The staff were amazing and so helpful. The beds were super comfortable and they had the best pillows. They have a laundry service that was convenient and helpful. They validate for the local parking garages that were easy to get to. The day we checked out we took the train to Dublin and they stored our extra luggage until we returned.

Loved this hotel as well as Galway. Great bar and excellent staff. PARKING is NOT easy. Or cheap. Pay attention to the directions. Hotel was very cooperative helping us with parking. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel in a great spot for sightseeing. Just insulation is not the best when some party guests came back to their rooms at night it was super loud and also you could hear them in the morning with consequences of drinking. Hotel states it has a parking - it doesn’t. The Q park is super close but it’s not hotels parking so it is misleading.

Well-located right off Eyre Square in central Galway, the hotel provides all the necessaries - comfortable room and excellent staff at reception desk. However, rooms are small and there is no gym, if those are important factors in making a decision .

Nice place but the parking around the area for loading and unloading was problematic. The property itself was nice and a good stay. Centrally located and the discounted parking was a bonus. I would definitely recommend the hotel

The staff was great, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel was clean and in a historic building. It is located on a busy street, and the parking garage is a 5 minute walk away, so luggage handling is a little inconvenient.

Nicely comfortable hotel in an excellent location — right around the corner from the train station without being noisy, and very convenient to Galway’s sights, including the Aran Island ferry. The attached restaurant is reliably decent.

The drink glasses in the bathroom were dirty and smelled like alcohol and the floor was sticky. There was a beer can outside our window. We had an issue overnight with loud neighbors, they did come and ask them to keep it down but you can hear everything. I know it’s an older hotel but it’s something for people to keep in mind if they are hoping to sleep well. Service from the front desk staff and bar was wonderful. The food in the restaurant was good.

The room was not overly clean. There was nail clippings on the floor and stains on one of the pillows. When we came in that night we were stopped at the door by a bouncer which is completely reasonable however he made us stand for 10 minutes in the freezing cold and rain because he was unable to spell my name. After I spelt it for him multiple times and gave the room number, and showed my booking he still proceeded to question me!! I was freezing cold and tired and he thought this was very funny!!! On a nicer note the front desk staff were absolutely amazing! We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely, so we’re all the staff!

The hotel rooms are very dirty and run down. It was very musty in the hotel (prob from lack of AC), the showers are dirty and filled with mold, the sink was broken and cracked, the headboard was also ripped apart, the tv did not work, there was no mirror over the only plug in the hotel room… also no plugs in the bathroom. The housekeepers did not clean our rooms at all, pretty sure they didn’t even change the sheets but would just make the bed. Would never visit again and was very expensive for the quality of the room.

Unbearably warm room. Staff provided fan, but still a very uncomfortable sleep. The city Pods are also basement rooms with windows at ground level into the parking lot. Either have to shut with window and have no light or have window open and have zero privacy. Great location, friendly staff, awesome hotel bar… just avoid the City Pods

I managed to book last minute at this centrally located hotel. I was so thrilled. The room was a triple and appeared to be on the top floor as it had gabled windows. There was a table with comfy chairs and the room looked bright and roomy. Upon arrival we checked in to a completely different triple room. It was tiny and dated. Usually when you book a room you choose room type and see various photos. There was only one photo and I presumed this was the style of room I would be getting. Is this the fault of the hotel for not supplying photos of all of the different triple rooms they have or is it the fault of Expedia? I’m not sure. We were super disappointed. Hotel staff did their best and were able to put us in a more updated room that was a bit larger. But still not the room I expected when I booked. Included breakfast was excellent!

Great location! It was great to be 2 minutes from train station. Our quad room was large and well-appointed. Water was very hot, and bathroom was updated. The staff was excellent. Special shout out to Dylan and Rita: it was great to see their smiling faces for breakfast each morning. The pub was a nice place to spend downtime. The wifi was a bit wonky at times, but since we weren't there on a business trip, it didn't matter much.

We stayed at the Eyre Square Hotel for 3 nights while visiting Galway. The lobby, bar, restaurant are all beautiful and updated. Our room I don't think has been updated in many many years. However, it was fine for our trip and the location I'm sure is what drove the price we paid which came out to be about $260 each night. The location was fantastic as it was close (right next door) to the train station, nearby to pubs, restaurants and central Eyre Square all just steps away. Staff we came across were all very nice and very helpful. We were able to check in a little early but not much. Not a big deal, we dropped our bags off and headed to lunch and a nearby pub until our room was ready. Our room was on the top floor and it overlooked the train station. We did have a view of the water though looking past the station which I really liked. The fan in our room was broken but replaced within minutes of arriving. The room had two beds, one double and one twin bed which worked fine for us and was as we expected. I think for the price this would be a great room if the room had been renovated (carpet and beds replaced). Everything was clean but worn. There is a market across the street for a cheap coffee. We had breakfast in the hotel one morning and it was just okay.

Excellent location, right on the square/park in Galway - very walkable to tons of pubs and shopping. Rooms were clean and modern, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Only downside was that our room was on the 1st floor (reception on the ground floor was “level 0”), and with no A/C we needed to keep our window open. Both nights we were woken up by loud drunk people leaving the bars at 2:30am, then by what we assume were delivery trucks making a LOT of noise at 5am/6am. Otherwise it was a lovely stay - if you can request a room that’s *not* at the front of the hotel (on any floor), I would advise it!

Spent two nights here and loved it. The hotel was a short walk from either the train station or the bus station, so it's very convenient for travelers exploring the area. Hotel condition was great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were a nice size and had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. An added bonus is the small convenience store directly across the street! Would highly recommend.

the restaurant and bar area are very upscale, but the staff was snobbish. the food was very bland and we hardly saw our waitress. She wasn't cheerful either, she didn't crack a smile or spend two seconds talking to us.

The hotel staff (front desk, bar, and cleaning) were all very helpful and enjoyable to work with. The attached bar was a real find serving excellent food and of course drinks. The only thing to slightly complain about was the single rather slow lift. But nothing wrong with the stairs!

The staff were very kind and helpful. We arrived at 8 am after an overnight flight expecting to drop our bags off and check in at 3 pm, but the staff were able to find us a room right away. The hotel is in an ideal location, right in the heart of Galway. Everything is within walking distance and the train station is next door. You can't pick a better spot to stay!
The staff were very kind and helpful. We arrived at 8 am after an overnight flight expecting to drop our bags off and check in at 3 pm, but the staff were able to find us a room right away. The hotel is in an ideal location, right in the heart of Galway. Everything is within walking distance and the train station is next door. You can't pick a better spot to stay!

The room was not overly clean. There was nail clippings on the floor and stains on one of the pillows. When we came in that night we were stopped at the door by a bouncer which is completely reasonable however he made us stand for 10 minutes in the freezing cold and rain because he was unable to spell my name. After I spelt it for him multiple times and gave the room number, and showed my booking he still proceeded to question me!! I was freezing cold and tired and he thought this was very funny!!! On a nicer note the front desk staff were absolutely amazing! We ate in the restaurant and it was lovely, so we’re all the staff!

Well located near the centre. Walkable to restaurants and shops, just few steps to train and bus station, yet quiet. Sparkling clean rooms, comfy beds. Prompt attention to a request. Delicious breakfast in a lovely setting. Would highly recommend.

The bartender at the connected restaurant, Luke, was extremely kind and such a warm welcome into Galway. Hotel was clean and homey, exactly what we wanted and needed, perfect location in the heart of Galway.

Excellent location, we took the train from Dublin. The train station is less than 100 yards from the hotel. Very walkable location, we walked the sea wall/promenade to Salt Hill, Latin Quarter, Shop Street and Eyre Square. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean, bid. Two fans were in the room upon our arrival. Would absolutely stay again!!!

Excellent location, right on the square/park in Galway - very walkable to tons of pubs and shopping. Rooms were clean and modern, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Only downside was that our room was on the 1st floor (reception on the ground floor was “level 0”), and with no A/C we needed to keep our window open. Both nights we were woken up by loud drunk people leaving the bars at 2:30am, then by what we assume were delivery trucks making a LOT of noise at 5am/6am. Otherwise it was a lovely stay - if you can request a room that’s *not* at the front of the hotel (on any floor), I would advise it!

I didn’t rate the bar and restaurant very highly, the food was average and service could have been better. It was difficult to know whether there was table service or whether it was expected that meals be ordered at the bar. Overall not a very comfortable place for a solo traveller.

Lovely little hotel perfectly located next to the square. Room was clean, comfortable and being able to open the window was nice for some fresh air. Food in the bar was good, breakfast was perfect as well! Parking was at a public garage right around the corner when we left they validated the ticket for a discounted price at the garage upon leaving. Staff was very friendly accommodating. Would definitely stay next I'm in Galway.

Overall, the hotel was good for our purposes. The room was ok—a bit dated and small, especially the bathroom. The sink didn’t drain well and faucets were old, etc. The restaurant and bar aesthetically was my favorite part of the hotel. I’d stay again, but I’d look for a bigger room. Great location. Across the street from a market and great pub, with good food. Central location which made it very easy to get around.

Nicely comfortable hotel in an excellent location — right around the corner from the train station without being noisy, and very convenient to Galway’s sights, including the Aran Island ferry. The attached restaurant is reliably decent.

The staff were excellent and accommodating. We had to switch rooms due to an issue and the staff made the transfer as smooth as possible. This made a world of difference for our stay. I would highly recommend them. The location was perfect as well. We are traveling via train and it's is very walkable.

I would like to formally express my concern regarding our stay in Room 402. Unfortunately, the room was quite small and did not have air conditioning, which made the stay uncomfortable. In addition, the bathroom sink was flooded, further affecting the condition and usability of the room. We promptly requested a room change; however, we were only able to move to another room on our second night. While we appreciate that a room change was eventually provided, we had to spend our first night in conditions that did not meet the standard we reasonably expected. Given these circumstances, I believe it would be fair and appropriate to waive the charge for our first night as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of the inconvenience we experienced. I would appreciate it if you could review this matter and consider our request. We hope you will be able to resolve this fairly and maintain the positive impression we otherwise hoped to have of our stay. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Highly recommend this excellent hotel: great location, all amenities we needed and the best customer service I’ve experienced at any hotel in recent (and distant!) memory! Special shoutout to Georgia, Thomas and the entire front desk crew for continually going above and beyond. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Galway.

We stayed 2 nights and the fire alarm went off both days, including 6:14am the second day. Apparently, it was related to the heat. Also, the window shade was frayed, allowing a lot of light through. Other than these issues, the hotel was good. Convenient to restaurants, shops, tours, buses and trains. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
