We stayed for two nights, it was very clean, the water from the shower came out a lot and warm. Although the fwy is next door, you can sleep. And the parking lot was close to our bedroom.

Its good hotel good for the price its clean Parking is good but a small lot. The front desk is very friendly and will always work to provide you comfort. It my go to spot when im in the bay visiting family and friends very close to freeway and food also in the next exit.

No restaurants or stores within walking distance. Not ideal place to walk around in the dark. The room is fairly clean. Not too far from UCB and good price for a one night stay. This is my second stay here. I didn’t hear any noise from adjacent rooms. Maybe I got lucky. The bed is bad. Needs to replace. The pillows are bad. Hard and flat. The towels are thin and would not absorb water. But if you’re tired, you would just fall asleep quickly like I did. Parking is fairly safe. AC, fridge, microwave worked fine. Overall good stay and not over priced when visiting USB.

Always clean and staff friendly and attentive to all

Check in was fine around 5:00pm. But found the room was not clean. We usually sanitize rooms, but would have to clean. Not on vacation to clean. It was really filthy around the baseboards in the room. The bathroom had mold everywhere in caulking around the tub and tile, and the windows, which isn\'t good for anyones health. We left to get something to eat and to find other accommodations. Returned to check out. Definitely would not stay there. Non-refundable, because we didn"t report it right away I assumed. Should have known the rate was low for a reason .

We have stayed at this motel before and it was clean and tidy, and in a good location for our needs. This stay, however, was very disappointing. It appeared the bed was made fresh, although the bottom sheet was inside out (did they just turn it over instead of washing it??) The floor had hair and nail clipping and general dust/lint. There was a hair and shampoo stuck to the wall of the shower. There was no bedskirt, instead the zippered cover for the box springs was visibly dirty in several places from previous spills. (I wish I could share the photo with this review.) And, finally, the box spring was not seated properly on the metal frame. We were uncomfortable staying in such a dirty room, and will not be returning to this motel.

Biggest mistake staying in this hotel the room is dirty even the walls are dirty with spots of something like ketchup I think the bathroom is dirty and the curtains are extremely dirty like mechanics took a shower grabbing the curtains

We got in the first room and there was bloody sheets and used wet towels hanging in the restroom, and hair all over the pillows. When we asked to get a change of sheets they wanted us to change the sheets ourselves. They put us in a different room and more stained sheets and hair on the pillow but not as much blood!!! So I guess that’s a win and we ended up staying at our family’s house.

The sound insulation effect of the hotel is not good, you can hear the sound of vehicles driving on the highway. The cleanliness of the room was not ideal and I saw flying insects crawling on the desk. The K-Cup coffee pot on the table has an unclean filling inlet, etc.

Mildew on walls in room and shower, rotting baseboards near ac unit and windows, tiles and grout missing, woke up to step in a puddle of water on ground from leaking ac unit where i noticed the wooden bed frame where mattress sits on was rotting, ac unit filter had 1 inch or more covered in dust, And the shower was clogged so halfway through shower it was up to your ankles! They sent housekeeping who did not understand me complaints all to leave me stuck their one night all to wake up sick and congested from my asthma! And to top it off they knew I was disabled and pregnant with kids staying there!

The room face a busy noisy California street.

It's good that it's close by the free way, but it is kinda noisy.

The bed and pillows were terrible. It was flat and you can feel the wires

phone & wi-fi access was terrible. that said the room was surprisingly quiet considering how close to freeway we were & very convenient to places we went tho none were 'walkable' still the staff were excellent & very helpful (due to train schedule we arrived quite late and they were most accomidating = loved having a fridge/microwave- tv service was great. i personally found the mattress hard but i like a softer one. wish they had softer pillows tho. -- this is not against the room - i just find the platform bed style they use (as does motel 6 etc) to be very uncomfortable as the mattress slides around on it. but thats just not a preference of mine.

Well, Richmond is not the best place in No Cal. Hotel is old and decent upgrades inside the rooms. It was noisy and the room layout is bad. The bed mattresses move easily and not comfy. Best part is that Costco is near by and that was helpful. Will have to think twice if to stay here again.

Its ok for one or 2 person to stay. Not good for a family of 4 or 5. Beds are so small and uncomfortable

My trip was for only one night. Short stays are usually when I will stay at a mediocre to good hotel for the sake of saving money and for the convenience. I factor in reviews, ratings as well as cost. I would stay at this hotel again if there are any future stays in this same area. Best thing about my room...clean. Most disappointing.... unable to join the WiFi network. I let the manage know when I checked out

The room smell like tobacco as soon as I walked in there the shower didn’t work at all and when I brought the issue up I was told by the guy at the front desk that it was already too late that I had accepted the room. I told him that the fact remained that they gave me a dirty room which it was unacceptable. He didn’t attempt to fixed or anything and said that regardless I had paid full price and used the room. I would not recommend that hotel at all if I could I would give them -100 rating. Bad service don’t care for the customers.

Super nice and I called to ask for an extra cot bed- they changed us to a bigger room and gave us the cott for free!

When I called I was told they accept small dogs. I arrived early around 11:00 am. I asked if it would be possible to check in before 3:00 pm. I was told no and at that time the front desk person saw my dog. When 3:00 came, and I was in the process of checking in, that is when he told me dogs were not allowed. Customer service is awful. You get differeng information depending on who you talk to.

Great place for the Price. Incredibly friendly staff and provided everything we needed, including extra pillows.

Nice and quiet, staff very nice and helpful

I stepped into the room for five minutes and instantly started getting nauseous it had a very strong chemical smell a mixture of cleaning products with no ventilation. I tried opening up the window airing it out, but it just wasn’t working well I asked for a refund as I decided to not stay there and ended up getting a hotel elsewhere and they denied my refund. I literally wasn’t in the room longer than five minutes. It’s very unfair for them to not give me my refund.

I left a day early and they won’t refund me!

My flight came in late so I was counting on a 24 hour check in desk which they said they had. I waited an hour and a half to get into my room. Which was about 3 am

They dont tell you need $100 deposit and the staff is very rude they dont have an atm and they dont take certain card i spent an hour i the lobby transitioning money from account to account to pay a deposit on a room i already paid for

Quiet, clean, spacious, well equipped. Shower maybe needs an update. AC or heating were effective. Very convenient place if you have a car, but an easy 15 minute walk to businesses on San Pablo. Also easy connection to BART, as the bus stops right on the corner at the Inn.

Ended up checking in and then checking out a few hours later. Everything is very dated and I was unsure if the cleanliness. The noise is intolerable as you’ve got a freeway on one side and a super busy road on the other. I had booked three nights and received no refund for any of the nights. Extremely unsatisfied. Not at all like their listing suggests. I can be pretty accommodating about hotels. I tend not to judge harshly but this was just disappointing. I’ve never check in to a hotel and then left

Lower budget place to stay. A few transients around but room was clean abd pretty quiet.

The most decent motel you can find at the low price and within decent distance when visiting UC Berkeley. Stayed here at least 4 times already. The room we stayed last time was the worst ever in terms of maintenance. The other times we stayed were fine without any issues. The door knob was loose and ready to fall out. The shower/water control was extremely difficult to adjust hot/cold water. The GFI outlet was burnt and can not use. The lamps over the sink and entry hallway were constantly flashing. There were other small issues. So this room was not up to par. We just got the bad room. Hopefully not next time. Would I stay again? Definitely, unless I can find lower priced and decent motel close to UC Berkeley. But for those who do not like noise, the motel is next to the street so you will hear decent amount of noise at night. But we were able to sleep thru every time. There are no decent stores & restaurants within walking distance so you'll need to drive a little and find many good stores/restaurants which we did not mind.

Not very safe sketchy people staying there

This place is a dump. Room was really dirty and there’s not even enough water pressure to brush your teeth. And at $85 a night they don’t even have coffee in the morning. I will never stay at an Americas. Best value inn again.

The place was OK, Wasn't any place to get a meal, but the gas station a block away. The mattress was Old. & kind of soft.
