The hotel has a modern look, and the beds were very comfortable. However, the pillows could be a bit firmer. Breakfast was extremely busy, I had to find and clean my own table, and there was a constant queue near the coffee machines. At one point, one of the two coffee machines stopped working. When I mentioned it to a staff member, she looked at the machine and rather abruptly said, “Nothing is wrong,” before walking away. I was taken aback, as the screen clearly showed an error message. One of the lifts was also out of order during my stay. I used the wellness facilities as well, which unfortunately were in very poor condition, the area was dirty, moldy, and the floor was slippery with green buildup. The steam room smelled strongly of mold, the jacuzzi was not working, and the shower area was dirty, with hair and a noticeable urine smell. I’m generally not fussy and rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was quite disappointing given the hotel’s otherwise modern appearance and comfortable rooms.

I think it needs to be clear that the hotel car parking is an additional fee each night of stay. The heating was broken on the first night so the room was freezing but quickly repaired the next morning

We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding that was close to the hotel: The staff welcomed us and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay with anything we needed - nothing was a problem. The hotel was spotless even though it was under re-development and that didn’t cause us any issues. The breakfast that was included which was very nice- fresh and plenty of varied food options. We would not hesitate, if we passed that way, to stay again.

I liked food and bar after 9.00 pm. Waiting staff at breakfast were excellent. I was put in a disabled room, when I am not disabled. The room was not cleaned after returning from day out, but was given clean towels and cups at reception. When asked if we should have a discount the answer was NO.

Spotlessly clean room, comfy bed, hot shower and room heating at a nice level. Breakfast buffet was hot, cooked well, plenty of choice and refilled when needed. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Only a few minutes away by car from the National Adventure Farm Park. Highly recommended.

Everything about the stay was fine. Staff really friendly and breakfast was great. Also hotel was quiet. Only negatives I would say is that the room was really warm and the aircon didn't seem to work very well despite it being really loud even when "turned off". Also I'm not sure why they don't just wrap in cost of parking (only £5 per night) into the cost of the room as I would have thought most people drive here.

Room was tidy and well appointed. Comfy bed. Hotel was way overpriced for the quality of the hotel. This seems to be a 24/7 hotel so i had people talking loudly and laughing in the corridor on my floor at 3am.

Great service. Rooms on the small side for families but clean and has everything you need. Fab breakfast. £5 charge for parking which I felt was unnecessary really as the car park was quiet and hotel was in an industrial area not a busy town centre.

Noise was the problem here. Having in the end to move 3 times to different rooms due to faulty equipment making noise and no heating in one room. Not much fun moving rooms at 2am in the morning though. All we received was an apology. Would I stay again. No I would not

The room was excellent, though it's a bit small. Toiletries, towel big & thick, iron, kettle & coffee/tea available in room. No refrigerator nor microwave. They have lift. Excellent. Parking is £5 per night. Room price is cheap. Might stay here again.

There was some building works going on but no noise disturbances thank you! The staff were great and helpful. Room was very clean. Main bed was good but the pull out bed wasn’t very comfortable unfortunately. Breakfast the next day was delicious thank you

I was work up by fast flowing water. I thought it was the room above having a shower. It carried on for 2 hours. It just kept on and on. I Eventually had to call the front desk. I was offered ear plugs. I said no, so I asked for a different room. It was 2am I moved rooms. I had to get up at 6am to attend an event. I had just 4 hours sleep. I checked my blood pressure the incident and uncertainty of what was happening raised my blood pressure.

The day before my check in,I realised that check in was from 2pm.I messaged the hotel directly about the possibility of an earlier check in as I needed to get to the football stadium for the 3pm kick off.I received good replies about a possible earlier check in from Glenda which was helpful.So upon check in I was informed by Bill that I’m early and the only way I could check in early was to become a member,I wasn’t informed of any extra costs with this,so not knowing this I agreed to sign up.After signing up I was informed it would be an extra £87.90.As I felt pressured I paid this,so in total I paid £187.90 for one nights stay.If I had been informed before check in I would have made other arrangements so I’m not impressed atall,because of this I will not be using Holiday Inn again.I felt pressured on check in and it ruined my experience.It was a real shame because the rooms are nice and the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed here for a night on the way to lake District. Very clean and easy to get to. Lots of other stores around it if you need petrol or a quick shopping trip. Breakfast was inclusive and good, though menu was limited.

I stayed here after a procedure at the hospital as I didn’t want to drive back to our home. It’s not far from the hospital and was a comfortable place to stay with breakfast included and a very reasonable cost. We were allocated a disabled room when we aren’t disabled and this meant no proper shower as the bathroom was a wet room. Other than that no complaints and happy with the value for money.

This was a stopover while travelling. The hotel was easy to find, the car park was large although shared with another hotel, whilst two electric car charging bays are marked there no facilities yet and it seemed reasonably secure. The hotel was clean, bright and cheery with all the basic facilities needed, bar, restaurant and lift to a small but well equipped bedroom All in all, a moist acceptable night, thank you.

It was a good stay. My only issue was the there is no room service. By the time we go down to bring the food . It is already cold. Even if the food was covered it would keep it warm. Secondly room service menu was so limited.
