I loved my stay for 3 nights! Sian is a perfect host, and my single room upstairs overlooking the back garden was very quiet, had a very comfortable bed, a chair, and plenty of spaces, surfaces, and hooks to put things in or on. I could sit in the breakfast room any time of the day if I wanted a table space for working on a laptop, and I was welcome to store items in the fridge. Delicious cooked breakfast of any version of a Traditional English you prefer, plus cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juices. Easy walking to excellent restaurants, pubs, Waitrose, the Town Centre, Lock 29 and Castle Quay, coach or rail stations. This lovely English guest house is a treasure!

Extremely charming hostess made our stay very enjoyable. It’s a small B&B (5 rooms), with average size rooms, but immaculately clean, very comfortable (ie nice size and firm bed, lovely temperature maintained during quite chilly weather etc). The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was ample off street free parking. The town centre is a 5 minute walk away. There were plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance. Lots of nice places to visit in the vicinity. Would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet area of Banbury.

A very warm and friendly welcome again, everything was perfect, lovely clean and well decorated/finished room, very comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast was excellent and keeps you going all day. The location is great as just a short walk into town Centre so no need to move the car which can be parked off road out front. How can this place be described an Exceptional, have none of the previous guests stayed anywhere else. Our room 3 could not have been any smaller with the tiniest en suite. Breakfast was fine and room was clean but exceptional never.

Sian was so kind and welcoming, she did everything she could to make us comfortable, adding a fan to the room and providing cold water on a very warm night. Lovely breakfast, a really clean and comfortable home.

I stayed for 3 nights. Sian the host is really lovely. She even gave me some hair conditioner as mine ran out. The flapjack on arrival was also a welcome treat after my very long journey. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and you can have pretty much what you want. I would definitely stay here again

The Avonlea guest house is easy to find and ideally placed for the town being only 5 minutes walk away. The Host was welcoming, and I found the guest house to be clean and homely and comfortable. Even down to the home made flapjacks left in the room, which I thought was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

Sian was very helpful with information about the area, even though I stayed only one night, I did manage to have a Quick Look around the town, which was a few minutes away, so very convenient. There was a good choice for breakfast, nicely presented, very homely, and attention to detail.

What an amazing stay! The couple who run this place are the most lovely people you could meet. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Beds were comfy too and breakfast was spot on. Couldn't have asked for more. I'll be back!

Sian welcomed us to a wonderful overnight experience with full English breakfast. Just a short walk to the Thai Orchid restaurant for a superb evening meal. 5-10 mins walk to Banbury Cross of nursery rhyme fame.

Great place to stay just off the M40 . Very comfortable, lovely welcome, near plenty eating places and a fantastic breakfast this morning. The homemade flapjacks were gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

Spotlessly clean in a great location within an easy walk of the centre of Banbury. Got a lovely reception on arrival, excellent breakfast and lots of nice little touches e.g. home made flapjack in the room.

I loved my stay for 3 nights! Sian is a perfect host, and my single room upstairs overlooking the back garden was very quiet, had a very comfortable bed, a chair, and plenty of spaces, surfaces, and hooks to put things in or on. I could sit in the breakfast room any time of the day if I wanted a table space for working on a laptop, and I was welcome to store items in the fridge. Delicious cooked breakfast of any version of a Traditional English you prefer, plus cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juices. Easy walking to excellent restaurants, pubs, Waitrose, the Town Centre, Lock 29 and Castle Quay, coach or rail stations. This lovely English guest house is a treasure!

Avonlea is walkable from the town centre and just a little further to the train station. The bed was extremely comfortable and the landlady exceptionally helpful and kind.

My stay at Avonlea was very welcoming, room was comfortable. Sian was very helpful with information about the area, even though I stayed only one night, I did manage to have a Quick Look around the town, which was a few minutes away, so very convenient. There was a good choice for breakfast, nicely presented, very homely, and attention to detail.

Extremely charming hostess made our stay very enjoyable. It’s a small B&B (5 rooms), with average size rooms, but immaculately clean, very comfortable (ie nice size and firm bed, lovely temperature maintained during quite chilly weather etc). The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was ample off street free parking. The town centre is a 5 minute walk away. There were plenty of very good restaurants within walking distance. Lots of nice places to visit in the vicinity. Would recommend the place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet area of Banbury.

Sian welcomed us to a wonderful overnight experience with full English breakfast. Just a short walk to the Thai Orchid restaurant for a superb evening meal. 5-10 mins walk to Banbury Cross of nursery rhyme fame.

This is a lovely guest house and Sian is the perfect host. Her cooked breakfast is fantastic, and there are lots of other alternatives if that's not for you. Rooms are very comfortable and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Would most definitely recommend.

I stayed for 3 nights. Sian the host is really lovely. She even gave me some hair conditioner as mine ran out. The flapjack on arrival was also a welcome treat after my very long journey. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and you can have pretty much what you want. I would definitely stay here again

It was a lovely stay at Avonlea Guest House. Our host was delightful, nothing too much trouble. Breakfasts were great, lovely porridge! Good proximity to Banbury and the surrounding cute villages.

This was a lovely place to stay. The room was beautifully decorated as was the en-suite which was modern and stylish. There was no road noise and black out curtains ensured the room was dark. The proprietor was friendly as well as incredibly helpful. Breakfast was excellent with many options available. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
