It was close to my job site. I drove 5 hours directly to the hotel. They canceled my reservation because of busted plumbing. Anthony said he called but I couldn't pick up while I was driving. The number for Motel 6 was nit on the ID. He was not very helpful and argumentative. I have not encountered that kind of hostility and I was very tired from my long drive. It was dark. None of the nearby businesses were lit up. I had to call at 6 pm to find another hotel last minute. Thankfully my daughter was able to locate a clean, friendly, Best Western hotel in Decature 18 minutes away.

Booked a smoking room, then told there were no smoking rooms available. Not enough towels for number of guests. Had to ask for a second keycard (we had 3 guests). Deadbolt on door would not lock. TV remote didn’t work properly. Shower two choices: ice cold or scalding hot, no in between. No elevator, and we were on the second floor. Vending machine dirty, and mostly empty. It also stole our money. We’ve stayed at many motel 6’s across the country and this was the worst one. Do NOT recommend.

It was clean and reasonable for the price good place to stay over night and use the basics. The only part hard for me Was understanding the clerks, they tried their best and well as I did to understand what they were saying while checking in. Other that that good.

The door stuck, making it difficult to open and close, and the deadbolt wouldn’t work. (The clerk came to the room and looked at the door, saying he’d have it fixed the next morning. Didn’t happen) The toilet seat was loose, and the toilet itself was loose from the floor. The tub was stained, as were the sheets and blankets, although they appeared clean.

I am not Mr.Travel but I have been places. No hot water, doors so poorly fitted I could see light around the door like some kind of Halo. Did I mention no hot water!!! My brother's microwave caught fire!! The Staff was friendly enough and tried to keep the area outside clean, but this was a complete disaster. The TV remote was missing the battery cover which in my mind represents just how half ass the state of this motel. Avoid it unless cost is your only metric for where you lay down at night.

It is right on a freeway and the noise is intolerable In addition, the air conditioner is very very loud We were unable to sleep or even exist in this space We were refused a refund after being there for half an hour We were forced to forfeit four nights payment Because we had already checked in. The owners would not negotiate We had to find other accommodations

They put me in a room with a broken bed and blamed it on my 4yrs and 6yrs of age and did an unauthorized charge of $250 plus the rest of my duration of my stay which was and additional 150 they are scams they allowed my neighbor which was a man to come knocking on my room door talking crap to me and my children about me calling for a loud noises because the neighbors were fighting and hitting my wall sooo hard to the point where it was shaking my head on the headboard I will never go back here and I don’t recommend they for a good stay

I understand...it was a remote location compared to other hotel. No multiple choices of food near by the Diary Queen was...okay. The problem I had was the dog hair from to bed spread getting on my black sweat pants. I had to remove it from the bed because my clothes kept getting messed up.

I understand...it was a remote location compared to other hotel. No multiple choices of food near by the Diary Queen was...okay. The problem I had was the dog hair from to bed spread getting on my black sweat pants. I had to remove it from the bed because my clothes kept getting messed up.

Pizza place within walking distance. Most reviews were right on. No breakfast - but it suited my purpose - Sleep 😴. No bugs - slept well. Just the basics.

There is coffee for morning and breakfast here for stay in here and there is the lake also just a distance so there all sorts of activities to do out here outdoors.

Air conditioner was so noisy had to turn it off to get some sleep until it got too hot then ran it long enough to cool the room and turned it off again. Can’t understand why the unit was so noisy, despite being relatively new.

I didn't Like that we weren't offered a receipt and they charged us for 5 nights instead of 4.

The staff were friendly and they were very nice to my dogs. The room however was not very well taken care of. The beds were nice and clean but the furniture was cracking and damaged, the tub spout was leaking and spraying water and the bathroom was just dirty.

Oh boy. Travelers take heed. The pics of the property are manipulated (as you can see). There’s a reason for that! The lobby is unrecognizable, with the entire breakfast area completely filled with boxes and junk like an open air storage space. Vehicles in the lot that have windows blown out (car explosion?) but had personal effects in it. Men (I’m being nice here) running around half dressed and yelling at each other outside. The room was filthy. Flying bugs. Disgusting stains on sheets visible with the bed made. The toilet bowl sounded like it was going to separate and break apart. And, of course they knew the tv didn’t work. And when I went to call the desk, discovered the phone didn’t work either. Once I got the office, I was told that there was no maintenance on site to fix the tv. I packed and left immediately. Asked for an immediate check out and she manipulated the receipt as the next day check out. Hotel policy is absolutely no refunds for any reason..wonder why?!. After driving cross country and just having gotten thru Dallas, I was exhausted. But, here i was at 9:30 at night, alone, driving 15 minutes to Decatur for a clean and safe room. Do not let exhaustion cause you to make the same mistake by even stopping here. Thankfully, Expedia eased the cost somewhat. The clerk straight out lied to my face. It’s NOT safe and it’s NOT clean. Preying on weary travelers is just the most unethical and fraudulent business practice there is. BEWARE!

The hotel was VERY basic. No hair dryer, TV remote didn't work, door security was questionable. I'd never stay there again!
