A bit away from the airport, but they did have a shuttle service (free- 4am, 5am, 540am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am). Otherwise it’s #55 bus or cab to the airport). Check-in 2pm, and they let us in at 130 which was great. Rooms are large, kettle and coffee (nespresso) in the room. The lighting leaves much to be desired, it’s quite low, so I hope we didn’t leave anything behind! Next door to Public Deli (restaurant and store - go for the lunch special if you’re there at that time). Didn’t partake of the hotel happy hour or their restaurant. Fine for a one night-before the-airport stay. Free parking.

The hotel is very modern and clean, and the room was quite large. Lighting was very poor in the room and bathroom and part of the morning buffet area, with low wattage bulbs everywhere. The dark walls absorbed what little light there was. The included breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of hot and cold items. The complimentary airport shuttle bus was on time and efficient.

Property is located on old US Air Force Base and close to airport. Only stayed one night. Had dinner in their Cafe and it was good. Prices comparable to other area eateries, plus they did give a discount to guests staying on property. Rooms were a good size. There also is a morning shuttle to the airport if needed.

Great access to the airport. Deli nearby. Comfortable bed. Rental cars available next to the hotel but we were unable to rent for one day, which we wanted to do. Spoiled our last day of visiting Iceland. Restaurant on-site but we opted for deli next door. Great pizza!Food prices exorbitant, but this is true of entire country. Be forewarned!

We discovered a bed bug upon getting into bed. We immediately notified the front desk staff, left the hotel, and requested a refund. We were only there for about 1 hour prior to discovering the bug. We were told it would be refunded. I have reached out to f/u 3x over the last week with no reply from mgmt. and no refund has been processed yet. I would've hoped someone from mgmt. would have responded to me by now with acknowledgement of the issue and assurance of the refund being processed.

The best thing I enjoy about the hotel was its distance from the airport, available Wifi and the airport bus transfer from the hotel the the airport. The hotel was quite expensive, including the breakfast. There was an almost empty, used bottled with minimum soap at the hand sink, next to the toilet, and no soap in the shower, to take a shower. The toilet seat was loose, moving from side to side, making sitting on it quite uncomfortable. I understand that everything in Iceland is expensive, but I do not think I would want to stay at this hotel again. This hotel was even more expensive than Dubai International hotel, and did not even have the basic bathroom amenity, such as soap.

Everything was wonderful bathrooms were great and it was very quiet. Staff was great the only thing was in the room we were staying in there was a weird stain on the sheets and the people before left socks that hadn’t been cleaned up.

We had to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel which is about 5,000ISK. The hotel itself is clean and has everything you need for an overnight stay close to the airport. The breakfast was adequate.

Hotel is undergoing substantial remodel and it’s a mess! Even tricky to find entrance to hotel. Besides construction site appearance it was dark inside hotel and someone was smoking on our floor. Entire hallway smelled and it’s a non smoking hotel. Also the shower did not drain properly and overflowed onto floor. Do not recommend staying there.

The front desk greeted us with kindness after a red eye and a LONG travel day exploring. The room was impeccably clean and had all the modern touches in a very simple format. It is convenient to the airport for early flights.

Hotel is conveniently close to the airport. It was nice and clean - only thing it didn’t have was soap in the room. Breakfast was good and early (starting at 4am) for travelers with early flights. Hótel also has a shuttle to the airport.

We stayed here because of proximity to airport. Property looks in need of sprucing up both inside and out. It looks as if they are doing some work on the front of the hotel so we had to go in the back entrance. In the lobby, smelled strong smoke odor but that was probably because the back entrance was also where they designated smokers to go and smoke. Check in staff were polite and efficiently got us checked in. The room was large and we had ample room but it was very dark-the lighting in the room was dim especially in the bathroom. Ladies-difficult to put on makeup because of the lighting. Chair and foot stool in room both had stains on them. Restaurant-we had dinner and Breakfast which was fine. Not trying to be too critical but after being in several hotels in Iceland, you really notice the differences.

. This was converted military base. Just realizing in the summertime there is no AC. There are no places to store your clothing and one place to hang out for pieces of clothing. No bureau nothing. It was a joke.

It’s clean, not far from the airport. They do advertise “soundproof” rooms. And, that is not true at all. You can hear everything from every surrounding room, the hall, above you, below you, next to you. It’s almost as if there were no walls at all. The shuttle only goes to the airport and not from it. That’s an important distinction. There is early check in-for a fee. The “restaurant” is a refrigerator with premade food. It’s convenient for an early morning flight, just bring ear plugs.

The staff were friendly and the room was spacious. But it was very cold on arrival as the heater was turned off. There is a large area of wooden floor which remained cold until the morning which is when the room warmed up with the heater turned to max. There was no heater in the bathroom which had a ceramic floor so remained cold. The bed was comfortable, we didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food. Convenient for the airport but take some slippers or thick socks.

The property was undergoing major renovations of the front entrance so everybody had to use the entrance located in the back of the building. Issue is there are two doors to entry and each one had a step on the doorway and was a hassle to get in and out with bags by yourself. Staff was polite but awfully uninformed about basic info regarding tourism. Asked about northern lights and got an “i know as much as you” and when I asked about the situation at the blue lagoon given there was an eruption couple of days prior i got for an answer “i dont know, but with all the gases in the air I wouldn’t recommend to go”…. The place was safe and cleared by authorities wich I had to find out by myself. Its an ok hotel with proximity to the airport, the room I picked was super spacious, clean enough, batroom seemed to have been renovated, the heater worked perfectly but the housekeeper never restocked the coffee pods (annoying). I wouldn’t choose this one again… there are plenty of other options

We had a good stay at the Konvin Hotel. It is conveniently located near the airport with a shuttle, making it easy to get there with luggage. The front desk staff were very helpful, and the dining staff in the restaurant very friendly. The rooms were spacious and can easily accommodate a couole with 2 children. We did not have children so there was more than enough room. The hotel is about an hour from the city of Reykjavik, so explore the city before heading to the hotel. It does provide value for money spent

We were under the impression that breakfast was part of the stay, however you had to have a "voucher" of sorts. The staff was friendly and our room was very clean. Construction was being done so they could not do much about that. We also thought there was a shuttle that could take us to the dock.

It was a great stay. The people at the front dest were very helpful and nice. The food was amazing in the bistro and everyone was great. My one thing is the website is a bit misleading. It made it seem that there were tours and shuttles provided for people who stayed at the hotel. Yes there is a shuttle to the airport but only in the morning. The website made it seem you could get a shuttle from the airport as well. Getting to the hotel from the airport is a bit of a challenge. All in all the experience was good besides the little misunderstanding.

This hotel was convenient to the airport. It cost about €23 for a taxi to get there. The shuttle only takes you to the airport between 4:00 and 10:00. It is close enough to walk to a couple other neighborhoods even though the staff will tell you that you can’t.

Room was big, bed was big and comfortable and the staff were brilliant. There is also a really nice restaurant called Public Deli next door. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the location. I had not been to Iceland before and wanted a hotel at the airport for the last night so we didn't have to rush in the morning. The hotel also advertised a free transfer to the airport. In reality the hotel is 7km from the airport and their last shuttle bus to the airport is at 8am. We had a 12 noon flight so it was a bit early. We spent £60 on taxis to the hotel from the airport and then back again. I would've spent that £60 on the hotel that is at the airport of I'd known.

Upon check in, the Konvin did not honor the Expedia rate. They told me to contact someone via email for help with this, but I have yet to receive a response (two weeks later). I was sick for three days after eating the very expensive breakfast. This hotel was incredibly expensive, even by Icelandic standards, but offers zero frills.

It was my second stay after I previously visited last year. Dinner was lovely in the restaurant and cooked to a high standard. Similarly breakfast buffer was very good offering a range of options. Staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were smart, clean and very well presented. Bed was very comfortable but had to ask for extra pilllows but these were quickly supplied. Coffee and tea was also supplied in the room. Shower was lovely and hot and had excellent pressure. My only gripe was the room was a bit on the cold side and appeared to have no heating. Plenty of parking and located to a relatively short distance to the airport. Would highly recommend this hotel over Hotel Berg as we had a very dissatisfied stay on our last night so wish we had booked another night here at Hotel Konvin.

Overall the hotel is newly renovated and is nice and clean. Modern decor. My main issue is the lighting on the room and bathroom. very dim and poorly lit. It’s like they used 40 watt incandescent bulbs when they should have used 100watt. The downlighting in the bathroom nice but without a main overhead brighter light, you are basically staring at yourself in the dark. The food at the restaurant was good. The portions were moderate. The restaurant staff was nice.

This was a nice hotel, near airport. We had 2 single beds. Clean and cozy! Great pressure in shower! Breakfast was included and really good. We had dinner in the upstairs restaurant. It was really good. Fish and chips and onion rings- both delicious! Great service. Definitely would stay again.
