The staff were very gracious , welcoming, friendly- Krish in the evening and Ash in the morning were were both helpful. It took a minute for the air conditioning to kick in, and as soon as we asked Krish, he came straight away, and it started working before he got halfway to our room! The bed and bed linens were terrific- my husband and I both had a great night’s sleep! The curtains were dark enough to keep the street lights out- which is important to me for good sleep. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The tub and bathroom were clean. The breakfast bar was very good- coffee, waffles, eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, oat meal and more! I intended to only get coffee, as most included breakfasts aren’t so nice- ! The only disappointment was that the pool is no longer an available feature-no fault of the staff- it’d be good to note that on the website The Super 8 by Wyndham is an excellent value for a very good price. I’ll definitely look for a Super 8 by Wyndham for our return trip this month!

The room was clean. The breakfast was ok for the price. We was pulling a big trailer with truck but the parking lot was not big enough for us. But the gentleman was nice and let us park in front of the office for the night.

It was clean and the owner came out to direct my husband when we pulled in to the rather narrow parking lot pulling a trailer. There wasn't a lot of room to turn around. The breakfast starts at 6 am which my husband liked. They could use some fruit and yogurt on the breakfast, but it was adequate. The owners son had to come reset our TV because there was no way to change the input on the Spectrum remote.

Good place to stay for the price. Service dogs stay for free. Places to eat and gas stations are close. Two story hotel. Stairwell outside. No smoking facility. No elevator for second floor. Check on at 3pm Check out at 11am. I scheduled our room through Expedia. Showed front desk the Expedia price and thats what i paid. Front desk young man was very polite.

Already reserved & check in easy, man on desk pleasant. I asked for room on ground floor and this he did. Reception & breakfast area looked nice but didn't go back so can't comment on . Room nice size & OK with 2 comfortable double beds. Microwave & fridge & coffee maker. Bathroom looked like it had been updated & shower good with plenty of hot water. It was OK for our one night stay. Close to food outlets etc.

Parking lot does not accommodate a vehicle with a trailer in tow. Luckily they were not full, we took 4 parking spaces. Only spots in lot we would fit. Had boked on line and prepaid. Sign on door says all customers must park in their lot or be towed from neighboring lots. King bed only had 2 small pillows, ask for additional. All they could give us was a blanket to roll up. Need to have rooms sprayed for spiders. Was some remodeling done, clean. Bathrooms still older. Can easily walk to several places to eat dinner.

When I walked to my room, there was garbage on the ground, gum and cigarettes everywhere outside and the property generally looked dirty and not well taken care of. There was a massive gap in the door which caused a cold draft and let bugs in. The room smelled like pee. There was dirt and scratches on the floor and stains on the sheets. The cleaning lady knocked on my door over and over after I repeatedly told her no service needed, then she opened the door without my permission and I had to tell her for the 5th time please leave me alone because I wasn’t feeling well. I was originally planning to leave this place after the first night because of this entire experience, but then I also got sick and had to leave regardless. They refused a refund after all this. I will not be returning.

Overall, the room was clean, the front desk was helpful. The next morning housekeeping cleaned the room and gave us fresh clean linen. The only issue I had is that the door did not close firmly into the door jam. When we went to change rooms, we were told all the doors like that. This made my husband and I an easy because he’s familiar with the Orangeburg area. Saying it can be very dangerous. It was enough space between the door and the frame the air was escaping the room. And it would’ve been easy for someone to kick the door in. Even though the rooms are on the same side as the office, I don’t think anyone would’ve gotten away with it. But it just made me feel uneasy. My husband is blind, and the front desk clerk came to our room to help him find a TV channel. I really appreciate that they were very helpful. I would stay there again for short trips.

Clean room - very good Staff - kind Air conditioning - excellent Mattress - excellent Flooring - excellent TV - it would be helpful if it was wall mounted. Especially for seniors. There was a problem with the toilet. When we arrived and used the toilet for first time - the H2O pooled to the top. We tried calling to report this from the room the phone was dead! NO PHONE SERVICE. We tried calling from our mobile - NO ANSWER. Lastly, there was a baby roach on the toilet. I carry wipes with me for cleaning issues but...YUKE!! Not being able to reach the office by phone was a huge issue. I've never had this happen in all my travels. There are always outliers and if absolutely necessary I would stay there again.

There was a problem with the toilet. When we arrived and used the toilet for first time - the H2O pooled to the top. We tried calling to report this from the room the phone was dead! NO PHONE SERVICE. We tried calling from our mobile - NO ANSWER. Lastly, there was a baby roach on the toilet. I carry wipes with me for cleaning issues but...YUKE!! Not being able to reach the office by phone was a huge issue. I've never had this happen in all my travels. There are always outliers and if absolutely necessary I would stay there again.

My family and I checked into this place and left maybe 2 hours later. We were being watched by a gentleman right outside as we were unloading our bags into our room which had a broken lock. We tried to find a reason to stay, the deadbolt did work, but there was just an uneasy feeling about this place. The heater didn’t work and when I went to check out the lady up front told me that I’d be “surprised” if I knew how many of the locks get broken off. That didn’t make me feel any better about my stay there. She didn’t offer a different room and told me I was out of my money because we were there more than two hours. I had no idea this was a policy to begin with but she made sure she reiterated that I would get nothing back. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, let alone anyone traveling with kids.

Service was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and everything worked as it should. The faucet handle in the sink would fall off in your hand if you didn't hold it just right, but it did work. So, overall, a great experience.

This is a very basic property. Its older but in very good repair. Rooms were large and clean with good amenities. Breakfast is provided daily. Location is very convenient to I-95 and dozens of restaurants.

Perfectly decent and clean. The neighborhood is pretty chaotic with a lot of other businesses and freeways and whatever. Would have liked an extra blanket in bedroom but made do.

The hotel was what we expected at this price range. The facilities were dated but we were able to get a good night’s rest. The breakfast was good. Check in and checkout went smoothly. First room was ok, except tv didn’t work. Front desk moved us to another room, which was fine. Front door chain latch was missing, no lid on the toilet. Breakfast was minimal-cold French toast & rubbery eggs. Good thing it was cheap! Won’t stay here again, sadly.

The property and room were clean, comfortable beds. The showerhead was completely worn out and needs replaced (room 109). The breakfast buffet of eggs, sausage, and French toast looked tasty, but the warmer kept them barely at room temp.

We booked here at Motel 8 since not only was it close to where the (bike) Ride to End Alzheimer across SC was ending for its 2nd Day / starting for Day 3, availability, and good rate. Upon checking in and noting we wanted a non-smoking and pet free room, we were given a room on 2nd level. Ironically, the room next to us, had the guest sitting in a chair outside the room, smoking but fortunately it didn't blow into our direction and no.smell through the vent. The whole place was clean. We were here for only 1 night. So the fridge was helpful. Though we couldn't get any signal for the TV, it allowed us to get to bed earlier. Breakfast had both warm and cold items - and I especially appreciate the mini-size waffles for the waffle maker and made a breakfast sandwich with 2 mini-waffles, 2 sausage link and an egg. There was seating and was open at 6 am. Overall it worked well for us and staff was friendly
