Intended to stay here for a few years certainly didn’t disappoint The food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful Hotel and rooms were kept clean to a very high standard Good location for exploring the area either by bus or nymr

A lovely hotel located in beautiful Goathland, and a perfect location for touring the North York Moors. Even accessible without a car using the Coastliner bus and the North York Moors Railway (as we proved) but a car is definitely recommended. The service from all the staff was absolutely top rate - nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. A variety of lounges and a cosy bar made for a good atmosphere. And in good weather the garden is a delight to sit and enjoy a drink or even a snack. A great breakfast offering just about everything you could ask for. And the only slight downside was that the restaurant and bar menu (they are identical) was rather limited in scope. The food was excellent, but for a stay of more than two or three nights you would run out of options.

All good but maybe more choices on the evening meals menu in the hotel restaurant
