Everything was great, the only disappointing part was the outdoor pool. My friend and I took a weekday trip partially to be able to go out and sit in their hot tub. Something was wrong with the chemicals and both of us had to get out within 5 minutes because our skin was getting irritated. So that was disappointing, but other than that, staff was great, room was great.

Have stayed at Ameristar several times over the years and usually enjoyable. This stay however was disappointing! Hot tub and pool were closed. Ice machine on our floor did not work and the refrigerator in our room did not work. For the price you pay for the rooms and amenities you think they would more efficient and keep up on repairs and maintenance.

Started with one working elevator out of six, which lead to longs wait everytime you left the room. Front desk took over an hour to checkin two staff members working out of 8 people up front. Room not well maintained loose faucet handles and no hot water at 8am

Our room was nice and clean, I really like that there was a bath tub and a shower and the fact that the toilet has a door which separate it from the room was also nice. I would have given it a 5 star, but because there were dust on the counter top and a piece of hair in the bath tub, so I think a 4 and a half star would be fair, but that wasn't an option. We would stay there again if we ever go back to black hawk. I do want to point out too that the pool area was in the roof top of the hotel, it has gorgeous view. The hot tub was very relaxing and the pool was nice and big.

2122 has a missing skirt under the door to keep noise out. No fan in the bathroom was interesting and the paint was peeling from the ceiling above the shower probably due to no ventilation. We were not informed about fees when leaving until we were checking out. Parking later in the day was a joke.

The hotel was fantastic. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the bathroom was great too. It was super clean. My major complaint was how hot it was. The hallways to the rooms were cooler than our room itself. I tried tonturn the AC down over and over andnit wouldnt budge. It is so uncomfortable to sleep in a room and be sweating in your sleep.

I LOVE the 34th floor with stunning pool, hot tubs, fire pits and comfy and stylish lounge chairs. The lobby would be cushier if you mimicked the vibe you have on the 34th floor w the giant pots and plants. What you have in reception now is meh. Hallways to rooms are beautiful, bath is very nice, rooms need new beds, lighting, and curtains.

Clean room, cozy beds, and nice amenities. My only complaint would be that my neighbors complained about our music one night and it was not super loud or late, which was a little obnoxious. The casino floor manager Trish was incredibly rude one night because my fiance had an unopened beer with him, even though he was not going to drink it in the casino. Again, it was unopened but she kicked us out of the casino because we pushed back on her a little. She was very rude and we spent a lot of money gambling there all weekend. Aside from that, the hotel and casino were very nice.

This was our second time staying at the Ameristar. We usually stay at the Grand Z because of the price, however the Ameristar was less expensive than the Grand Z. We like the rooms better at Ameristar, and the location of course. So anyways as we were waiting to be checked in, the staff said “VIP next”. And I looked around and next thing I noticed was a woman coming from my left to the counter. I was like “excuse me” I was next. This setup of VIP’s coming out of no where is unacceptable. I understand you have a club or privileged customers, but the check-in process NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!! Setup ropes like at the airport, First Class and other passengers. And frankly the VIP’s were embarrassed because they knew we were there first and not them. So it made them uncomfortable and the other people waiting in line to be checked in. This is why I gave 3 stars for staff. They were even rude about the whole situation too.

We booked this reservation two days in advance, yet when we arrived and tried to check in, we were told the place was sold out. This is completely unacceptable—why take a reservation you can’t honor? When we asked to speak to a supervisor, we were told they would come in the morning. It was late at night—where were we supposed to go at that hour? To make things worse, instead of offering any help, the staff threatened to call security. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had.

Sheets were dirty, no trash bags, smell was not nice in our room when we checked in. Poor air quality in the room both nights could barley sleep cause I could not breath. Very congested until I got outside. I've been here before but this weekend was horrible. Will not be going back to this hotel.

The Ameristar Resort was very upscale in appearance, parking was easy, check-in was easy. Other casinos were all within a few minutes walking distance. The best thing was that it was so quiet and you got a great night's sleep. The only disappointing thing was choice of restaurants in the resort, otherwise would definitely stay here again. Also all the casinos are NO SMOKING!!

We enjoyed the property and the location is great ! We had breakfast at the Fireside Kitchen one morning and the food was good and they had robot-waiters to bring the dishes. Another night we ate at Jinnah, the new ramen restaurant that had been recommended by the gentlemen who checked us in. It was fantastic ! We thought “Of course they’d recommend their own restaurants” but he was absolutely right ! Enjoyed every bite !

Mostly nice, upscale property. My room was in need of some fixes, the bed headboard was badly scratched. Several of the elevators refused to display the correct floor. Other than those things, the rest of the property was pretty good. Beautiful top floor pool area! Very good restaurants.

There is only one place to have breakfast or lunch, and it was overpriced for the quality. Buffet only open during dinner. Buffet Sunday brunch during my stay was closed. Didn't take business casual attire to try the other restaurant. No room service. Gaming and room good.
