Americas Best Value Inn Pilot Mountain

Room was filthy. Room smelled moldy and sewer smell. Curtain torn off. Couldn’t close window off to outside. Holes in walls. Paint missing. Furniture damaged and stained. Shower was not cleaned. Black debris in tub. Bugs were in room. Had to slam into door to get it to open or close. Awful place. Exterior is falling apart. Garbage laying around. Worst place I have ever stayed.

It was safe, did not use the pool, was too cold

The pool wasn’t open and the door wouldn’t shut properly leaky sink to many cats around the property

Photos on website do not match current conditions. Carpet in room was damp from AC unit. Trash under stairs. Mobile mechanic working on vehicle in parking lot. Left parts laying in parking spot when finished.

Couldn’t adjust. Air conditioner very dirty. Bed light went on and off. Dim to bright. Beetles on the ceiling Plus my reservation didn’t go through. Says I was booked and gave me updates but hotel didn’t show a reservation for me. Ended up sharing a room with other family member.

Did not feel safe while I was there. The locks were loose and there was a gap around the door. Paint was peeling off several places in the room even though the website said recently renovated. Paint was peeling off the stairs to the second floor. Bathtub was very old and therefore looked dirty due to age. Couldn't understand the man at the front desk that checked me English was definitely not his first language. Heating unit in the room was old and took forever to heat the room and was extremely noisy and kept me up

Needs a lot of work, stairs not in good shape.

Easy to park the room was clean easy check in and check out property is a little old but there seem like they're fixing it up otherwise excellent location restaurants and stores are close

The property looked like a flea market outside some of the rooms near the doors. The rooms curtains were coming loose at the top. So, we were forced to use the ironing voard and our chip clips to keep curtains closed that night. The hot water was minimal being hot. The toilet at the base leaked some. It was very noisy from other guests. The bed and furniture was older and uncomfortable. Rm 104 2nd time staying after asked to come back for another try. It won't happen again! This Econo Lodge is a Choice Hotel obviously by payment by the owners of this franchise. Pitiful excuse to call a Choice Hotel.

Room was dirty, door was broken and hardley securable, bathroom was dirty and needed a complete rebuild, bath/shower was lose and broken, floor was dirty, Check in staff failed to inform about a breakfast. Had people living at the hotel and their property was strewn all over. Pool was nice, bit we we forced to leave at 8pm.

A girl was arrested with 5lbs of fentanyl at the hotel. Rooms are outdated and smell. Highly recommend going somewhere else

The windows are filthy. There was a Lot of dust. Building needs updating Shower knobs rusty No drain stopper in sink

We stayed here about a month ago while in town for business and the room we had was very nice, so we decided to book again while back this month. This room we’ve gotten is in horrible shape, and we won’t be back next month when we travel back to NC. The bathroom is absolutely falling to pieces; the ac/fan does not work. There’s staining all over the walls, quite literally finger prints on the bathroom walls. Staining on bedding. If it wasn’t for the fact we got here after 10pm and had a baby with us, we wouldn’t have stayed in room 107 at all!

The condition of this hotel was very poor...the bathroom drain and tub drain were both clogged and the shower didn't work. The staff were nice though and the breakfast room was clean.

Housekeeping only came by once and I was there for 7 days. The appearance was not welcoming, there were old blood stains on one of my pillowcases aling with green mold on it, there was a crusty dried stain behind the sink handles, the sink and tub drains were clogged, marks all over the shower wall, shower head did not work. The curtains did not close all the way, centipedes in the room. I think it's crazy how they had 3 different hotel name signs and they were up before renovations were done. By the looks of it, they aren't even close. This used to be a really nice Holiday Inn Express years ago but was messed up because someone wanted to fix what wasn't broken. Hardly and air came from the AC. I worked at a well known hotel for 3 years and if I had worked for this one I'd be mortified. Never again will I stay at this one. Even the steps to upstairs were rusted and sitting away. There were stains on the towels. Is this hod you would expect for a room to be if it were you who were staying there? Do not stay here.

Room was nasty, mold, dead bugs, dusty. No refrigerator as stated on room details. Coffee maker could not be used because it was nasty as well. But on the good side: bed was very comfortable and the AC worked.

Maybe the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Black hair in the shower, floor is filthy. I was afraid to walk around without my shoes on in the room. Dirty smudges on walls, you can see daylight under the door. If we hadnt been exhausted from driving all day, we probably would have packed up our luggage for five people and left. Never never never stay here.

Upon check in, i asked for a first floor room and was told the hotel was full. However, the room below ours was available all night. Unfortunately, the room was not very clean. The shower curtain rod was coming off of the wall- causing water to pool on the floor, creating a hazard. The building is in serious need of updating.

Zack the receptionist made my check in awesome and it is very quiet

The room was great for everything we needed staying one night.

There were workers also staying here who were very rude and loud and noisy. We complained to the front desk who asked them to please be quiet for the other guests to no avail. Late at night we went to the office and were confronted with “ loco americanos”. The property was extremely unkempt and the guests rude. I felt uncomfortable and we checked out in the middle of the night. I would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. The front office did try to help us but the other guests did not care and kept being obnoxious.

The bed was very comfortable. The top door lock was hanging off the door, the shower was disguisting, the one lamp literally had a shade falling apart and I had to use a hair tie to close the curtains. Had it not been for us driving until 2 am, I would have left. My fault for not reading all of the reviews. I do have pictures.

The motel we had a reservation at had to cancel due to our rooms having damage from previous guests. The only rooms available were at this motel. The rooms were very dirty. I can handle a run down place if its clean. We had to go to the dollar store to get fabreeze so we could stand staying in the rooms. There were 3 of us in one room and 4 in the other. There were 2 sets of towels in each room. When we ask for more towels you would have thought we were asking for a brick of gold or something. The man was upset cause we wanted more towels. He kept saying there shoukd be 3 sets. Well there wasnt and even if the one room had 3 sets it still wasnt enough. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I will not be back and will avoid choice hotels at all cost.

The door was warped I couldn’t get open. There were some unsavory stuff happening outside, so I left within 5 minutes without even getting the refund. The staff never responded to my messages messages when I wrote them. I felt unsafe. I don’t believe the staff is a fault or the facility itself. It was more than an environment situation.

I was in town for a short amount of time on the way to a further destination. I had a friendly person check me in. I had a clean room with a comfortable bed and a good thermostat. I had a clean shower. Nothing else matters while I'm traveling.

The employees at the desk were frendly.

Check was fast and easy staff was very nice. Property very outdated however we were comfortable for our overnight stay.

It was clean. The person at the front deskwas not the friendliest. The other employees we came in contact with were very nice. It was confusing because the sign said Econo Lodge, and then when we register Knights Inn but on my card statement, it said Eco Lodge. It had a phone but was not connected to anything and no buttons. It was OK. It’s just old and needs some work.

Pilot mountain is beautiful

The view out my window was a wall. At the time, they had no continental breakfast.

Decided to extend our honeymoon trip an extra day, and visit Andy Griffith's homestead area. Floors and bathroom were filthy, had trouble finding outlets just to plug in lamp and microwave, breakfast fruits were old, and couldn't even get an actual receipt when checking out. Glad this was a one time stay!
