The Beacon Charlotte Airport by IHG

We stayed here one night to take the shuttle for an early flight out of Charlotte. We took the shuttle at 5:30 AM. The driver was very friendly and helpful, loading our luggage for us. It was a 6 minute ride to the airport and he dropped us off at the departure terminal. When we got back, 5 days later, we called the hotel and they had a driver come pick us up within 15 minutes. This was very convenient and saved us the hassle of parking at the airport and using the shuttles. The hotel was very clean and comfortable

The hotel needs a major remodel everything is falling apart. The left elevator door takes 3 min to close, no hot water in the sink. Shower heavily drips water, tv the size of a shoe box, everything is falling apart. The staff was thr best thing the hotel had to offer.

After getting delayed in Charlotte, the airport shuttle was the main draw to this hotel. The shuttle, check-in, and breakfast were exactly what we needed after a stressful end to a day of travel delays.

Great Location, airport shuttle service, front desk. This was a very good located hotel for a short trip in Charlotte . I would recommend!

I didn’t like the fact that the airport shuttle service didn’t start until 6:00 am. I had to take an Uber to make my 5:30am flight.

I chose this location because it was listed as having an indoor pool. After check-in, my boys headed down to swim - no water in the pool!

Shuttle never showed up to pick me up at the airport. I waited 1.5 hours. Constan excuses from hotel manager on duty. I ended up sleeping on the floor in the airport.

Breakfast was included... no napkins in two days that I was at the hotel. The pool was not in service and the AC in the room was not good. Water in shawer was cold.

The room was not up to a Marriott standard at all. The lobby smelled like mildew. The phone did not work. There were stains on the carpet , walls and tub and I had to get cleaning items delivered just to be able to stay there. Someone was always walking from the desk and the complimentary shuttle is not convenient at all.

No amenities , pool out of operation , 305 room needs to be renovated massive stains in ceiling in bathroom looks like water damage and or mold .. bad lighting in room one lamp didnt work and one bed stained on upholstery

The room was moldy. The elevator and stairs were covered with stains, and the bathroom sink was stopped up. I had to spray my room with Lysol to get rid of the smell.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel, SpringHill Suites by Marriott® Charlotte Airport, located at 3055 Scott Futrell Drive, Charlotte, NC. I checked in at 10:17 AM on July 27, 2024 and checked out at 4:57 PM the next day due to an extended layover. Upon arrival, the desk clerk and the shuttle driver were personable, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. However, my experience quickly deteriorated upon reaching room 419. The room conditions were appalling and unacceptable for any guest, let alone for someone celebrating their 23rd anniversary with family. Here are the specific issues I encountered: Room Cleanliness: There were numerous dried blood stains on the dirty carpet. The green pull-out bed was soiled and the room had a terrible, unpleasant odor. The bed linens were soiled, and I had to request clean sheets from the front desk. The A/C unit was loud The Elevator - was dirty Overall Experience: The poor condition of the room significantly marred our anniversary celebration and caused great discomfort for our two children. Given these issues, I feel that my stay was not only disappointing but also posed health risks to my family. I request a full refund for the inconvenience and substandard service. Additionally, I hope that you will address these issues promptly to ensure other guests do not face similar experiences.

Dirty, sticky feeling rooms, couch with stains, nightclub next door was very loud until 1am, water does not heat fast, toilet did not flush well, breakfast was decent, close to airport, staff nice. Hotel needs updating. I would not stay here again.

The night manager Thursday night was great. The other staff was not rude but not helpful. First room was dirty we had to move to another. Phone did not work, it was missing cover over smoke detector and caluk around bathtub peeling. It was comfotable nights sleep so value for the money.

The property was clean walking into the lobby. But the room was dirty. There was stains on the carpet, the wall paper was coming away from the wall, the bed skirts had brown stains, and the shower curtain was far too short for the bathtub, which created puddles on the floor causing slipping hazards. There was no fan in the bathroom to help with the steam. For the price that I paid for the room, I was expecting far better cleanliness.

Property is run down. Wallpaper peeling off the bathroom wall. Sink drained slowly. Stains on carpet in room and throughout hallways. Stairwells had dirty floors and trash.

The room was ok, but the internet for the television was very poor. unable to watch any television because of it stalling. I was there for only one night and unable to add anything further.

The breakfast was pretty good, lots to choose from. Room was spacious and convenient. The tubs should have mats inside so you dont slip. And when we arrived there was some funky smell at the entrance, lobby and room.

The bath tub was clogged and the ironing board legs were broken in half.

Night checkin receptionist was confrontational. If I had not prepaid for the night would have moved on to different establishment. Room heater messed up, noisy, thermostat none operational. Noisy freeway noise all night. Breakfast a joke, no OJ no milk what were those eggs??

Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Unfortunately the tv reception was sketchy and getting hot water for a shower took almost 10 minutes. Nice place for just an overnight stay.

Staff friendly. Needs updating. Tub peeling.. stained carpet.

It’s okay. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The staff was under a lot of pressure because maybe 15 or so people arrived at the same time in the middle of the night due to cancelled flights. Took a very long time to check in. One of their card readers wasn’t working. Pool was out of service.

The man at the front desk was VERY RUDE and disrespectful. I got the room through Expedia and he asked for me to swipe my card. I did thinking it was for incidentals and he then said swipe it again for incidentals. He said that my first swipe was for the room because it was not paid for totally. I asked him how when I had the reciept. He said he could not tell me why and that he didnt have to tell me why. He caused a big scene which was embarrassing. My room was totally paid for through Expedia. I have never been through that before. I am a rewards member for Marriott.

The room was clean, and the morning staff were friendly, which is why I’m giving this place 3 stars. The breakfast was not like it’s portrayed in the photos. Very sparse and legitimately worried about getting food poisoning because the deli ham they cut up for breakfast was cold (I thought that was intentional until I went back for seconds and the ham was hot). Additionally, the woman checking people in at night was not friendly or helpful.

Quick and easy to get checked in and out. Staff were wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend staying.

We booked this hotel because we were going to a concert at Coyote Joe's. The hotel is only a half mile away. The room was clean and comfortable, easy parking and check in.

One of the worst stays I have had at any Spring Hill Suites. Hot water didn’t work in our room and when we went to take a shower the water pressure was missing. Floors dirty hair on the ceiling. At check in we were told breakfast went until 10:30, at 10:00 we went down to be told it ended at 10. Fine-we will just eat some cinnamon rolls we were given by a friend and asked for forks. Got reminded breakfast was over at 10…. Not impressed and wouldn’t stay again.

I slept well, I had some issues with items and missing things. Some things was dwelt with. Though their was breakfast, not much of the hot choice was pleasing to my liking. No complaints about staff.

This is by far the worst Marriott that we have ever stayed at. The hotel was run down, dirty, no hot water and there was suppose to be BREAKFAST included however they ran out of everything and we got yogourt only. This will be our first and last time staying at this hotel. Marriott should be ashamed of themselves, the standards at this hotel is lacking.

The staff was courteous.The breakfast was excellent. It was an older building so I couldn't locate any USB outlets. The desk clerk said there were renovations on the way. I loved the floor plan. I stayed for 3 days. I was very comfortable. I would like to stay there again in the future..
