Everything you needed is there on the property. The only thing I wish they had was a shuttle bus. Unless you have transportation, you have to take a taxi. Other than that the concierge the staff were great. I did miss having Poi at the luau.

The resort was aesthetically pleasing. Our accommodation was exceptional. We occupied the Golf View Lani, which we thoroughly enjoyed, particularly appreciating the fire pit feature. The parking fees, which we were aware of beforehand, were exorbitant. In my opinion, the beach bar closed too early, especially considering it was the sole establishment that offered basic dining options. While there was a small convenience store available, it too ceased operations at 7pm. Overall, the resort was inconvenient and offered limited dining alternatives. Were it not for the Ritz designation and the considerable rate of one thousand dollars per night, my perspective would differ; however, that is the case, and I did incur that expense. Given the quality of what is provided in return for the cost, I will not be returning in the future.

We always love our stay! All the employees were amazing. 2 small areas of improvement..we had an electric car and there is currently one charge station that did not work. Luckily, we had enough charge to get back to airport. I also had a pretty good fall at the pool. We asked guest relations if there was any medical people on staff that could give us a second opinion on whether I needed stitches. They said yes and called her right away. Turns out she was security and couldn’t give us any medical advice. Just gave us some bandaids. Maybe a list of nearby urge t cares would be helpful to have on hand? All in all we had a fabulous time and look forward to returning.

The hotel was under construction. My room was surrounded by scaffolding. The walkway to the pool was closed. There were men working with drills and jack hammers working on the outside wall of our room. The shower was covered in Black Mold. The toilet had a sewer smell when it flushed. The room across the hall had sewer issues with guys working on it. The fridge froze everything g even on the lowest setting. There were used coffee pods that were never cleaned up from the previous guest. The elevator broke down and they routed us through a dirty service area to a back elevator. This was not at all what I expected from a Ritz Carlton.

This is a gorgeous property but it’s north and set back far from the beach. The original plan for the hotel site is a protected burial site.It explains why hotel is set back. One average with resort and parking fees and taxes it’s 100$ a night additional to the nightly cost. The drinks are 20-30$. Staff is friendly and rooms are spacious but the balcony and views of the beach are subpar for the price. Umbrella included but no beach food or drink service. The shuttle service only takes you within Kapalua you must drive or Uber everywhere else. The 2 beaches south of the hotel are more family friendly. Hotels there not as luxury but they are right ON the beach . Overall views are breathtaking for our first time to Maui but I probably would have stayed somewhere else knowing the micro climate and beach distance. We got a great deal through Expedia but unable to get Marriott points for the stay.

Hotel is beautiful. Staff amazing. Our room was very clean. Loved being able to sit on patio and enjoy the grounds. Comfortable bed and linens, Negatives: Shower head did not have good pressure but the hand held did, No self parking and the charge is $65 a day for valet in and out.

Absolutely gorgeous property, amazing main lobby, love the pools, love the beach, love the room! Team is very nice and provided us with a bottle of champagne and snack tray for our honeymoon! Less dining options than some other resorts, but ate multiple times at the terrace and had great meals each time, and a bit cheaper than other dining options at competing resorts. Definitely felt like our money was well spent here, as oppose to another resort we stayed at in Wailea. Will remember for a long time and definitely recommend!

A little aged, but otherwise excellent resort for families with teenagers and toddlers. Their cabana and ocean beds rental were reasonable and convenient. Hotel restaurants are ok. Typical overly expensive and mediocre flavor; however, you have Plantantion House, Merriman, Sansei, and other Kaanapali/Lahaina restaurants to try. Also, nearby Honolua Store is perfect for more affordable dining and drink options.

Beautiful resort! Guest service was outstanding throughout the property and everything was clean and well-maintained. Margie at the front desk went out of her way to ensure we had an excellent stay and even helped us book our next trip. The only thing missing is a full service dining option for dinner. If you want something other than a limited menu/bar service meal (or the luau which occurs two times weekly), you have to leave the resort for dinner.

I enjoyed the property a lot, I think that some of the house cleaning staff needs to pay more attention to details. They offer free complamentry expresso, I opened the drawer so that the cleaning lady could see that it needed, to be refilled the coffe pods also 2 dirty coffee cups. The person closed the drawer without replacing the Kcups and left the cups dirty for 2 days. I had to call front desk to complain. Also had issue with a pool attendant, I asked him to bring 3 cups of water, He kept forgetting to bring the cups of water, I asked 3 times. After his shift he said tomorrow he would do better because that day he was lazy, that was his words.

Dirty. Cockroaches on the floor. Dirt/dust everywhere. Mould. HVAC duct blowing dust. Exposed electrical wires. Ongoing construction noise and nuisance. Entrances/exits blocked/closed. Low quality food, cocktails, service, etc. given skyrocketing prices. No free beach chairs and umbrellas. Limited extremely expensive number of chairs and umbrellas; $200/day. Reserved a suite with two beds in the bedroom. Received only one bed. Compensation of free breakfast and half of one night room rate did not even cover the difference of higher price of two beds I paid.

I mean, I could write an entire essay praising The Ritz in Maui! My partner and I just returned from a 5-day, 4-night stay at their property in Maui, and we were both in awe of everything! From the gorgeous property, to the views, to the valet staff, Joy greeting us the day we got in, to the rooms.... I can go on and on! Let me start by mentioning I Jorge, one of the valet attendants, who also welcomed us with a smile, took note of my partner's handicapped plaque, and was extremely helpful, kind, and courteous. Back to Joy again. When we got to The Ritz there was this beautiful lady snapping her fingers, with a huge smile on her face who saw us and literally welcomed us with open arms, and right away we knew we were going to love this place. After Joy guided us to the reception to check-in, which was super fast and easy, we looked out towards the beach and the views, WOW, just spectacular. The lounge area that looks out to the resorts various pools, grassy area, and to the beach left us breathless. Our king room was great as well, with a comfy bed, coffee maker, private mini fridge, two closets, balcony overlooking the golf course next door, with a view of the ocean, and a beautiful bathroom with double sinks, a standing shower, a nice sized tub, and private water closet. The pool area is just as gorgeous, with plenty of cabanas, lounge chairs, towel service, and wait staff for drink/food orders. I mean, like I said, I can go on and on, but you get my point.

The rooms are huge and very nice. The staff is attentive and friendly with overall great customer service. The pools are excellent with seating always available. We really enjoyed our stay here and will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms were nicely done. Staff was friendly. Didn’t have the same level of service as I have had at similar properties in FL or CA. Was a little more isolated in this area of Maui and not as much of a beach as I was hoping for. But nice experience overall.

Beautiful location and well kept property. Nice room, with patio overlooking the garden. Small things here and there that needs to be in place for this to be a 5 star experience. Dirty glasses and coffee cups not cleaned, rattling noise in AC (although fixed after highlighted), pool service not attentive. As others have pointed out, $65 per day for parking, feels very steep even for Ritz.

Overpriced unless you are getting a large group deal. The room is small and no frills. The onsite restaurant Banyan Tree is ridiculously expensive and the food was not good. The area (Kapalua) is breathtaking though and there is lots of beautiful hikes around the resort. Next time we will stay in the area but not at the Ritz.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The location is great with lots of activities around. However we were not impressed with the quality of service we received. House keeping never showed up for room cleaning unless we called to ask for service. There was only one restaurant we enjoyed the food at and that was Banyan. The lobby bar was ok but we didn’t really like the sushi , was not as fresh as expected. The front desk rarely had more than one person working so there was always a line for any inquiries and needs we had. Overall I wouldn’t stay again.

It seem under staff when it can to the bellhops and getting room services. Several times when calling the Valet for my vehicle it went un answer, same for other things like room services, bartenders at the pool and housekeeping. One of the elevators on my wing was down so it was a hassle for everyone to use the one available and overall it just gave it a bad look. Really didn’t like that there’s no other option for parking other than valet t $50/night. Communication with concierge was not good giving the wrong info, I asked about the beach chairs and umbrellas if you can reserved it I do in how much and she said they were free and didn’t need reservations but at the beach the staff informed me I had to reserve them and that they weren’t free. For the price overall I would definitely not recommend.

Honestly I was pretty surprised at how spotty the service was. Bell and valet folks were great, but check-in was a slow line, and it seemed like a lot of it was staff trying to upsell folks on club access. Also one morning my family went to the beach and the beach staff had no towels, they helplessly said they hadn’t arrived yet. Some guests made the quarter mile walk back to the hotel pool for towels but the staff didn’t just do that for everyone in general? Huh? A thousand bucks a night and you’re not going to make sure your guests have towels?

We enjoyed our 6 night stay very much. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Just be advised the hotel is pretty removed from the main areas of Maui. This made things quiet and peaceful but you definitely need a car to get around. We just usually walk alot to explore when we we are on vacation and sometimes we just want to grab simple, inexpensive meals so the location was a draw back for us. Also, the waves on the beach made it pretty treachorous. Not sure if it was just the time of year, but other beaches on the island were peaceful. Our daughter is a junior lifeguard and loved it, but I wouldn't have sent my 10 year old in the water at the beach. If you have small beach babies, this isn't the beach for you.

Beautiful property in Maui!! The hour drive in from the airport at night is a bit daunting! With the darkness, rain and poor road visibility you must be careful. With that said it made it difficult to navigate finding the property. Once there it is well worth it!! The kindness of the staff is constant and they made our stay enjoyable. Their staff surprised hubby & I with a beautifully decorated 30th Wendy Anniversary display in our room!! Please note this side of the island does tend to have more rainy/windy/cloudy days that hubby hated at this resort. I on the other hand enjoyed every minute!!! Everything from the nightly live music, their strong mai tai’s, walk to Harvest church on Sunday to their private beach is top notch and gorgeous!! I highly recommend!!

I am super impressed and touched with the exceptional thoughtful services that provided by each of the staff I encountered and talked to. Gorgeous swimming pool, best location that was so convenient to explore the dragon teeth and beach, blowhole etc. Such a wonderful &beautiful place in Maui!

The Ritz is located in an area that gets hit with high winds and a lot more rain than we expected. It’s also pretty remote and residential. The pool was nice. The beach was a decent walk down the hill and nicer beaches were further away.

Beautiful property, clean and friendly. Ridiculously expensive with a lot of hidden or unexpected charges such as a $40/day "Resort Fee" and a tax on that resort fee, also a "Resort Fee Transient Accommodation" daily charge, in addition to a "Resort Fee Maui Transient Accomodation" charge, Valet Parking fee of $45 (there is NO self parking option). So expect to pay at least $100 per day in addition to the base price. Restaurants are very expensive (breakfast buffet is $65.83 per person with tax). Expect to pay $120 per person for dinner at the Banyan Tree (between the two of us we split an appetizer, and each had a cocktail, an entree, and a dessert). That being said, the food at the Banyan Tree was excellent, probably the best we had during the trip. The Breakfast Buffet was also excellent with a wide variety or choices. A less expensive option is their cafe (about $19 for a breakfast burrito, including tax and tip). Another less expensive option is the nearby market (i.e. $3 for two boiled eggs in the refrigerated section). It was quite a long trek from the lobby to our room (or from our room to pick up the car), but the room was close to the pools (very clean, quiet pools and with excellent friendly service setting up towels, and offering poolside drink/food service). They offered towels and bottled water for us to bring when we went out. Incredible view from the bar, and nightly live music in the lobby/lounge. Overall excellent, but you have to be ready to splurge.

Food was horrible !!!! and very expensive. Not enough food choices and too far away from everything you have to rent a car and it was also a mandatory 65 a day valet fee. The lounge had a roach that kept crawling on our chair which was embarrassing. I'm just very disappointed for tje money i spent

We loved this hotel. While it's not a classic 'on the beach' resort, beaches are close by and the overall setting is beautiful. We had one of the 'fire lanai' rooms which turned out to be a great choice. The staff was great too. Next time we go to Maui, we plan to stay here again!

The stay was one of the worst I’ve experienced. On the day we arrived, there was an earthquake, and no one contacted us to check in or ensure our safety. The next day, there was a power outage that lasted about four hours. Because of that, the TV stopped working, and we were without it for two days. I called to have it reset, but no one came for over two hours, by which time we were already asleep. Our room wasn’t cleaned for two days, and we were told it was due to a lack of staff. It was also our wedding Monday, and despite sharing this information with the staff, we didn’t receive anything complimentary or any acknowledgment of the occasion.
