The people running it were very kind and dedicated to having a nice property. The pool was super nice and my kids loved it. My son had a medical emergency that invovled an ambulance - they went above and beyond for my other boys while it was all happening and after.

We enjoyed that they had an outdoor pool even though the hours aren't what we are used to when we stay places. Rooms were cozy, staff was nice. We didn't get breakfast there cause we woke up late, but we would definitely stay here again if we're in the area

Property is dated and worn. We chose it mainly on the strength of the great reviews here on Expedia but were disappointed by the condition of the property. Room wasn’t very clean, bed was uncomfortable, and towels were rough and thin. Was glad that it was just a quick overnight stop on a road trip.

Horrible stay. The bathtub was disgusting, there was black streaks in it like it have never actually been cleaned. All night I was bitten by little ants that were all over my room. We had a lower level room and the window didn't lock and it mase me very nervous all night and I didn't sleep well at all. Also the staff was super unfriendly. Also we go yelled at for even smelling like marijuana even though we didn't smoke in the room. Absolutely will never stay at a red roof again.

The rooms are nothing fancy, and the exterior isn't much to look at, but my room and the property interiors were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. I didn't use the pool, but both the pool water and surrounding area also looked clean. The staff were friendly as well. I was traveling with my cat, and it was nice not to have to pay extra for pet fees. Overall a great place for a reasonably priced overnight stop.

Room was nice and clean, but the window unit was very loud!!! It was hard to sleep because the fan would kick on throughout the night and wake us up! The towels very very small and coarse. But overall, clean and well kept! Fine for a night stop to break up a long drive!!!

The room was comfortable, but very dated. Since there was tile for flooring instead of carpet, It was a little cold underfoot. Also, since there was not an elevator, getting to my room was not very easy. Carrying luggage up stairs.

Hotel is a little older, but it looks like everything has been redone in the last couple of years and everything was clean. The location is on a business street, but it was surprisingly quiet. Also, no noise from other rooms. Breakfast was the usual for this type of hotel. Overall a great stay and a good value. We actually stayed on our way to our vacation and stayed again on the return trip home.

Check in was quick and easy, staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and recently updated. The bed was a bit on the soft side, but comfortable with four small pillows. The bathroom was small, but clean. I appreciated actually having a rod where I could hang clothes (so many redone hotels have gone to a couple of hooks instead) especially since I had dresses with me. On the down side, the walls as thin, the shower is set up for short people (<5ft), and the water pressure is low. For some reason, there was an empty extra cabinet (the unit that holds a fridge, microwave, etc) stuck in the corner of the room taking up space when the room would have been more comfortable with a 2nd upholstered chair or recliner. Would have also appreciated a coffeemaker in the room. Hotel definitely has a problem with humidity which makes bedding and clothes feel damp, but compared to other options in Cameron, this is still a good choice.

I am not sure how this hotel got such high ratings, other than it was very clean. The air conditioner was very noisy, you could hear the people above us walking around and the water pressure in the shower was terrible, I barely got the shampoo rinsed from my hair! And whatever was in the “shampoo/conditioner bottle on the wall in the shower didn’t even lather up, I was glad I had some shampoo from the prior hotel we stayed at the night before!! Very disappointing for an “excellent” rating!!

So while this is no 5 star place in an overall sense, it is 5 stars amongst its price point. At the price I paid, I was expecting to regret life decisions. As this was sinply a stopping point in a long drive, I had two main expectations... good AC, comfortable bed. Far from the best bed experience, it was not too firm. The AC is a window unit. It was loud but it definitely worked. So my two main points were met. Should mention staff was nice, helpful, and courteous. Thing to be aware of, there is NO ELEVATOR. I was on the third floor and was annoyed but luckily I didnt bring my big bag this time since it was a short trip. I wouldnt mind stopping here again as a layover point. And there was a place that served food till 10pm arouns the corner. I feared getting in late at a small town meant no food. McCorkles is closeby and serves later, at least till 10.

This hotel was located at one of our overnight stay cities, fit nicely into our budget, and based on reviews, we booked it. We will always be glad that we did. WOW - what a deal! Both of the staff members we communicated with during our stay were very friendly. Check-in was a breeze and one minor technical issue with the room TV was repaired immediately on a Sunday. The room was very clean and provided great sleep. And the included continental breakfast was managed nicely and adequate to get us on down the road the next morning. When our travels have us spending the night in Cameron in the future, we will look at the Red Roof Inn first when searching for budget-friendly lodging.

Surprised even though reviews were very good!! Staff was friendly. We didn’t realize there wasn’t an elevator when we booked and the staff kindly carried our bags to the room on the second floor. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Would stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The desk/ table in the king supreme room was very nice, we could pull up a chair and play cards to pass the time before bed. Breakfast the next morning was good, there was a pancake machine which was different from all the waffle makers for a change. They were delicious. There was also biscuits and gravy.

Best Red Rood ever! Friendly family ownership, inside room entrances, super clean rooms with new or updated carpet and furnishings. Breakfast much better than expected - hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, plus your usual continental fare. Pet friendly and no pet surcharge (although there is a pet deposit). Rooms are also pretty well soundproofed.

Very good for the price. Really good coffee and the breakfast was simple but good. Had an issue with the TV but we didn’t even tell them until we left as we were not in the room very much during our stay. Make sure you tell them if you have a dog as we did not know to do so.
