Property was nice and clean. It was a great location to get around. The staff was helpful and nice. The only real problem is if you drive the parking is limited and tight. Durning my 2 weeks stay I ran into ongoing construction and renovation work that made getting in and out of the tight limited parking a problem. Once that is done, they will get 5 stars from me

Vi valgte hotellet fordi de havde restaurant på stedet, da vi ankom sent første aften og ville gerne have noget nemt. Det gamle værelse så bedre ud på billederne end de var virkeligheden. De var bare små med lavt til loftet ellers ikke noget unikt

Staff were friendly and helpful, I paid 16 euros to extend check out from 12 to 3pm and there’s a room that you can store your luggage in. Although it’s a little dated this is a lovely clean and safe hotel. As a solo female traveller I would definitely recommend it

Just a basic property parking was available but not easily accessible do to large cobbles… quaint but you need to carry your luggage as the cobbles will make it impossible to roll luggage ok for me but I think elderly folks should stay aeay

Sehr gute Lage. Alles top sauber & freundliches Personal. Zur Zeit werden die Balkone & Fassade renoviert. Kein Zugang und die Vorhänge müssen geschlossenen werden wegen Bauarbeitern. Laut war es aber nicht. Schade ich hatte aufgrund des Balkons dieses Zimmergebucht. Es wurde bei der Buchung nicht erwähnt.

A centrally placed hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The Old Town is a 5 minute walk away. There are many fantastic eateries in the Old Town as well as historic sights such as House of the Blackheads and The Three Brothers. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a fortnight and really enjoyed our time here. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent too. The hotel is just a short walk from the old town. There is a very modest charge to park your car.

The hotel has only a couple of minutes walk from the old town, but is on a quiet back street. The staff were efficient but not particularly friendly. The hotel decor is a bit tired. We had two rooms on the top floor and both had two sky lights, one with a blind and one without which meant the room was light from 5am which woke my wife and daughter. The breakfast buffet was very busy but had a reasonable selection.

However, my superior room had flies in it and the reception did nothing about it throughout my stay. Reception did not answer the internal phone when I called. My towels were not changed and rubbish not removed from the room. The bath was very slippy and no mat. I had to use a towel in the bath to stand on. The bathroom fan stayed on throughout and was noisy. I could hear the person next door snoring!

This hotel was in the old town of Riga and was perfect for walking around. I did book this particular hotel and paid extra so we could have a 'castle' room for my daughter. When we checked in the 'castle' room was under construction so we were not able to have this experience. Very disappointed as this was the reason I booked this hotel.

Difficult stay. Was given room 316. It’s located in the staircase. Very strange. The WiFi did not reach that room very well at all. Often had no WiFi. The room was much smaller than I selected on hotels.com. Was moved to the room type I book for the second night. It was the size I had booked. Wi-Fi worked well. This hotel needs to update all its traditional rooms. They are feeling very dated.

This hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the old town. It was clean, staff were friendly and the hotel has character. Unfortunately the hotel is very echoey - on our first night after a long day travelling we were woken up between 5am-6am because of a cleaner in the hall way making noise. Our bed was very creaky so whenever either of us moved the noise woke us, we also struggled to sleep because we could hear other guests coming and going, doors opening and closing and people talking. If it wasn’t for the noise and the lack of sleep I would say I would stay again but unfortunately that ruined it for us.

Our time was delightful, from the moment the receptionist made special effort to allow the four of us to check in SEVERAL HOURS early, to the wonderful hot breakfasts served in the constantly cleaned and services breakfast rooms! The variety of the food was good, with many fruits, hot and cold dishes, including salad, too. This was our third time at the hotel and probably our best! Our room, #405, had a bathroom door that wouldn't latch or close properly, but we forgot to inform the hotel. We also, unlike our traveling companions, had a room without a mini-refrigerator and only a cabin-style shower, instead of a bathtub shower. We would ask in the future to make sure we had the mini-refrigerator and bathtub shower, but we again enjoyed ourselves so much and didn't suffer much from their absence. Finally, I wish to thank the hotel for surprising our companions, the wife of whom was celebrating her birthday the day of our arrival, for the VERY SPECIAL surprise she received. They were both happy and overjoyed! I look forward to our next visit.

Simple but clean room. Quiet and close to the old town and river. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Careful - there is another 'hotel' with a very similar name and close by. Nobody available after 18:00 and you are left on your own to figure it out. I would definitely stay there again.

We wanted a nice hotel near old town and in walking distance of the bus station and we got that. The hotel was by a quiet street so we slept undisturbed. The room was clean and pleasant. The old town sights were still only a few blocks away. The front desk was very helpful giving good recommendations of restaurants nearby and having our breakfast packed and ready to go for us to catch our bus early in the morning.

Good location, close to all the old town attractions with lots of places to eat and drink near by. The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. The only negatives were the bed, which had a very thin mattress and was too firm and the smell outside the hotel, probably caused by a blocked drain somewhere.

I thought the hotel was a bit overpriced for the quality of the room. However, the location can not be beat and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The best part is their excellent breakfast buffet. Loved the food and coffee. The hotel is located conviniently walking distance to Old Riga. The staff is very very friendly and super helpful. The rooms are cozy. The only so-so part was the cleaniness of the carpets and wooden walls need to be dusted.

Alt i alt ok. Prisen taget i betragtning. Hotellet har 4 stjerner fra omkring 2008, de burde nok revideres. Morgenmad lidt kedelig. Bl.a. de blødkogte æg var alle tre morgener kolde og temmelig hårdkogte.
