Sleep Inn & Suites Niantic North

I loved the fact that they had a free EV charger for us to use. In that part of CT those chargers are hard to find and most hotels don't have them.

The breakfast has very limited choices. The elliptical and stationery bike in the fitness center don't work. The elevator was out when we left.

We had to change rooms 3 times. The first room the toilet didn’t work. The second room the AC didn’t work. Took 3 rooms to find one that functioned. In the third room the hairdryer didn’t work but no way I was packing everything and moving to a fourth room. Anytime I attempted to use the ice machine I had to wait 20 minutes for it to make ice. The pool says it’s heated but I didn’t go in because it was cold!

Pool and fitness room were closed....we were never notified of this. I even looked at the website, and it wasn't listed on there either. Sad. We had volleyball players that wanted to swim.

In addition to cleanliness, quiet, and comfort, there is a heated indoor pool. This was well maintained.

I stay here because it’s clean and safe. Front desk is always at your service. It also has a EV charging station.

While the price was affordable, the property was run down. Clean but dated, rooms smelled musty. Pool was small and cold (swimmable for short period of time on a really hot day and no towels after asking for them). There were three guys constantly at the back door smoking marijuana and smelled up the first floor. Initial staff check in was nice but when asked in advance of going to the pool if there were towels, he said he'd bring some. Only 1 towel there and had to send the kid to get more when we were done in the cold pool. Room was cramped and beds hard/pillows flat. I was not looking for 5 star but this was only passable. Can't speak to the breakfast, we went out with friends to eat elsewhere. Would not stay again.

This was an excellent place to stay after a concert at the casino. The staff is friendly, the entire hotel is extremely clean and there’s a hot breakfast!

Checked in into a dirty room was not offered to move to a different room my wife and daughter had to ask for clean sheets

While I was initially happy with this stay, that lasted until we had spent about 3 hours in the room. I’m not usually one to complain with budget hotels since you get what you pay for, but this one disappointed. Here are a few of the things that made the stay unpleasant. 1. The toilet couldn’t flush. You could hold down the bobber thingy or flush multiple times (just for a number 1) and it still wouldn’t go. This issue was brought up to the front desk twice and was not repaired or resolved either time. 2. The liner on the glass for for the shower came off and soaked the floor 3. There was mold around the AC unit 4. When I went to the front desk to ask for extra towels, the woman at the desk forgot what she was getting me twice while I was standing there 5. I had to give a statement about another guest being injured while trying to use the ladder in the pool since it was broken. They did put a piece of caution tape on it the next day though. 6. This one is very nit picky I’ll admit but you cannot move on the beds or they will squeak like you are engaging in “fun partner time” to the point that we had to buy earplugs.

Hotel is very clean, bed very comfortable and front desk helpful.

Upon arrival, we were checked in, the gentleman at the front desk, announced our room number as a gentleman was walking in behind us. If you’re going to promote “safety tips” on what to look for human trafficking as it sates on your poster, please make sure the guest room number is not announced especially for young woman’s that are by themselves like I was with my daughter. It made us feel unsafe! We were also checked in into a dirty room, that appeared to be switched from another guest and the room seemed to be marked clean, it was the impression we were getting from the lady at the front desk as she had asked if were able to switched to another room. I was confused; I proceeded to let her know the room was given to us dirty and if she could please have it clean. They did a good job afterward.There was visible trash everywhere between each side of the beds and between the night stand. Hair on the pillows and bathroom. The bed sheets were dirty and appeared to be pulled and not replaced. I called the front desk, was asked to go downstairs and get sheets, was not offered to be switched to another room. I mentioned it to the Manager the next morning, he apologized, but still didn’t offer to at least have the room clean or moved. I had to request for it to be clean. The following morning the hotel had no A/C the manager said he will turn on, not sure why it was off being that it was hot outside.You’re not saving money it takes more energy turning it on. Overall it was fine.

Okay if you need to stop and stay for one night. The staff was helpful and professional. Overall the main areas were clean including the pool area. The rooms looked recently painted, the sheets and towels were clean. I would not recommend staying on the first floor. Our room was halfway underground, so our air condition unit was next to a high "basement" style window. When opening the curtain, we saw a patch of grass and the fence. There was smell in the room. Mold on the bathroom door frame and mold around the window frame.

Shower had hair on the wall wasn’t cleaned. Strong odor of cigarettes and marijuana in the hallway when I was told it’s a non smoking hotel.

The heater was loud, the room was small, no microwave!

The room os exactly as pictured. Its not a large room but worked fine for our needs. Some things could use some updating ( toilet seat was old and peeling, shower a bit strange but water pressure was decent) also,there was no full length mirror in room . Also no mattress protecter or pillow protectors, just a mattress topper and pillow cases ( to deter bed bugs, and other bodily fluids) The soap, lotion and shampoo all smelled wonderful! Overall a decent place, some updates would make it better.

We stayed at this hotel 2024 same time period first week of August. This year 2025 Disappointed in room size, we booked same standard double beds room as last year. We had an adjoining room on the first floor which was very cramped compared to our 3rd floor room last year. Carpet was quite dirty, mattress comfort not as good as last year.

This place is clean and quiet but for a hotel that basis it's reputation for cozy nights sleep this place has terrible uncomfortable beds.

I chose this hotel because it was a little less expensive than the Hilton options in Groton Connecticut. There were some inexpensive motels in Groton, but I wasn't looking for the slums. This isn't an inexpensive place, by any means and cost me just under $250 with taxes. When I walked into the room the appearance was fairly clean aside from some lint left over from linens, I'd imagine. However the TV appeared to be from the early 2000s with a 3 to 4-in frame surrounding the 32-in screen. It's one night, so no big deal I guess. Then I'd rather remote and go to turn it on... In realize after hitting the button multiple times there's a delay in response. Just turned out to be true for power, volume, back, select, etc. however, the worst part was the significant water stains above the bed. It doesn't give the feeling of clean seeing that all night every time you wake up. The mattress was also really hard. I like a medium firm mattress but I'm really not that picky, however this was excessively firm. Certainly better than laying on the floor, but not by as much as you'd hope. There is a switch outside the shower door with a note that states if the light should go out to reset the GFI on the outlet by the sink. But the worst part, was how absolutely terribly thin the walls are. We could hear everything from the adjacent room, and slept terribly as a result. Didn't even sounf like they were being that loud, but we could hear them talking kept hearing thumps on the wall.

Very comfortable beds! The breakfast waffles and muffins taste very artificial and have a gummy texture. It would be good to add milk or real cream to the cooler, so the artificial coffee creamer can be avoided. Thanks for the yogurt. Add more tea flavors. The walls allow sounds from room to room, which is distracting. The location is good and the room was decorated well, although not large. It had an iron, ironing board, toiletries and small refrigerator and coffee/ tea maker.

Beautiful property and overall a great stay. The only downside was that the TV in our room wasn’t working, and unlike the second room we booked, ours didn’t have a refrigerator.

It was a good spot--we were close enough to spend a few quiet mornings at the beaches of Niantic and also take days trips to Mystic. The toilet in our hotel room was not working--the staff tried to fix it. They were not able to so they upgraded us to a suite. It was very kind of them and we appreciated that very much.

Great staff. The front desk man quickly changed our room when my husband noted it would benoisy, being by the elevator and ice machine. He's a light sleeper, especially bothered by noise. The breakfast room attendent was the most attentive I've ever seen. Kept the eggs and sausages coming, piping hot, and wiped down the tables immediately.

The front clerk was super rude, had no manners or customer service skills.

Everything seemed smooth until we got to our room and it reeked of pot. Immediately my female friend jumped in the shower as we were pressed for time. It was her birthday and we had dinner reservations. While she showered I went down to the desk and explained the situation and asked to either be moved or given a price reduction. The person at the front desk was very unhappy with me. He expressed that we should not have showered in the room before complaining about the smell. He gave us another room and we quickly moved after she finished showering. The second room was fine. I was clean and comfortable. This hotel is in a great location. We were able to Uber quickly to our destination. Did not eat the breakfast but had coffee. Coffee was good and the breakfast looked good too.

Hotel staff friendly and professional

I had a terrible experience ay this property. It started off well as I was greeted by the most sweetest, welcoming, professional receptionist. She was amazing. It quickly went downhill as I left the front desk. I was given 3 different rooms. The first one had no heat. In the second room the toilet did not work, it wouldn't flush. Upon going down to the front desk several times with all of our luggages, the night receptionist was hesitant to give me an acceptable room. He insisted that I stay in the second room and go use the restroom in the first room way down the hall when I needed to. I politely told him that I was not goldilocks wanting to try out every bed but just wanted a warm place to sleep for the night. After trying to convince him that I needed a working room, he recluctantly gave me another room as other guest where coming in and overhearing our conversation. I will never stay at this hotel again! My kids enjoyed the pool although there were no towels and they had to go back to the room dripping wet.

Room was fine clean and stocked- however the service of the front desk night shift. Something was going on with couples/other stayers from 2-4am I tried calling the front desk 3 times and no one picked up- because of the situation we didn’t want to leave the room to go down for safety but the male who we passed when we came back was just on his phone. Another stayer female tried to chime in to tell the issue couple/drunk male but he was very disrespectful back which one the big reason I tried to call front desk too. But no one answered: between that for hours, slamming, yelling and then knocking on our door too. I told the front desk in the morning and they took down the times I called and said they would talk to their boss. We will see about what comes back. Bad service on the night shift front desk if something bad was actually going on that cops were needed

Love the suite, breakfast and pool. Wow beautiful hotel clean comfortable bed quiet room. The girl Mary at the front desk went above and beyond never been treated so nice and with respect. My husband and i feel so welcome she was awesome. The breakfast was delicious and the environment was so good. Mary explain everything she is very helpful and professional. I got the suite 208 and i was so happy spacious clean beautiful and has everything that we need it. We sleep like a baby amazing experience i will definitely stay there again everytime we travel around that area. The Gym area was very nice also. I just loveeeeee it. Mary did a great job we feel home and welcome thank you

I believe the review is a bit unfair due to the hotel’s location in the middle of a large construction project, but I wanted to submit a review that is current. Otherwise, you can’t beat its location that is just a few seconds from the interstate. The Niantic seaside area is about 10 minutes away and is a worthy dining option.

Traveling late to Cape Cod I needed a hotel close to 95...and this is the best place...literally hundreds of feet from the ramp to 95 to CC....a Starbucks in front of the hotel.....nice clean rooms....great staff....when I head to CC from Virginia.....and don't feel like driving 12 hours....this is the place....

We went to visit family, and this was convenient. Also, we liked the quiet area. Although we were just above an I-95 ramp, the property seemed peaceful. The beds were comfortable, and the room was nice.

I stayed at the hotel two nights. The first night was with a friend. We shared the room with our kids. You forget how small double beds are. The only options they have are doubles or King. Which were kind of hard. Breakfast was awful. The only really edible was the waffles. The first morning - the eggs were being replaced and when they came out, I wouldn’t let the kids eat them out of caution for food poisoning. They were 1. Not scrambled 2. They looked fake and possible undercooked. They looked porous which made me think they were undercooked. The sausage was burnt and then the next batch was undercooked and still cold. When I told the worker he turned the griddle up and to me “ you can use the microwave “ 😳. Juice was watered down and not juice. The second day was just as bad, waffle only. We travel a lot and this would not be a place I choose to stay at again. My room toilet wouldn’t flush then it flushed too long , and then it didn’t flush again the next day. Minimal outlets

Road layout make this property a little hard to find. Once there it fine. Clerk was helpful making a slight change to my reservation. The breakfast was just OK. Nothing special. Worst was the sausage patties were cold and ... dare I say ... rather disgusting. There was a microwave available.The rest of the stay / experience was alright.

The continental breakfast was pretty sad. Just a waffle maker and some muffins, which ran out quickly. Luckily, there's a Starbucks 30 second away.

The inn itself was great, clean , quiet , friendly, the breakfast was a little to be desired. Plenty to selection, the eggs were ABSOLUTELY INEDIBLE!!!! I saw the gentleman come out and squeeze the out of a bag! YUK!!!! Everything else was ok, and coffee pretty good

Quick check-in, good stay but we did not care for breakfast. Limited choices, waffle machine wasn’t working properly and there was only one machine. The coffee machine provided lukewarm coffee.

Property and staff was ok but breakfast was well below the par. Coffee,muffins, with few other things shouldn’t be called breakfast included.

Rooms are decent for the price you pay. Breakfast was not enjoyable. Eggs seemed fake, maybe powdered eggs?
