After I made the reservation I received the confirmation that included notification that the pool, hot tub and many of the rooms are in the midst of renovation. It's way over- due. After a friendly check-in, we exited the rickety elevator (on one ride I had to fully open the door manually before it would close and begin the trip) into a dimly lit hallway that appeared to suffer from the same frost heaving as the driveway. Many of the hanging ceiling tiles were missing, the carpet old and stained and sporting mismatched patches. At the room, the door was open, not surprising as it fit poorly in the frame and wouldn't self-close. Turning on the vanity light at the entrance, the large, taped crack through the center of the mirror is hard to miss. There is no closet, only an inset area with a bar but no hangers. The sofa is threadbare, stuffing showing with a 5x8 patched attached with what appeared to be drywall screws on one arm. The bathroom (toilet and shower) is recently renovated, arguably the nicest part of the room. The room is large and would be nice if not for the poor maintenance. The desk lamp is an accident-in-waiting: plugged in, switch on, no bulb in the socket. The AC comes with useless instruction as the wall unit in DOA. The windows open if one figures out the trick before jamming one half way. The window unit maybe new; there's unfinished plywood on two sides. Looking back at the entry door, there are several screws holding it together near the lockset. RAN OUT

A $29 "Resort Fee" was added upon check in. Not sure what it was for. It was a Very annoying added fee.

HVAC was not working well; the room didn't get down below 78 degrees. TV didn't have a program menu. All else was fine.

The hotel is in renovation so a little dusty/grubby along the hall to the room, inside it was acceptable and just about right for what we needed, pricey though for when in renovation. No swimming pool due to renovation also, we were not disappointed though as we wouldn’t have used it.
