The reception staff member was so welcoming and set the tone for us. The hotel room and facilities were wonderful. The saunas and relaxing spaces were most impressive and helped us relax after a long journey to Eugendorf, and again the following day after a thorough exploration of Salzburg. Breakfast very good. We all enjoyed it.The free bus service was an extra bonus to and from Salzburg. Couldn't fault our stay apart from it wasn't long enough and we are going to return in the autumn. Lovely!!

Vorzügliche österreichische Küche, serviert von Spitzenpersonal in gemütlichen Stuben. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit großer Auswahl. Der Saunabereich im Nachbargebäude, per Gang mit den Zimmern verbunden, ist mit 7 Saunen und viel Ruheraum eine Wucht. Dazu ein rühriger, stets hilfsbereiter Wirt, der alles im Griff hat. Up market Hotel not too far away from Salzburg centre The Spa is absolutely amazing, with a range of saunas, steam room, hammocks etc to relax in, plus a small outdoor pool in the garden. Only had breakfast there so couldn't comment on the dinner, but the breakfast choice was excellent. There is a regular bus service direct to/from Salzburg Station.

I absolutely loved my stay there. The bus to go to Salzburg is right beside the hotel (about 30min. ride). The hotel has so much charm, the room was cute and the personnel very kind. I also enjoyed a lot the sauna and relaxation area, though I was sad to learn that the person operating the spa (massage, etc.) was on holiday. I could well hear other people at some point, but overall it has been very quiet. The breakfast was very good. I was sad I had to leave after just one night, I would have stayed longer!

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und großräumig. Wir hatten sogar eine Sitzecke und einen großen Balkon. Da wir in einem Bereich des Hotels waren, der nahe dem Restaurant Betrieb ist, hatten wir in der ersten Nacht erst sehr spät Ruhe und Schlaf gefunden. In der zweiten Nacht war der Restaurant Betrieb früh beendet und wir konnten daher sogar bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Matratze war leider sehr hart und so baten wir um einen Topper für die zweite Nacht. Somit war auch diese daher viel besser. Wir genossen den Spa Bereich, welcher überrascht groß ausfällt und sehr viel zu bieten hat. Und sauber war dieser obendrein. Wir konnten diesen an beiden Tagen nutzen und fanden dort Ruhe. Das Essen im Restaurant ist auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Wer tatsächlich für eine unrunde Stimmung sorgte, war der Hotel oder Restaurant Chef selbst. Die Angestellten wurden recht unfreundlich angewiesen und stets gescheucht. Dies hinterlässt bei Gäste keinen guten Eindruck auf das Arbeitsklima. Das Frühstück war an beiden Tagen hervorragend und lohnt sich sehr. Die Auswahl wirkte regional und frisch.

Posticino davvero carino, pulito, camera spaziosa, colazione ottima. Non metto 5 stelle perché trovo ingiustificato pagare 15 € per il cane che ha dormito nella sua cuccia e non ha consumato nulla. Nemmeno la pulizia visto che per 1 notte non è che può spargere tutti questi peli.

The hotel is just 10min drive from Salzburg Central station. Hotel was very traditional and cozy. It has an antique and authentic touch of Austrian tradition. The staff was very polite and helpful and were dressed in beautiful traditional attire. The hotel room were very grand had had a beautiful balcony view . The breakfast menu was extensive and had vegetarian options as well. The seating arrangements were also beautiful. Overall I loved my stay there and would definitely visit it again.

Historic buildings, beautiful church next door make this a pleasant place though it felt a bit dark. Room was clean and had a balcony that overlooked pool and garden. As older guests, the shower/bath with glass doors was really difficult to exit and no usable safety bars were available. If possible, request a room with only a shower. Restaurant was closed while we were there; we drove a bit to find an open restaurant, but the one we found, on the shores of the Wallersee, was fantastic.

Overall this was a very nice stay. Our room was spacious and very quaint with a nice little balcony. The hotel gave us a free bus pass for our stay. We were able to ride the bus to Salzburg and back without any problems. The breakfast buffet was good. Ramona at the front desk was very helpful when we arrived.

I absolutely loved my stay there. The bus to go to Salzburg is right beside the hotel (about 30min. ride). The hotel has so much charm, the room was cute and the personnel very kind. I also enjoyed a lot the sauna and relaxation area, though I was sad to learn that the person operating the spa (massage, etc.) was on holiday. I could well hear other people at some point, but overall it has been very quiet. The breakfast was very good. I was sad I had to leave after just one night, I would have stayed longer!

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und großräumig. Wir hatten sogar eine Sitzecke und einen großen Balkon. Da wir in einem Bereich des Hotels waren, der nahe dem Restaurant Betrieb ist, hatten wir in der ersten Nacht erst sehr spät Ruhe und Schlaf gefunden. In der zweiten Nacht war der Restaurant Betrieb früh beendet und wir konnten daher sogar bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Matratze war leider sehr hart und so baten wir um einen Topper für die zweite Nacht. Somit war auch diese daher viel besser. Wir genossen den Spa Bereich, welcher überrascht groß ausfällt und sehr viel zu bieten hat. Und sauber war dieser obendrein. Wir konnten diesen an beiden Tagen nutzen und fanden dort Ruhe. Das Essen im Restaurant ist auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Wer tatsächlich für eine unrunde Stimmung sorgte, war der Hotel oder Restaurant Chef selbst. Die Angestellten wurden recht unfreundlich angewiesen und stets gescheucht. Dies hinterlässt bei Gäste keinen guten Eindruck auf das Arbeitsklima. Das Frühstück war an beiden Tagen hervorragend und lohnt sich sehr. Die Auswahl wirkte regional und frisch.

The hotel is just 10min drive from Salzburg Central station. Hotel was very traditional and cozy. It has an antique and authentic touch of Austrian tradition. The staff was very polite and helpful and were dressed in beautiful traditional attire. The hotel room were very grand had had a beautiful balcony view . The breakfast menu was extensive and had vegetarian options as well. The seating arrangements were also beautiful. Overall I loved my stay there and would definitely visit it again.

The reception staff member was so welcoming and set the tone for us. The hotel room and facilities were wonderful. The saunas and relaxing spaces were most impressive and helped us relax after a long journey to Eugendorf, and again the following day after a thorough exploration of Salzburg. Breakfast very good. We all enjoyed it.The free bus service was an extra bonus to and from Salzburg. Couldn't fault our stay apart from it wasn't long enough and we are going to return in the autumn. Lovely!!

Nice hotel outside of Salzburg. Big comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast and very nice restaurant with geat food. Good if you have a car. Not sure how the bus to Salzburg works. Big supermarket nearby. In general we were very happy.

Up market Hotel not too far away from Salzburg centre The Spa is absolutely amazing, with a range of saunas, steam room, hammocks etc to relax in, plus a small outdoor pool in the garden. Only had breakfast there so couldn't comment on the dinner, but the breakfast choice was excellent. There is a regular bus service direct to/from Salzburg Station.

We were looking for a hotel close to the city center but for only one night due to our schedule. Most hotels within the old town center required two nights. Then I found Hotel Holznerwirt. An absolutely lovely hotel just outside the city within an easy driving distance (or train ride). Beautiful outside garden seating for a quick coffee or a lingering lunch, a very nice restaurant, the room was spotless and very cute, and a full European breakfast was included.

Efter en lång resedag kom vi fram med förväntningar ang. go Österrikiskt mat, men oj - restaurangen var stängd söndag och måndag. Receptionisten föreslog en restaurang i närheten som visade sig att vara en acceptabel ersättare. Mycket nöjd med allt!

Historic buildings, beautiful church next door make this a pleasant place though it felt a bit dark. Room was clean and had a balcony that overlooked pool and garden. As older guests, the shower/bath with glass doors was really difficult to exit and no usable safety bars were available. If possible, request a room with only a shower. Restaurant was closed while we were there; we drove a bit to find an open restaurant, but the one we found, on the shores of the Wallersee, was fantastic.

Absolutely amazing hotel! Super laid back vibe, the saunas are great, they let me check out later, use the saunas after I checked out. The breakfast was just excellent. Had dinner in the restaurant which was again really great - very happy with my stop over.

What an amazing hotel. I was staying in the area for work, but the hotel made it feel like a holiday! The decor was beautiful and characterful. Apart from a neighbouring guest with a very loud TV late at night, the hotel was very peaceful. My room was stunning and with an amazing view from the balcony. The facilities were clean and the shower was excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and I also enjoyed 2 evening meals during my stay, both of which were really good. The real surprise was the spa and fitness area. So much variety and so well maintained. On both evenings I enjoyed spending time on the 'hanging beds' in the quiet room, in front of an open window, taking in the Austrian scenery. Oh... and there were cats... several of them living outside, but just as welcoming! I will definitely return.

Mysigt samhälle cirka 15 min från centrala Salzburg. Lokalbuss precis utanför hotellet till centrum är gratis och otroligt smidigt. Fantastisk frukost, då menar vi fantastisk! Gratis parkering. Traditonella och tidstypiska rum men modern och fräsch toalett och badrum. Enda negativt var att det under värmeböljan var det fruktansvärt varmt på rummet (ingen AC).
