Great pool area, heated, restaurant and bar next to the pool that does poolside drinks. 50m walk down to the patrolled beach. Great peaceful location

Lovely spacious unit, very modern and clean. Downstairs has a couple of outdoor pools and relaxation areas. Direct access to the beach. It’s an added bonus to have a pub and a restaurant on the premises. Hot tip, request a seafaring room as the other rooms face the main road and can be noisy.

Great place to stay. Great ocean view. Great food in the bistro. Heated pool. We will be back👌

I found the property, room, facilities, gym,bar to be quite good.Access to the beach was very handy as well.I did miss having a microwave to reheat food items.Also a key to the back of room for the sliding screen door would enable acess to the pool area and facliites would be handy.Enjoyed stay

The rooms are a little dated but the hotel amenities were fabulous. Great location on the beach. Pool is heated which is great in winter.

Good size room with comfortable king bed but no kitchen pantry. Shower screen dated. No ocean view (despite booking saying otherwise). One bar phone cover. No supermarket nearby. But good beach access and quiet. Nice pool and reasonable gym.

Parking is a problem at times

Clean but room probably needs some maintenance. Air ventilation grate near entrance hall requires some cleaning and probably repainting.

The location was convenient, with the beach right behind the hotel. However, the rooms weren’t cleaned and smelled incredibly bad. I had to move around to three rooms before finding one that wasn’t dirty or smelly. Even then, the cupboard where the bin was had been filled with cigarettes and not cleaned. By this point, I just got over it and put the bin outside and called it a night lol. 2 stars for the staff trying to help and the beach so close.

This property does not service the room daily. The Interior is old and dusty. The carpets were stained and dirty.

I was not expecting much after reading the reviews. It was honestly fine except the cleanliness. Maybe there isn’t enough time allocated for the cleaning? The pool is awesome. Location is great!

Location is excellent and pool is good. But accommodation poor and disappointing. Expedia photos for this property show a pleasant hotel room. This is not a hotel. Rooms are individually owned and are differently furnished and maintained by Ramada. Wall had peeling and scuffed paint, extractor fans for air-conditioning and shower were full of dust. Mould around shower, sink tap broken, light switches worn and dirty, floor tiles cracked, furniture damaged, aircon noisy. No safe. Shown a second room equally bad with ripped fabric on bedside table lamps. Restaurant is 3rd party so can't charge food to the room. This is not a hotel. Staff were as helpful as they could be. Offered a different room which was equally poor. Gave us vouchers for the restaurant. We took this package (flight, car, hotel) through Expedia and it was not as advertised. The price does not reflect the quality of the accommodation. The rental car too was knackered. Expedia's info says to take complaints up with the hotel. But Expedia should take responsibility for the package that they sold. We're over from the UK staying in Melbourne. So this put a dampener on our 2 night break to the Sunshine Coast.

Positive-great location, lovely inground pool and beach within a couple of minutes’ walking distance from the hotel. Room from improvements-the hotel should consider room service at least every alternate day. As a minimum they can have their cleaning team replace the towels and empty the garbage bins. They should also consider proper maintenance and cleaning of rooms on a regular basis. Bathroom certainly needs maintenance to ensure there is no mould on tiles and especially toilets. There was certainly a thick build-up of mould indicating the toilet was not cleaned properly for a while resulting in us having to clean it when transferred from a separate room in the evening due to some issue with the air conditioning. The previous room was really outdated, very small and smelly. I booked the Queen Bed Hotel Room. Based on the photo on the website, amongst other things, it had full ocean view, The one that was initially assigned to us by the Hotel had partial water view. Also, there was no chair in the room as opposed to the photo on the website. Among some of the features, were the following: More • Desk • Energy-saving switches • Fresh bed sheets (on request) • Fresh towels (on request) • Iron/ironing board • LED light bulbs • Limited housekeeping • Phone • Recycling bin • Weekly housekeeping Limited housekeeping and weekly housekeeping can be confusing. Also, when I requested for fresh bed sheets, the receptionist advised me that they will charge me for it.

A cockroach came out in my room. It was so gross and scary

Cons: Unfortunately, the room condition significantly impacted our stay. While the room was spacious, the carpet had multiple stains throughout. Most concerning was finding leftover toilet stains and cigarette butts from previous guests, which was quite off-putting and suggested inadequate cleaning between stays. Safety Concerns: The outdoor air conditioning unit had a large rusted metal frame protruding from it, creating a serious safety hazard - especially problematic when traveling with a 3-year-old toddler. Value: At over $320 per night, the experience fell well short of expectations for a family stay at this price point. The poor room condition and safety issues made it feel like poor value for money. Service: No feedback was requested during checkout, which was disappointing as it missed an opportunity for the hotel to address our concerns directly. Overall: While the location is convenient, the cleanliness issues, safety hazards, and lack of attention to guest feedback make it unlikely we’ll return. For the price paid, we expected much better standards of cleanliness and safety.

Stayed for 1 night. Room wasnt exactly as nice as in the photos. Our friends room looked better and was supposed to be the same. Fridge was a mini fridge which was basicly a freezer and the milk was frozen. No window or view, some of the wall/ pillars had paint bubbling and peeling and just looked rundown. Clothes closet smelt funny. For $200 Aud a night probably not worth it as its almost the same price to stay in the Gold Coast/Broadbeach.Onsite restaurant was good, they were able to provide a candle on the dessert for a friends birthday. Location seems decent with shops nearby but also airport is across the road. Good if you’re looking for a short term stay and arent to fussy. Easy onsite parking and outdoor pool and beach access too.

The big negative for me was zero sound proofing. Absolutely no peace from people above slamming doors, dragging chairs around, stomping around all day and night. Maybe I was just unlucky

Lumpy bed. Aged room with rust, dust and mould in the shower, shower products that were empty, broken appliances and a tv that rarely worked and was facing the wall (very bizarre room setup). Bistro attached doesn’t offer breakfast most days, and essentially no vegan options.

The hotel was cheap and at short notice so we weren't picky. The room was small, tired and very limited in both wifi and actual electrical outlets to charge devices. The shower door didn’t close properly, the toilet rim was putrid and there were 2 attempts to sell us timeshare which we declined. Trying to sell a timeshare while accommodating you in a terrible room is not the smartest move. The pool was the only nice part of the hotel but scanning in and out without clearly marked signage of where to scan was confusing

Nothing stood out. Quite an old motel due for renovation. My room had a loud air conditioner. The bed was comfortable.

Phone didn’t work, patio door latch didn’t work, decor and furniture just a bit tired but ok. Must have been some construction work going on above us so was noisy till about 5pm.

Unfotunatttely we had to move rooms as the air cond died on our second day. The first room was badly in need of an upgrade as floor covering were dirty and so was the lounge, we had to get an over for it. The 2nd room we were allocated was excellent. Furniture amenities bedding and floor are very good plus a nice view

Rooms a bit old and not in great condition. Internet was hopeless couldn’t even down load emails. Very tired property. Restaurant was food and nice and close to airport and beach.

I’ve stayed at the hotel often and like the location on the beach - but this room was in the worst state of disrepair I’ve seen. Scratches, scuffs, peeling bathroom vanity - it isn’t up to Ramada standard. The hotel told me these are owned apartments- Ramada should refuse to accept it in this state.

As a resort it did not have the conveniences we were expecting such as being able to stay on site for breakfast on a weekday or grab a coffee before 11am. Also, reception was too busy signing us up to join the “Hotel Club” session to share important info such as which carpark we were to use and needing to swap lifts to get to our particular tower. Cleaners were wonderfully helpful on that last regard. Perhaps the handout sheet could have that info if reception are required to pedal out their sign up info. Also didn’t appreciate the salesman style pressure applied when we decided to cancel the info session in advance. The pool was lovely and the bed and room were comfortable apart from a bathroom sink that wouldn’t drain. Not the recuperative getaway we had hoped for.

An impromptu weekend away saw us book the Ramada at Marcoola Beach. Check in was efficient. We were then shown around the resort by Sarah from guest services. We didn't like the hard sell to attend one of the presentations over the weekend to join the Wyndham Club - we are both extremely busy at work and enjoyed a weekend away from city life without commitments. We didn't appreicate the pressure to attend a presentation. The room was small and musty but thankfully we enjoyed relaxing around the pool and on our balcony. It was disappointing for the price per night that the room was not serviced daily - you have to stay a week to have the room serviced, yet we only booked a hotel room for two nights and were not advised that there was no house keeping. Parking was also an issue on the Saturday afternoon/eveing as there was a wedding and all undercover parks were taken.f Close to beach so we enjoyed beach walks and cafes across the road offered a great selection of food choices.

The room was not ready at time of check-in. It was half an hour late. Was given 4 drink vouchers after expressing I was not happy about having to wait with food that needed to be refrigerated. The room was lovely and clean.The beds are good quality but way too soft. I really wish I had booked an ocean view room because we couldn't sit out on the balcony as it was too hot with the aircon motors there, no breeze and traffic noise. After the first night I enquired about the cost to upgrade to an ocean view for the remaining 2 nights but $200 seemed a lot considering the price difference of the rooms online was $30. Restaurant staff are friendly and polite. The reception staff are not very friendly. At checkout they just said ok that's it. Didn't even ask how my stay was.

Front desk staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to find a better room than the one I had been allocated.

We were given a room on the bottom floor, which I requested via email, and to which I never got a reply. They ‘upgraded’ us to a 3 bedroom apartment. I went to reception and asked for a room higher up, as the only reason I wanted ground floor was to access the pool, which you can’t. She wanted to charge me $600 more (I had paid $2350), for what, I am unsure. The room had many dents in the walls, plaster was missing in some spots. There were marks all over all the walls, including what looked like make up, dirt, scratches etc. the shower curtain had mould all over it which wasn’t pleasant. There was not much crockery and cutlery and these were dirty. There was a glass in the cupboard which was completely dirty with grease all over it. I’m not fussy, as a hotel is for sleep and showering, but it needs to be clean. The pool was lovely and the restaurant was delicious with lovely staff. Front desk staff weren’t that friendly or approachable.

Great location, except was a little noisy when the planes took off and landed

Great hotel that is close to the airport. Has an awesome pool and backs onto the beach. The hotel has equipment that you can use for beach and also bikes to ride along the pathway. Across the road is some places to eat or you can take the bus (stop about 100m away) to Maroochydore for more variety and shopping.

Close to the beach. Had trouble getting transport to the airport. With it being so close taxis and uber were unwilling to commit for such a short ride. Ubered in that cost $28. People told me their taxi was only $14. Hotel needs to look at getting their guest to and from the airport..

Great find on the beach! Underground parking provided with stay at no extra fee. Not many restaurants around the hotel in walking distance but a very convenient 7/11 across the street. Friendly staff and relaxing pool plus immediate access to the beach.

Handy to local bus with 50c fares, although half the rides were free doe to faulty readers. Halfway between Maroochydore and Noosa so handy for both.

Loved the king sized bed, as was expecting a double so was a nice surprise. We both slept very well as it was extremely comfortable including the pillows. Close to lots of amenities with cafes across the road

The Ramada by Wyndham in Marcoola was an excellent venue for the National Flying-Fox Forum which I was attending. Staying onsite was a very good option. I liked the proximity to the beach which I went for two walks upon - one after arriving on the Wednesday afternoon and the other early on the Friday morning, after which I had a quick dip in the pool which was lovely. I also liked the proximity to dining options - I went to the Tapas for their Curry Night on the Wednesday evening. The proximity to the Sunshine Coast Regional Airport was a big plus - as well as being a short taxi ride to the Ramada on the Wednesday, I was also able to catch a cab back there on the Friday at lunchtime to pick up a hire car that I needed for the Friday afternoon to use for the field trips so I could get back to the airport in time for my return flight to Sydney (which was due to depart before the field trip bus would have arrived back at the Ramada). The only two comments would make regarding improvements were firstly that cleaning staff should check the drawers as I found someone else's personal items in one of the drawers upon my arrival. Secondly, I would suggest a slight change to the configuration of the tap and spout at the bathroom sink. It is currently a little awkward as to turn the tap on one has to reach beyond the spout which is on an angle. It would be better to have the tap on the near side of the spout rather than on the far side. Perhaps this can be rectified so that it is easy.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, no issues but nothing special

The location is beautiful and right on the beach. The architecture is stunning and the pool is beautiful. There is a lovely restaurant downstairs which used to do buffet breakfasts but now does ala cart via QR codes which ruins the breakfast experience. The restaurant staff need more training because they were not helpful, to the point they actively tried not to make eye contact, which was the only let down of the stay.

We went for dinner one night at Surfair Bistro which was very disappointing. Firstly we were told we should have boo0ked and even though there weremany empty tables and we were hotel guests we were told we could not be accommodated. Eventually we were given a table. Our meals were dreadful and overpriced. I ordered battered barramundi which was clearly out of a freezer box and awful. My nephew was served a burnt chicken schnitzel and my partner was served a dried out overcooked parmigiana. Never again, we should have gone to the seafood takeaway across the road for fresh cooked food at a third of the price. Lift your game

Great pool, comfortable room with everything we needed. Location is handy, with a convenience store, bottle shop and cafes immediately opposite. The only negative was the lighting in the room, and especially the bathroom (or lack thereof) very dull and no fan in the bathroom meant it steamed up terribly.

Pool was great. Beach contaminated so couldn’t swim in surf. Not many dining places. Hotel restaurant was disappointing.

Property and environs very good, however the food I was served did not come up to expectations. It appeared it was something leftover from several days ago ( pork belly and Mash). A simple dish badly served.
