Spa changing rooms were filthy. Hotel send us a message telling us if we wanted dinner at the hotel we would have to book, I replied to the message confirming we wanted a booking but was never actioned. Rooms didn’t look at all like the photos, our room was in one of the out buildings away from the hotel, shampoo refill was empty, member of staff walked into our room without even knocking, then didn’t even bother to apologise.

Only stayed here for 1 night to be closer to the airport. Wish we arrived sooner to use the spa amenities. Rooms where cozy and the grounds were lovely.

This hotel ticks all the boxes, beautiful setting, lots to explore both inside and out! Stayed in the brand new Boyne view suites! Luxury personified. Five star accommodation with your own outdoor space. Relaxing in your personal hot tub overlooking the forest maybe gives it an extra star!

The hotel and surrounding areas are beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and tidy. We had dinner in the "informal" restaurant and the quality and prices were as expected (not cheap, but didn't feel overpriced). Breakfast could have been better, but it might have been bad timing since it's a buffet so it will depend on when it gets restocked. Our room was a good size, the bed was huge and comfortable. The only downside was it was very hot, and it was hard to cool it down since there was no air conditioning and the windows couldn't be opened more than a few inches. Fans were provided, but I imagine this is only a problem for a few weeks of the year. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room, but it would have been nice to have had a swimming pool as well.

The Bellinter House and grounds are beautiful. The main lobby, enterance is beautiful as is the dining room. But the diningroom was not well cleaned - dusty, cobwebs all over. Our sleeping room and bathroom were not well cleaned, dusty and cobwebs. There was one mirror in the bedroom but it is too far away from any electrical outlet to be used when drying hair. Breakfast was not great. I am planning a trip back to the area and unfortunately will not stay there again.

The rooms were large, CLEAN,and the beds were comfortable! The grounds are beautiful,but also walkable and serene. I was able to fully relax. The meals were delicious with plenty of options. Each member of the staff that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Looking forward to returning in the spring

We had a nice time in Belinteer House Hotel, the food and staff were both good. The hotel could do with a good clean especially of cobwebs and flies that are in several areas. It is really a wedding venue as breakfasts were segregated between wedding and other hotel guests. The dinner Saturday night was pretty good. The original rooms we were given in the Stables smelled musty and cold, the window wouldnt lock however our concerns were dealt with professionally and we were moved immediately and given a free drink for our trouble. It really has potential and is a lovely looking house in a great setting.

We had an amazing time at Bellinter House. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautiful and picturesque. I will stay there again.

Where to start? Our check in woman was snotty. As we were struggling to wheel our luggage across loose gravel, we realized we weren't offered any assistance. On our last day, we saw cars parked on said gravel, which would've been much easier but we'd been told to park elsewhere. Our rooms weren't in the main house but in a converted stable! It was sparsely furnished and required a space heater. Our bathroom wasn't cleaned during our stay. Avoid.

The staff (especially Steven) was exceptional with their commitment to customer service and assistance. Kudos and applause to them for their gracious hospitality. Regretfully, the deluxe suite we stayed in was freezing cold despite attempts by maintenance to fix it. Also, we woke up every day to find fleas or bugs in the bathroom sink. The common areas are well maintained, but the rooms were shabby and could use a repaint/refresh. The lighting fixtures were not working either and the property could use a major overhaul, despite a wonderful staff.

We stayed for two nights in “The Ruins” at Bellinter house. First, the drive into the property was exceptional, the grounds are gorgeous and the house itself has that WOW factor upon first sight. We were greeted graciously and were informed about breakfast in the morning. We were pretty tired from the road so we found our room and didn’t explore much. The next morning we had an Irish breakfast and went for a walk around the property. Very relaxing and charming. The Irish countryside is beautiful! Dinner at Preston’s on site was pretty great, the “hot stone filet” was incredible. I’ve never had a steak presented like that before. Very unique and delicious. I gave this hotel four stars because of a few minor things. First, being out in the country and next to a working farm, there were flies in our room, and flies in the restaurant. Next, noise insulation… or lack thereof. As stated above, we stayed in The Ruins which is detached from the main building. The people above us had kids that were running up and down the steel steps at 6:30 am non stop. As we were on vacation, we don’t get up as early as we do at home… this almost led me to ask for a different room. It’s an old, old building and I’m not sure what could be done. We would definitely stay here again, knowing what we know I would ask for a room in the main house. The staff were excellent, nothing was a deal breaker… we’re pretty low maintenance except when it comes to restful sleep.

Lovely overnight stay at Bellinter House with my mum, who was looked after so kindly by staff. Room was perfect for our needs - comfortable, spacious and clean. Apparently there are plans for renovations and upgrades which will further improve the offering. Highly recommend for a 1-2 night break!

The grounds and the main building are so beautiful, like from a movie. I guess the rooms vary significantly. We had one at the stables, which was ok. The radiator didn’t work, but we engaged an electric portable heater and did fine. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good. Deniz, our waiter, was so kind. My wife was not feeling well and he brought a fresh peppermint tea. We had to checkout early to catch a flight at Dublin, so we missed breakfast. I hope to be back someday.

Always good. Great staff. Amazing grounds. West Wing our preferred area from decor of rooms and being carpeted. All the other areas are wooden floors.. Not overly important. Just a preference.

We stayed in an upstairs stable room, the room was lovely, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was fab, shower was very powerful and a nice deep freestanding bath. Only complaint was the unbearable heat of the room. Every radiator was scalding hot and there didnt seem to be any way to turn them down or off. The light switch panels also didnt seem to do much, took a lot of button pressing just to get the lights to turn off.

The rooms were large, CLEAN,and the beds were comfortable! The grounds are beautiful,but also walkable and serene. I was able to fully relax. The meals were delicious with plenty of options. Each member of the staff that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Looking forward to returning in the spring

Front desk was short and unhelpful upon check in. Afterwards asking if we wanted to make a dinner reservation. We did, she wrote it down, and when we arrived for our meal, the restaurant was almost empty with every table having a “reserved” sign. There were only a couple actual dinner tables with chairs, the rest of the seating was couches with low tables. We went to ask the front desk if we were in the correct location (as there was no wait staff in the restaurant and multiple dining rooms). She said “she forgot to book our time” and just to go find a seat. We chose one of the actual dinner tables, as eating a meal on a couch is not ideal. After waiting for 15 minutes for wait staff to greet us, they then told us we had to move and go sit on a couch as another “customer requested the specific table” we had chosen. The music in the bar sounded as if it was being controlled by a monkey, as it would change volume, songs, and genres of music intermittently. Our meal was almost an hour, and during that time no specific customer arrived for the “special requested table”.Due to all this, we did not feel welcome to stay and enjoy a drink or two during our final night in Dublin. The rooms are cavernous and you are unable to hear other rooms, but all movement and banging in the hallways travels through the paper thin doors. The grounds and the main building are so beautiful, like from a movie. I guess the rooms vary significantly. We had one at the stables, which was ok. The radiator didn’t work, but we engaged an electric portable heater and did fine. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good. Deniz, our waiter, was so kind. My wife was not feeling well and he brought a fresh peppermint tea. We had to checkout early to catch a flight at Dublin, so we missed breakfast. I hope to be back someday.

Is a beautiful hotel but as soon as we pulled in noone was there to receive you or direct you to where to go or park. We walked up the stairs with our luggage to find out we were not staying on that building. The lady did our check in and didnt even offer anyone to bring our luggages down again because we were staying in another building ( we have in our party 2 people with health problem not able to go up and down the stairs with heavy luggages). Then find out that 2 rooms were also in a second floor with more stairs to carry heavy luggages. During the night, we met another employee Collin, he was very attentive and helpful, give us great information and make sure we had a great experience.

Spa changing rooms were filthy. Hotel send us a message telling us if we wanted dinner at the hotel we would have to book, I replied to the message confirming we wanted a booking but was never actioned. Rooms didn’t look at all like the photos, our room was in one of the out buildings away from the hotel, shampoo refill was empty, member of staff walked into our room without even knocking, then didn’t even bother to apologise.

We had a fabulous time. A lot of time and effort is clearly being put into the room, grounds and facilities. The location of hotel is excellent for visiting local historical sites and towns. We had an absolutely beautiful evening meal and breakfast. I would have no hesitation recommending Preston’s restaurant to other people. Service, atmosphere and value for money amazing. The staff are a credit to Bellinter House Hotel.

Where to start? Our check in woman was snotty. As we were struggling to wheel our luggage across loose gravel, we realized we weren't offered any assistance. On our last day, we saw cars parked on said gravel, which would've been much easier but we'd been told to park elsewhere. Our rooms weren't in the main house but in a converted stable! It was sparsely furnished and required a space heater. Our bathroom wasn't cleaned during our stay. Avoid.

Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the room was very comfortable and the food at breakfast and dinner was very good. The only disappointment was at check in. We arrived about 4:30 pm to be told our room was not ready because the wedding party who had stayed the previous night had not checked out on time. given that checkout time is 12 noon , this seemed hard to understand? We were told we could wait in the bar area which was very crowded at the time but we managed to find 2 seats. After a while the manageress, came to us and apologised for the delay and offered us tea/coffee. after a long journey this is not what you want.

We stayed for two nights in “The Ruins” at Bellinter house. First, the drive into the property was exceptional, the grounds are gorgeous and the house itself has that WOW factor upon first sight. We were greeted graciously and were informed about breakfast in the morning. We were pretty tired from the road so we found our room and didn’t explore much. The next morning we had an Irish breakfast and went for a walk around the property. Very relaxing and charming. The Irish countryside is beautiful! Dinner at Preston’s on site was pretty great, the “hot stone filet” was incredible. I’ve never had a steak presented like that before. Very unique and delicious. I gave this hotel four stars because of a few minor things. First, being out in the country and next to a working farm, there were flies in our room, and flies in the restaurant. Next, noise insulation… or lack thereof. As stated above, we stayed in The Ruins which is detached from the main building. The people above us had kids that were running up and down the steel steps at 6:30 am non stop. As we were on vacation, we don’t get up as early as we do at home… this almost led me to ask for a different room. It’s an old, old building and I’m not sure what could be done. We would definitely stay here again, knowing what we know I would ask for a room in the main house. The staff were excellent, nothing was a deal breaker… we’re pretty low maintenance except when it comes to restful sleep.

Beautiful breakfast and stay! Interior decor and setting is very good. Bellinter house used to be a great value stay, reasonably near Dublin airport with sauna/hot tub complimentary. Since the development of the luxury spa prices are understandably higher. I was disappointed to learn of extra charges for guests to use any sauna or hot tub since the upgrade. Its a payment for the entire Thermal Suite or nothing. I will look to the sister property Ballagh house in future- Bellinter appears aimed at Luxury Hotel Stay clientale now.

Only thing that spoiled it was a drunk US woman guest, on arriving back from somewhere, shouting at the top of her voice and certainly old enough to know better. Woke the other guests up at 4am !!!! Let rip, how selfish and inconsiderate they were acting (her husband was apologetic) like that. Couldn’t get back to sleep so enjoyed the dawn course.
Lovely spot, nice food in restaurant & breakfasts. Staff very helpful needed an extension lead, no problem , was in my room by the time Beautiful grounds too. Room didn’t have shower gel and they don’t do food after 2100. Hotel was lovely and the second time I have been at the hotel. I would definitely recommend it
