The staff was very nice and the room itself was clean. But, the elevator looked like a perfect place to get murdered, the hallways were dirty, and the stair wells/light fixtures in the halls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in literal YEARS.

Housekeeping is only on a weekly basis, but they have an envelope to tip housekeeping. No cups or glasses available. breakfast is minimal, coffee, packaged muffins or granola bars or oatmeal. Very basic. During the winter, parking lot is full of black ice, and while there are signs staying may be slippery, there are dangerous patches of ice that need to addressed. For the cost, not worth a short stay.

No ice machine. The bed was not a queen size. Disappointed.

First ever to be at a hotel with no ice machine and no in room coffee maker I traveled with work over 12 years.

We stayed at this location a few years back and it was very nice. We liked that it was near a shopping area with places to eat as well. But this recent trip was disappointing because they have let the building go. The common areas and rooms are very dated. You had to request kitchen items and they were not readily available. There was no ice machine or other helpful amenities for travelers. It was fine for the price but not what we expected.

Worse hotel i have stayed in. Run down no vending machines no breakfast served next day whole first and second floor smelled like weed room stuffy and smelled could only open window 2 inches no more.

I was trapped in the elevator for 20 minutes. The staff was rude and inconsiderate. The description of breakfast included should be removed. There was dried ketchup or something on the wall.

Most of the week, the elevator had issues, with people getting stuck in the elevator several times. Which I understand things happen.

Easy to get in and out. Overall seemed clean. Elevator was trashed and needed to be refurbished. Room was clean but carpet was trashed and kitchenette looked old and worn. Dark green accent paint on walls definitely looked dark and depressing. Need to lighten that up.

The elevator was broken/unserviceable for 2 days during our stay, so we had to use the stairs & carry our luggage up to our room on the second floor which was a slight inconvenience The cable in our room did brocade local Chicago Cubs baseball games during our stay, which would have also been nice to watch especially since the hotel is so close to Chicago.

The staff was excellent and very accommodating. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room and establishment. There was a distinct smell throughout and I had to clean my room after housekeeping had done so.

Incredibly outdated inside. Rug was dirty. Trash all around outside the property. Food left in the refrigerator from the previous guest. Bathroom floor corners and caulking in front of bathroom filthy. Mattress needs to be replaced. The best thing about the room was the shower. Good water pressure with plenty of hot water.

Classic case of an outdated hotel asking for modern prices. Dirty toilets , missing doors on cabinets and rigged up outlet fixtures. The list can go on and I wish I can post the pictures i took!!!!!!!

My toilet did not work, I consulted a handyman there. He suggested I jiggle the handle to activate the ages old system. To which he followed with- ‘I hope it works out for you because I will not be here over the weekend so,’. I have no qualms against this man particularly. He was kind and informative and every worker deserves a break. My issue is with the fact that they have no back up handyman to help guests when the main one is gone. My toilet never did flush. I had to take off the lid to manually enable the flushing mechanism. The room was dated and reeked of smoke. There were no toiletries available besides a bar of soap. No amenities offered either. My lights were mostly out in my room. I opened the cabinets to find no cooking utensils nor cutlery. Pillows were flat. Sheets were itchy. Breakfast was merely a small muffin and a granola bar. My bathroom door’s hinges were held together by an old, bent up screw driver, with the tip pointing outwards. God forbid, you slip in the bathroom, fall and accidentally lobotomized yourself on the way down. Or at the very least lose an eye. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Absolutely unacceptable and a clear disregard for the guests safety. When I arrived at 2:47 they told me I could not even check in until three P.M. because they weren’t sure which rooms were clean yet. On Saturday night, the parking lot was filled with law enforcement. Apparently a domestic violence incident occurred. Lastly, the fridge was leaking on the floor

The room smelled like a wet dog, the carpet was filthy and moist, the bed was hard and the breakfast consistent of oatmeal packs, bars, mini muffins and coffee. They discounted the room by 50% cause they couldn't move us due to them being full because of an event. I would never stay there again!

Well from the moment you walk in it was filthy . Elevators were dirty and foul smell. Room also was dirty ! Do not walk barefoot

This was a great location near Chicago Midway. I arrived after midnight but they were able to accommodate my check in. Parking lot was well lit and felt safe enough. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel is in need of renovation but it’s kept clean and provided a comfortable night’s rest.

It was fine but the hotel staff tried to get into our room at 7:30 am to clean it without knowing we were there. The place was clean but it needs to get updated.

Room was nice overall. A bit dated but it was a nice sized room with a kitchenette. Something to keep in mind for another trip.

Adequate stay, moderate price. Bare minimum accommodation with a kitchenette.

This hotel needs a facelift. Looks like it’s stuck in the 90s. Definitely smells like people smoke in the rooms. It was affordable at 2 am on a Friday. Staff is great!

They did not have the room although i had a booking. The person at the desk was rude and unhelpful. At 2am in the night i had to leave the property work an 80 year old senior citizen and look for another hotel to stay. Pathetic behavior i will never forget. Had to shell out almost twice as much pretty night for a last minute booking on another property thanks to this awful experience with extended stay America and expedia. Never again

Staff was great. Cleaning people were very nice and the lady who checked me and my son in was super sweet.

I came around 10pm, beyond tired, and the front desk said they could not find my reservation. I had to spend over an hour on the phone until it was straighten out.

Staff rude, surly, generally reluctant to help, and apparently lazy. There is ONE luggage cart only, and staff blatantly refused to help locate it. This is just a totally disappointing group of staff members, except for one who found me a fork. No coffee in the rooms. I won’t ever choose this chain again.

I paid for a 2 night stay although I only stayed one night. My plane arrived late so I ended up checking in early Saturday morning. The problem lies with the unavailability of my paid room. I had to wait because the room I paid for was given to someone else. The receptionist seemed bothered because of my late check in and lacked customer service.

While the place is getting older and has a lot of older amenities like a stovetop, full-sized refrigerator with freezer, and even a kitchen sink, it's still a great place to stay for both short- and long-term. Easy access to rooms on all sides of the building. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind which really added a special touch to the stay. This is my preferred place to stay when I'm visiting family.

The location was ideal! Everything we wanted to do was 4 minutes driving distance. The hotel room was clean and roomy. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Don’t get fulled by breakfast you will get granola bars, packaged muffin, bad coffee and one tea bag to choose from in front of the reception desk not even a sitting area This place is out of 1940’s Unit had a kitchenette with the 40’s stove top, laminate counter with pot marks left from previous usages, open gaps to the wall, old sink and drain, cabinetry the same and this goes the same for the bathroom, toilet was disgusting , the shower curtain was not clean and the floor was laminate flooring and not tiled and again gap between the tub and the floor I hit myself for not taking pictures to prove my statement above. Will never check in this titled hotel again and will not recommend it to any one. In the lobby the wall sconces are held together with a string For the price they are charging they should be forced to renovate the whole building

Its not bad for rhe price. The breakfast is a bit of a haha you got me. But it overall works and feels clean and safe.

This wasn once a thriving place to stay, however the breakfast is now referred to as "grab and go" and the towels are rough. When existing doors at end of hall, there were always a groupnof smokers. Not our favorite place to stay.

Desk staff indifferent. Breakfast is a Nutrigrain bar and a muffin. Extended stay, but you had to ask for plates and even glasses. Charges $1 for calls ... wow ... even if they don't connect. Seems like taking advantage of somebody without a cell phone. On the plus side, the room was very clean, although shelves and other were things falling off walls.

Pretty basic. No breakfast other than coffee and oatmeal.
