Central City Apartments

The first apartment was not clean. Examples: remainings from cigarettes on the terrace, hat from the needle in the drawer, dirty mugs etc The apartment was fit four people, the service was not complete. The second apartment was cleaner, but no ventilation, almost no windows and low ceiling, when we booked a superior apartment with a city view. The place was a disaster - not suitable for longer stay. We had three nights - as we came for a wedding, we left after two nights. We choose this place as they had parking, but the parking was not available. To be fair the beds were ok

The positives first: - Location is good, close to subway and relatively close walking distance to Oslo city center. - Relatively calm area, little to no noise from other occupants. And then the negatives (there are quite a few): - Check-in is horrendous, with a choppy landline to the reception whom are not able to communicate in acceptable English. - Parking is overpriced compared to municipal and private parking (using apps like EasyPark), and the parking outside the hotel is tight and congested. - The room cleanliness was subpar, with dirty floors. Room cleaning during our 8 day stay was non-existent. - Kitchen lacked the bare minimum of equipment for preparing food, no knives (only a bread knife) nor chopping boards or simple utensils. A well used sponge was provided for doing the dishes, no cloths for drying. - The mixer tap in the shower was broken, and stuck on extremely hot, making showers a painful experience. The shower doors were barely hanging on, and stuck when fully opened. There was no soap dispenser in the shower. - Only two towels, and no bathroom floor mat/towel or hand towels. - No A/C in the room, but a fan was provided which in combination with a wide open window provided an almost bearable temperature in the room during the night. - The bed was hard as concrete. - The microwave was broken. - The fire alarm triggered multiple times during the day. - The soap in the bathroom dispenser was watered down (probably to save money).

Super convenient location and despite the listing there is a reception desk for checking in.

We found the hotel site very hard to find, even the taxi driver could not find the hotel.

Fine for the price. Location is easy and accessible to the entire city. A bit of a weird smell in the room but not unbearable.
