While this building is clean and modern, beware that the elevator goes only to the 3rd floor - so if you're room is on the 4th floor, you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. Our room was VERY VERY small, even by european standards. The (king sized) bed was also basically on the ground. There was not enough space in the room for my husband and I to have our small (carry on sized) suitcases opened at the same time. Also the opening to the shower is very narrow! The Japanese toilet was a nice perk. Kerns is a very small town, and to get there you need to take a city bus from Sarnen (short ride). The hotel has a restaurant and there are a few other restaurants in town, but it is a mostly residential town. I would not stay at this hotel again - but it is clean, safe and modern. Check in was fully automated and you can unlock your door with your smartphone - however it is difficult to reach staff if there is an issue.

Berg & Berg Hotel was an outstanding hotel, excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff, easy parking, high standard & quality, brand new property. On arrival we found out we’re their very first guests and it was opening day. We were treated like celebrities and invited to join in the night’s celebrations, a nice evening. Very pleasant and professional owners. Greeted us next morning, thanked us for our stay and choosing their hotel and made sure everything was okay with our stay.

Todo muy bien , hasta Restaurant tenía , y eso es muy bueno por que los lugares de comida cierra. Temprano en ese pueblo , así que la comida del hotel ayuda mucho , buen desayuno lo único que me gustaría es que tengan minisplit , aunque teníamos abanicos , teníamos que dejar ventanas abiertas para que entre el fresco que la verdad si está fresco , fui en agosto y estaba agradable el clima

Själv incheckning som funkade ok, men krångligare än andra självincheckning vi använt. Kunde ej checka in ena rummet men fick snabb och bra hjälp via telefon. Annars rent, fint, härlig utsikt från balkongen och begränsat antal p-platser vid hotellet

Unterkunft nur bis zur 3. Etage Barrierefrei! Hatte leider ein Zimmer in der 4. Etage unterm Dach. Es wurde ein Duftspray, bzw. Duftstäbchen verwendet, was für Allergiker höchst kritisch ist. Lüften war zwar möglich, hat aber nichts gebracht. Leider nicht empfehlenswert.

Enige punt (per persoon afhankelijk) is het gebrek aan een airco. Was nu best warm en de ventilator was niet heel fijn om te gebruiken ivm de windsnelheid

Very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and amenities were awesome. Had trouble finding parking especially since we reached at 12:30 in the night. As most European hotels there was no AC and it was very hot in the room even though we had fans. I don’t think the self check-in was very efficient when it came to getting answers to some imminent questions like parking, AC, possibility of a late checkout.

Die Unterkunft ist an sich sehr schön und modern. Leider hatten wir vorab keine Checkin Information erhalten. Diese haben wir dann selbst am Tag der Anreise angefragt. Nach einigen kleinen Hindernissen haben wir es aber mit telefonischen Kontakt geschafft. Die Uhrzeit vom Checkin war dann aber noch mit Wartezeit verbunden. Bis das Zimmer bezugsbereit war. Das Zimmer war dann aber sehr schön, modern und auch vom Außengeräusch in Ordnung (Straßenseite mit Kirche daneben). Mir haben etwas die örtlichen Informationen gefehlt, wie z.B. die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Dazu war der Spieleraum leider teilweise ohne Funktion, was natürlich die Kinder sehr traurig gemacht hat. Die Reinigung zwischen den Aufenthalt wäre auch etwas umfangreicher gewünscht gewesen, war aber akzeptabel. Dazu hätte ich mich gefreut, wenn ich auf die angegebenen Punkte eine Rückinfo erhalten hätte

Zimmer war sehr schön, geräumig und sauber. Die Strasse ist ziemlich stark befahren was das Schlafen mit offenem Fenster nicht so fördert. Die Betten sind ziemlich hart.

Somehow I accidentally booked a room on their very first night open, which was a bit of a surprise to me upon arrival but I wasn't mad about it. The front dest staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was nice and clean although the bed was a bit lumpy and there was no soap in the dispensers in the shower. I would stay here again.

Our particular room was on top of the building which is ok, but hotel lights on the roof were coming into our room so it was difficult to sleep with so much light. The curtains are not blackout and there are no blinds on the windows. The church bells ring last at 10pm and then again from 6am - maybe the lights can be kept off for this time as well.

Sehr schickes, neues Hotel. Geräumiges Zimmer mit allem was man erwartet. Das einzige was nicht funktioniert hat, was sehr schade war, war das Wlan. Ist scheinbar noch nicht richtig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war nach dem Eindruck des Hotels auch etwas enttäuschend. Sehr kleine Auswahl, aber alles da was man braucht.

The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The person at the front desk spoke English, which was a big plus My room was very quiet. Couldn't hear the Church bells ringing across the street About 1.5 hours to drive to Lauterbrunnen from there, but the price was just right for us, so we didn't mind the drive I would stay there again.

Berg & Berg Hotel was an outstanding hotel, excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff, easy parking, high standard & quality, brand new property. On arrival we found out we’re their very first guests and it was opening day. We were treated like celebrities and invited to join in the night’s celebrations, a nice evening. Very pleasant and professional owners. Greeted us next morning, thanked us for our stay and choosing their hotel and made sure everything was okay with our stay.

Very modern and clean. Beds were comfortable and amenities were awesome. Had trouble finding parking especially since we reached at 12:30 in the night. As most European hotels there was no AC and it was very hot in the room even though we had fans. I don’t think the self check-in was very efficient when it came to getting answers to some imminent questions like parking, AC, possibility of a late checkout.

Hotel neuf, moderne avec de belles prestations. Petit déjeuner riche et de bonne qualité. Par contre, le personnel est réduit au minimum, donc quand vous avez une question, ou vous auriez souhaité changer qqe chose apres votre arrivé c est compliqué, voir impossible. Donc il faudra laisser plus d instructions ( bi-lingue de préf) pour baisser le chauffage, bien utiliser la toilette électronique ( fantastique par ailleurs). On ne sait pas non plus où sont les parkings de l’hotel. Toutefois, bien compris tout cela, l’hotel donne bcp de satisfaction au point de vue confort et propreté

Todo muy bien , hasta Restaurant tenía , y eso es muy bueno por que los lugares de comida cierra. Temprano en ese pueblo , así que la comida del hotel ayuda mucho , buen desayuno lo único que me gustaría es que tengan minisplit , aunque teníamos abanicos , teníamos que dejar ventanas abiertas para que entre el fresco que la verdad si está fresco , fui en agosto y estaba agradable el clima

Sehr schickes, neues Hotel. Geräumiges Zimmer mit allem was man erwartet. Das einzige was nicht funktioniert hat, was sehr schade war, war das Wlan. Ist scheinbar noch nicht richtig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war nach dem Eindruck des Hotels auch etwas enttäuschend. Sehr kleine Auswahl, aber alles da was man braucht.

Séjour super agréable dans ce très bel hôtel. La chambre au top, literie très confortable, plein de petites attentions à disposition. Le restaurant au pied de l'hôtel est très bon. Kerns est un petit village très sympa, bien situé, vraiment nous avons adoré cet endroit

It was such a beautiful room and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much so that we will definitely come back and stay a little longer. Everything was super clean. Amenities were well thought out, modern and techie which I loved. I sadly dropped the review from 5 stars (which it really deserves), down to 4 due to a couple of tiny issues. We couldn’t get the flame / lighting feature to work in the main bedroom. In the room, the box of free arcade tokens was completely empty. We didn’t have any local currency (coin only) so we couldn’t use it at all. The kitchen area would benefit from a wine bottle opener. Otherwise everything else was faultless.
