I stayed at this hotel recently and found it clean and comfortable, though it feels quite dated, like stepping into a hotel from the past. Stayed before and after early and late flights. Shuttle bus to airport provided for a reasonable charge, parking free for actual nights stay and can be left for duration of holiday for £5 per day. Rooms clean and comfy bed but bathroom a little 'tired'. Couldn't fault breakfast. Overall, it was most certainly value for money and would use again for late/early Manchester flights.

Stayed at one of the newly renovated rooms. Much better than the rooms upstairs with old carpets. 12 minutes to airport. 8 pounds with hotel shuttle. When you arrive at the airport you need to make arrangement so you don’t wait too long for the shuttle

The hotel was nice enough but no lift to the bedroom and staff didn’t assist with our luggage. I could’nt add breakfast to my booking on arrival and the pool was closed for the weekend, which was disappointing as I had planned on going for a swim during my stay.

It was difficult to get through to the reception on the phone. Directions for the shuttle bus service were poor and I was surprised I had to pay for this especially as the driver was pretty grumpy . The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the man on reception in the evening was pleasant.There were good tea making facilities in the room and the bed was comfy. There was no-one on reception early morning and the lift was broken down so had to carry a heavy case up and down to the room. Didn't eat as arrived at 9.20 pm and left at 5.45am so the restaurant was closed. Glad I had brought sandwiches.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Swimming pool and spa facilities were a definite plus. The food was good to average. The room was very small for a double room. The hotel was “tired”. We were on the second floor - carpets were worn, paintwork and decor needed refreshed. Large car park but the bays were too narrow for most vehicles to park safely. Convenient for airport.

Poor standard. Bathroom was dirty, rust marks around the bath. No cleaning products (shower gels/shampoo despenser was empty) Breakfast times weren't suitable considering you're focused around weddings and special events. You have decent check out time but early closing for breakfast.

Extremely Basic hotel rooms. Our room was not clean there were marks on walls & the one chair in the "double room' was marked and dust around edges there was cobwebs in corners and cieling with spiders and blood & stains on curtains. I asked reception if we could upgrade & was told NO because you have dogs. I told him the room is dirty and there is cobwebs and spiders everywhere can we change rooms. We were given another very small room which was much cleaner. The tv didnt work in there. Not impressed we definitely wont be staying there again.

The bathroom was not clean, mold around all fixtures in the tub area. The walls are very thin so you hear everything from the next room. The building is very old and needs a lot of work but the food served from the lounge was good.

Hotel looks the part from the outside, inside is dated, very soft bed and pillows but that’s personal preference, the bed and toilet was clean, however could do with some attention in the corners, wall were thin and there was a lot of noise throughout the night. Was some white mould under the window in the room. All in all, a good stay for the price. Good location for the airport and train stations in the area. Would stay again if we were travelling from the airport and were flying out early.

I arrived at 2:15 just ahead of checkin. I was dismissed by the front desk, told to go sit and wait (don’t bother me was more the attitude). By 3:15pm I was advised I could now checkin. I asked about wifi…was told to just go online and purchase it. I did so, wifi did not work in room 109. I called the wifi provider, surprise, no answer and no return. I again attempted to email the wifi provider, no response. Three elevator (lift) was marked out of service but several times saw staff using it….I had to carry my bags up the stairs to 1st floor. Rm109 has an appalling view of a dirty roof where alll the smokers use the rooms to smoke in and throw butts outside….disgusting. Big mistake, staff were entirely indifferent to customer needs, only bar staff very pleasant. Would pay a few £$ more and go elsewhere.

The hotel was dated and in need of a refurb but everything was clean, comfortable and worked. We were impressed by the gym, enjoyed the breakfast and slept well. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend and visit again. Down sides were that people were up early to catch flights and it was quite noisy for a while. Also we found travelling to Etihad Stadium expensive.

The loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Barely slept. Drunk people shouting and slamming doors all night. The walls are paper thin so can hear everything happening in other rooms. Room was tatty and the mattress was uncomfortable. If you value rest ahead of a journey do not chose this hotel.

Standard double is very small. One of you has to sleep up against the wall. So if that person was to get up at night they would have to climb over the other person. Room is small and the view was over a roof.

My window was next to the kitchen roof. Bird's poo, cigarettes ends, lipbalm tube on the roof. Noisy extractor fan working until late night next to 107 room Very tired deco, cigarettes smoke smelled room with cheap spring mattress. Half a ceiling lights didn't work. Doggie free WiFi, expensive premium WiFi. Small, old fashion TV in the room. No information about the hotel facilities in the room. Time to call for Alex Polizzi

For an overnight stay only it’s fine. Needs updating. The shower didn’t work, they had put in a bath tap with a hose and head but nowhere to hang it to make it useable . Small rooms with hardly any insulation. We could hear the adjacent rooms tv and conversation and they weren’t loud.

We arrival late as our flight was delayed. Had to wait as a large party was booing in. Also a lady booking a room without already booking a room. We gave our details to the chap and he told us there didn’t have any rooms. Left we could wait until there had a room about 3.00am or we could have a full refund if we waited until 10am when the manger came in. He said it was there policy if you hadn’t turn up by 11pm there would sell your room. This is a room paid for in full at the time of booking. Don’t forget this is an airport hotel. He kept saying sorry but my poor husband had to drive us home after a very long journey. I did use the hotel chat and was able to speak with a person. Helpful to a point to be fair not much he could do. There offers was a full refund or try to get us a room somewhere in the area. We was well on our way home by them so we asked for a refund. Told we would get full refund. That we would be contacted in the next 72 hour to arrange the refund. Which l paid up front and in full at the time of booking. But have to wait over 72 hour my money. So be warned

It is often a cliché phrase "the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful" but it is definitely a true one for the staff at this hotel. When you're tired at the end of a long day, the efficiency of the check-in and the warm willingness to help those with limited mobility collect and carry cases from the car is absolutely priceless and worthy of praise. Our holiday truly started with our stay at the Britannia Airport Inn!

Good hotel if you are getting an early morning flight from Manchester Airport. I use it to stop the night when I go up there plane spotting. You can park overnight for free when you stop there.

Location is good and shuttle is a tad expensive. The food is eye watering my expensive. The portions, we’ll the waitress dropped a chip off the plate and I had to remind her that was 25 per cent of the chip portion on my meal which worked out to about 50p by my reckoning. The queue at the bar was (old joke) the other thing apart from the Great Wall of China..) well slight hyperbole but it died down after a while and I got my order. Room nice, location nice and old but good. I would and will book again, snidy swipes aside’
