! It’s like from one to the other. No matter how uncomfortable you were, they wouldn’t quit. I just couldn’t understand why almost all of them did this. Made me so uncomfortable.

The bathrooms were in very poor condition, and the towels were old, hard, and dingy. If they were meant to be white, they certainly did not appear so. Thankful I always traveled with my towel, but my son and out guest had to use these disgusted towels. The property is an ideal location for our plans, but it need lots of improvement and the property manager needs to keep up with the appearance.

Wonderful staff and comfortable rooms all being upgraded. It’s excellent location and good transportation connections. Shares beach next door so good water.

The pillows and beds were very hard. Lack of hot water pressure. People were great, food is excellent and drinks are amazing.

I enjoyed the staff and events. Beds were comfortable and pools and bars were cool. I didn’t not have hot water for showers and the room was a bit dated.

Room had an amazing view, and was spacious. The bathroom, while it looked clean felt dirty due to the aging pipes due to the salt from the ocean. Staff was friendly and always willing to help.

The stay was great good food and entertainment great distance from the airport too but the room was wet 24/7 from the coldest of the room and outside being so hot even when AC was off all night just water everywhere all over the ceiling walls and ground

The property was built long ago and so it doesnt have all the most modern facilities, but our room was on the 4th floor and it had a wonderful view. The newer property "cornwall" is more modern 😁. But this property had more vibes.

I loved the night entertainment group, the staff and the beach area was perfect. I didn't like that across or next to the resort cars park there and make extremely loud noise at night and listen to super loud music until 3am. the rooms were outdated, with poor locks and my balcony didn't lock at all. Tub was very old, and the furniture in the room. But overall we made the best of it and had a great time. Just needs some update on furniture and paint.

The price was good. The property is one of the older hotels in the area. They have obviously tried to keep up with repairs but the restroom needs some updating. The room was comfortable and the food was good. The beach area is small but really nice. I enjoyed my stay and I would go back.

This was my first experience with an all-inclusive resort so take everything I say with that in mind. First thing I will say is you can’t beat the location of the resort, it’s literally five minutes from the airport which was so nice flying in and just having a 5 minute drive to get to the hotel. Once we got to the resort the staff were so helpful, saw a lot of reviews saying checking in was a nightmare, that wasn’t the case for me, maybe that’s because we flew in mid-week, might be a different story if you fly in during the weekend, but we got to our room within 10 minutes of arriving. The room itself left a lot to be desired, the bathroom especially was not modern at all, the whole room felt like it needed an upgrade, but we decided to deal with it and just tried to spend as much time on the beach as possible. Two things, the smart TVs were not “smart” for some reason, they only let you watch live TV and couldn’t get Netflix or any streaming services, but the A/C in the room was fantastic! One of the best feelings everyday was walking back in the room from the hot sun and feeling that cool A/C when you step in your room. The food was decent, nothing crazy good, just solid, and the serving staff were always nice and accommodating. Overall I’d recommend this resort if you’re on a budget like I was, the location was great, and the entertainment at night was good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, from the security guard at the gate, to the check in, restaurant and maintenance staff all over the complex. They were ready and willing to help, and seemed genuinely concerned to ensure we were having a good time and enjoying the facilities

Check in was horrible. They said check in starts at 3pm. I got the rooms 6pm. They only had one restaurant opened on site with 3 separate hotels join together. The restaurant was completed booked

I don’t even wanna say less Expedia gonna block me. But please don’t book this hotel the front desk staff alone will make you wanna run. Book this hotel at your own risk.

The nightly entertainments were all good and the staff at the bar are friendly overall great place to stay including the beach area

The hotel was quiet and the meal options were good. The other section of the hotel called Cornwall Beach was way better though in terms of food options and the modern lobby and coffee station was a wonderful touch. The checking process was not good. I arrived at 2:30 and finally got my room at 5:00. A whole day wasted for such a short trip of just 2 nights. Another thing was that a particular staff member in the snack area was asking for tips which we found inappropriate since we had just stepped foot on the property. We were also rudely awakened by a cockroach on night 2 of our stay this is quickly dealt with by my partner. The beds in the standard rooms were also very hard. We didnt have proper sleep throughout the stay. The days spent at the beach, seeing the views, eating at the Cornwall section of the property made it worthwhile. They need to update the Montego Beach section and get rid of the lenghthy checking in process. It dampens the whole trip.

Ive stay at this property a few times. Renovations are coming along. Food was good. The staff was professional. My check in was a little bit longer than usual. My suggestion would be that when a room isn’t ready and a guest is waiting, instead of having the guest come back n forth to check, they should take a contact number or text the guest that the room is ready. This would prevent what I went though. Kept checking, it wasn't ready n sat in the waiting room for an hour longer than necessary because no one told me It was ready at that point.

I like the wait staff. Every food server had a great attitude. The people at the front desk were AWFUL.

The front desk staff were very professional and welcoming. Unfortunately the room did not have towels when I checked in. I asked a member if the housekeeping staff for towels but she said they were out of towels. I was shocked! The poolside and bar drinks were good. I was a bit disappointed by the food offerings and the wait time for drinks in the buffet area. I wish they offered curry chicken curry goat or salmon.

Check in started the stay off a bit rocky but most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing!! The rooms are not the best but the views made up for it. I would stay again. Shout out to the front desk supervisor who made things a little more accommodating. I did not get her name but she is a gem! Thank you!!!

The location was great, close to the airport and close to downtown. The price was good but the food was not that good.

My main attraction is the ocean, the resort is right on the beach and all rooms are facing the ocean. The view is Spectacular!

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to have a good night sleep. My room was the far from the resort dinning and activities. And the room was next to the local beach where there are vehicles with huge speakers just blasting music all night. Same playlist over and over again. This is no fault of the resort but I noticed empty rooms alway from the local beach. I’ve been to Jamaica 7 times and this was definitely a disappointment. Food - forget about it! Eat out or ensure that you book a reservation at the Seafood place or the oriental restaurant. Just make sure front desk actually books it for you. They missed my bookings twice! Definitely will never return to this property making me feel like a need a break from Jamaica.

Great food, lots of options, friendly staff. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Plenty of spots around property to relax. Right on the water. My room was on sunset side so I watched beautiful sunset from my patio. This is my 2nd stay here. Would recommend. I don’t like the Hip Strip area, too congested and dirty but just my preference. It is convenient though for shopping. Resort is close to airport

Great location

This property is very close to the airport like 5 min. It has a beautiful beach, beautiful swimming pools, and great aquatic sports. The installations are a little bit old with fans everywhere, the room is the only place with air conditioner. There are only 2 restaurants that has open schedule to go the snack bar in the afternoon and the buffet that it is more available, and 1 specialty restaurant that is always booked. Bottle water is very limited.

I enjoyed my stay at this resort. It’s a cute little resort that’s quiet and perfect for the occasion. It is conveniently less than 3 mins from the airport which I liked. The staff is pleasant and willing to help. I just wish they would invest in the upkeep of the resort. Some minor repairs and improvements and you’re sitting on a gold mine.

The reviews are pretty consistent, so we kinda knew what to expect. The pros: nice beach, all-inclusive, don't have to wait for the food to come out - which is a huge problem if you eat off-property. Cons: the food was truly terrible, which was a huge disappointment. The 'grill', which was there for in-between meals (like when we arrived) was just old, lukewarm, and bland burgers. Would have been nice to have some sort of local food, but if nothing else, maybe something hot. We made reservations for the fancier restaurant our first night, but were told there was only one available at 8.30p. We happened to be walking by around 6.45p, and there was no one there. We ended up coming around 7.30 to see if maybe we could get in earlier, and had no problem because there were only 2 tables with guests. So, yeah - I don't know what their booking strategy is. But even the food at the nicer restaurant was bland and uninspiring. The next morning we had the breakfast buffet, which was also meh. We were hoping again for local cuisine - like tasty fruit and maybe, anything not something you can get at a Holiday Inn, but no luck. So after 3 meals, we never ate there again. But the location isn't great, as there's nothing to walk to. We took a cab into town for $25 to the Hip Strip, which was supposed to be interesting, but had nothing worthy of a look. We had a wonderful time at this resort. The food was better than expected, I loved their Big Bamboo drink, and the beach / pool areas were clean & gorgeous to be at. We also enjoyed a massage while there and it was beyond relaxing. I highly recommend this resort, if you don’t mind things being slightly outdated (the rooms)! We had no issues with anything, but the noise levels from the entertainment on site in the evening could be deterring to some. The room was clean. The view from the balcony was unbeatable! The sunsets and sunrises from the balcony were perfect.

Need more food choices between Lunch and Dinner - Need more food HUTS with food like REAL JERK CHICKEN not what was served to me at that food hut. We found ourselves looking for food...and food options...

1. Hard to get drinks readily - very very small glasses. Zero ways to get water or soda without a bar abs small glasses.alcohol choices limited and cheap 2 I was asked to move while laying in beach chair and reading at 11am - so a man could sweep the sand. Ummm what? When I said I’m vacation he started to argue with me about keeping the beach clean - I said to sweep / take it at 5 before we come and that we PAY to be there. 3. Was never given clean towel and couldn’t reach the front desk by phone to request. I’m so very disappointed in this resort.

Location good, price good, food good. Their Jerk Pork and Chicken fabulous. The towels are stiff and can take the skin off your back. They do not use fabric softner. They do not hand out bar soap anymore,

Family friendly, staff friendly, beautiful beach. Great food.

Our stay here was fairly good. Beach was beautiful, had a swim up bar. Some of the staff were great and some were not. They would not give us more than 1 towel and 1 bottle of water for the duration of our stay despite having 3 people in our room and requests for more towels and water. The buffet ran out of food and they were not able to replenish. The hotel is deteriorating a bit since we came years ago. It is sad to see such a nice hotel in decline. During our previous stay several years ago we did not have any of these issues. I would probably recommend if you are looking for a cheap place for a night or two but not for a week long vacation.
