Not as nice as their property next door that we have stayed at before. Pool was under construction not that we would’ve used it during this time of year however, our harbor and pool view was a view of a drained pool partially tiled. One of the elevators was out of work and the second one was very jerky. The property itself needs some renovations in the rooms.

This resort had several well maintained pools, an outdoor area, and a hot tub that we enjoyed. They also offered free transportation to downtown Charleston. The decor and furnishings were very nice. They also have an above average self serve coffee bar. The only negative thing I can say is that our “inland view” was a view of an unsightly, uncovered work/storage area with a bunch of junk sitting out.

Fantastic resort for a family and dog friendly! The pools were absolutely wonderful.The water taxi was conveniently located on dock at the resort and we enjoyed seeing dolphins during our trip across the harbor. Very short walk to the USS Yorktown. Fish House restaurant was fabulous. My family can't wait to come back!!

We booked 3 nights on hotels.com for a "total" of $710, the final bill came out to be over $900 (pet fee + misc.). This extraordinary pet fee ($175) wasn't spelled out in details during booking process, if they did we would have stayed somewhere else. The hotel's pool/hot tub were under constructions, one of the two elevators wasn't working our entire trip but they still charged full Resort fee. Feel a little cheated! Don't think we will come back again!

This was such a great stay! We didn’t know that amenities were combined with Beach Club resort next to our hotel.. that just made our vacation so awesome.. the pools, seating areas, and the views were amazing!

Multiple requests for clean towels unmet for hours. Room wasn’t restocked daily with toilet paper. Bathroom condition was poor. No ventilation fan. Walls beat up. Paint peeling off the door. Tub caulking falling off. TV service was down for multiple days and then when it came back on, it was a snowshow. Party at the point parking situation needs to be addressed. If you don’t have a resort key, you shouldn’t be allowed to park at the hotel.

Both elevators did not work. Pool was empty even though charged $40 resort fee. Safe did not work. Room 234 is more of a garden view. Paid for a view of the harbor. On the plus side. Shuttle to historic district a real plus. Easy beautiful walk to Yorktown. Easy drive to Sullivan Island and the beach.

The hotel location and view is incredible! The cleanliness was sub-par and you can tell the property needs a refresh. Our shower would leak like crazy and almost flood the bathroom, bed frame was bent and sticking out from the bed skirt & there were several hairs found in our sheets (looking like long hair & beard or pubic hair). There’s a lot of wear and tear on the property and it really needs a good update/fresh paint.

Resort is beautiful and at a great location. The architect should have won some kind of award with the colors and decorations. However, the facility is not being maintained properly to substantiate the cost. All the rugs (room & common areas) are in desperate need of shampooing, walls and woodwork are all scuffed up and just re-painted at some point with no repairs being made. When we arrived at the room, there was a big clump of someone's hair at the sliding glass door near the dirty curtains and the freezer was frozen solid with ice. All the floors needed to be cleaned. We reported everything to the front desk (except dirty curtains) and when we returned from our outing, the hair was removed, and the floors were clean. However, someone just turned off the refrigerator so there was water all over the floor! We reported and the maintenance person cleaned up the mess and replaced the refrigerator so the other one could defrost properly and without damaging the floor.

The outside of the buildings,pools and resort areas are beautiful and in good shape but the bedrooms were poorly cleaned and outdated. The food at the Fish House was delicious and the service really good too

Pool and view were great. Room was very very dirty. And I’m not usually bothered by this. But it was just unacceptable. Looks like they didn’t even clean from the people before us. The rest of the property was great. Could tell it’s an older building.

Bathroom shower knob was extremely difficult to turn on and off. Bathroom was dirty hair on the toilet when we arrived. Floors dirty. Dirty doors sticky substance seems like haven’t been cleaned in years. Sliding door difficult to lock and the screen door closes automatically and shouldn’t. Neighbors smoked the entire time cigarette smoke coming in through the vents. Loud banging noises all nights. The AC unit cutting on and off makes a popping noise every single time, difficult to sleep.

The rooms need major upkeep. Our shower handle was broken, the water in the shower kept running hot than cold, no water pressure in the sink. The air conditioner made a loud bang when turning on. the shower door would not close and the closet doors would not close. Maintenace was called and he fixed the bathroom door, but could not resolve the other issues. Our room was run down, bedding was good and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Just needs some loving care to details.The staff was excellent., pool area could have used pressure washed.

Beautiful location on the harbor. You have access to the pool next door at the Beach Club, which is very nice and has great views. The place itself is clean, with a friendly staff, but the Harbor Resort is in desperate need of a paint job and some upkeep. It's one thing for the rooms to look dated, but it seems lazy to have AC vents falling off and paint chipping everywhere. That said, we would go back again because we got a nice deal.

The double bed room on the 4th floor is gross…floors were nasty. Tape stick to the walls. Bathrooms are very tiny and no sink space with a pedestal sink only. Not a family friendly room.

Amazing location and resort. Our room had an awesome balcony. We had to call the front desk to fix our room about 4-5 time 1) hot water didn’t come for 15 minutes 2) leak from ceiling in bathroom. They caulked it and it immediately leaked again 3) AC didn’t work well. People came frequently but didn’t fix

A beautiful resort! The staff was very helpful! We used the shuttle service to go downtown. They were prompt and enjoyed the history of Charleston from our driver. The resort was quiet but it was during a slow week. Will plan to visit there again.

I love this place and we stay here 3-4 times a year. The reason for the low rating is because I tried to extend my stay 1 more night and they told me it was sold out but I could stay at the main hotel next door for well over 200.00 more per night. I passed on that, and left to find another hotel for the night. I got to my car and looked up rooms in the area on Orbitz and found multiple rooms still available there for the same rate as the previous 3 nights.. I booked the room and when I checked in I told the manager what had happened. Her response was, “we must have had a cancellation”… Nothing else. Not good enough for me. Gotta get your act together. I will be looking for another option to stay at next time here.

convenient to downtown charleston. free shuttle bus was fantastic. can also take water taxi for $17/day. ample parking if bringing a car. pool area was beautiful. harbor was beautiful. can walk down the dock down to uss Laffey/ uss yorktown. hotel was clean, staff was great. very quiet. large pool areas clean and inviting. great views. great stay!

Mother daughter trip was a success! Great views of the harbor and Charleston skyline. The best sunsets I’ve seen! Loved the shuttle service to and from downtown Charleston each day. Really nice pools and loved having pool side service. Patriots point navel museum is a short walk. Also fish house for dinner is a must!

Excellent hotel staff. Two amazing coffee machines in the lobby. Press a button for your preferred drink and your choice of coffee bean and in less than 2 minutes you have a latte, mochaccino, espresso, hot chocolate, cappuccino, etc., at no cost. Dinner at the Fish House restaurant was excellent. However, the breakfast buffet was not worth $22. We upgraded to a harbor view room and it was worth it! The rooms could use some updating and a comfort height toilet would be good for older guests. The bed was really comfortable. The best bed out of 3 hotels qe stayed at during our trip.

Rooms very clean and made-up nicely each day. Dining room very understaffed for breakfast. Coffee station in lobby very outdated...and long line each morning with only 2 self-serve machines. I've had better at a Comfort Inn. Room Keurig needs update, not drinkable

Great location for a wedding we attended and to visit the aircraft carrier and destroyer. The shuttle service to old town was a big plus. The dining options were very limited and it was pretty remote if you didn’t have a vehicle

Stunning Hotel, the view was beautiful. The staff was always friendly. Not a lot of food options besides the one restaurant in the property. We were there during two weddings and at different times both bars were closed for such celebrations and we had to our food delivered. We will definitely come back to this hotel.
