Absolutely incredible stay. Probably the best beachfront hotel available in Jaco Beach. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and the pools are epic. I will say that the only challenge is the WiFi if you are in one of the rooms closer to the beach. Small price to pay though!! Beach Volleyball court also in front of fun surf. Go here for sure

Perfecto para descansar en familia Fuimos en familia (2 adultos y 2 niños) y quedamos encantados. El hotel está recién renovado, todo muy limpio y bonito. Las 4 piscinas fueron lo mejor para los chiquillos, y tener acceso directo a la playa es un lujo. En la noche se escucha el mar desde la habitación, súper relajante. Nuestra habitación tenía 2 camas queen, refri y coffee maker. Buen parqueo, ambiente tranquilo, personal muy amable… y lo mejor: el precio está buenísimo para todo lo que ofrece. Sin duda volveríamos. Recomendado.

Excellent location right on the beach, and SUCH a cute property! Very clean, and the staff was super-friendly -- especially Nina, who helped us with everything. Only downside is NO food or drink on the property, not even a mini mart to buy water bottles or snacks. Such a shame! Also a shame that the swim up pool bar and outdoor cafe seem to be permanently closed. If those were open, this would be the PERFECT stay!

This property is located right on the beach, with easy access. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the AC is incredible. However, the beach is very popular with locals and is a little crowded. And be aware there is no food or ice available on the premises. All in all, a good stay.

Un lugar excelente para descansar y disfrutar en familia. La ubicación es lo mejor, cuenta con acceso a la playa, las instalaciones muy bien cuidadas, el aseo y limpieza se rescata y el personal bastante agradable.

Receptionist’s have zero personalities . I was there for over three weeks and my friends were not allowed to visit me , I had friends come from Tilaran across the street for the weekend it was uncomfortable having to go outside the resort to meet them . We are seniors going to Jaco for over ten years and are seniors no parties or such . Busy weekend microwave was never cleaned. Had a big spider in room Thank God my husband killed it it has certainly gone down hill

Las reglas del sitio aunque ya las han enviado por correo las repiten al llegar, pero la persona encargada las dice como si fuera una advertencia o amenasa mas que recomendación. Uno de los puntos claves que enfatizan es que no se puede fumar en la habitación y que serias multado de hacerlo. Sinembargo la habitación apestaba a humo de cigarro, aunado a esto la televisión estaba rota y ante nuestra queja el personal se negó a hacer algo, no quisieron ir a revisar la habitación aunque nos dijeron que pronto iria alguien este nunca llegó. En fin terrible. la peor experiencia en hospedaje que hemos tenido.

Our stay at Beach Break was great! The property is really pretty and within walking distance to the main shopping/dining area of Jaco. The pools were also a great addition when the ocean was too rough to swim. The only downside was we had issues with the wifi connection in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful in getting it fixed and troubleshooting but we had spotty wifi the whole time during our stay. If you are not relying on the property wifi then no issues at all!

Nice property, an easy walk to town and local restaurants/ shops. Many cheap restaurants with authentic food too. Our room didn’t have a fridge, to be fair we should have properly read through the descriptions but fridges in hotels are standard where we’re from so we never really considered it wouldn’t be there. The AC took a bit to cool down but once it was cold it stayed cold. They were doing maintenance/ upkeep while we visited. Landscapers were out putting down sod, planting flowers etc, sprinklers were on. They were also painting some areas and had some new pool furniture being set up while we were there. Clearly they are maintaining the property and overall it looked good. We’d be interested to come back in a few years to see how it all looks and all the updates they completed. There was a sign in the room about how housekeeping only came every second day, which we were fine with; however, we were there for 4 days and they didn’t come once.

Zusammengenommen ein guter Aufenthalt, Zimmer Kategorie Beachfront (9) geräumig und sauber. Lage am Strand sehr gut. Negativ: es gab zwar eine Küche im Zimmer, die war aber miserabel ausgestattet. Beispiel: Es gab nur einen Löffel, auch auf mehrfache Nachfrage haben wir keinen zweiten bekommen… warum auch immer. Anderer Punkt: die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig. Das Radio im Nachbarzimmer war extrem zu hören genauso wie Stimmen und andere Geräusche. Positiv: Anlage sehr gut in schuss, hin und wieder gab es Besuch von Leguanen im Garten…

L’hôtel est située sur un coin de rue très achalandés. Des motos sans tuyau d’échappement passaient sans cesse. Le bruit était extrême. Même avec le portes et fenêtres fermées c’était comme si les motos étaient au pieds du lit. Au beau milieu de la nuit on a entendu un client se fâcher dans les couloirs à cause de ça. La piscine est dans la cour intérieur. Il y avait des chambres qui faisait fasse à la piscine au lieu de faire face à la rue. J’ai pensé que ça serait moins pire mais non. Dans la piscine on avait parfois de la difficulté à tenir une discussion tellement le bruit des moteurs pouvait raisonner. L’hôtel est propre et entretenu. La propriété des chambre est passable. Il y avait beaucoup de poussière sur le tapis au bas des murs. Lit et salle de bain propre. Le personnel était vraiment super. Le déjeuner excellent et le restaurant agréable. Pour la nuit blanche que nous avons passé tout comme d’autres clients je n’y retournerais jamais.

Great stay at BBR. Very clean; by the beach; and very attentive staff, specially Yurgen Araya and Junior at the Reception. Staff is welcoming. Great location near everything. Main Street with great restaurants and bars is just few blocks away. The only negative thing is that after the pandemic they closed their onsite food and drink services. So, if you want something you either grab it yourself or order delivery.

Meh ... while the grounds were well kept, this property has seen better days. It was an ok place to lay your head down at night. Being on the beach was the biggest plus. Other than that, not much to say -- no restaurant, front desk was deserted often (poor guy who came in at 9PM couldn't find anyone to get checked-in), no bath towels in the room, etc. Alhtough inexpensive, we'll probably find a different place to stay if we return to Jaco in the future.

Las reglas del sitio aunque ya las han enviado por correo las repiten al llegar, pero la persona encargada las dice como si fuera una advertencia o amenasa mas que recomendación. Uno de los puntos claves que enfatizan es que no se puede fumar en la habitación y que serias multado de hacerlo. Sinembargo la habitación apestaba a humo de cigarro, aunado a esto la televisión estaba rota y ante nuestra queja el personal se negó a hacer algo, no quisieron ir a revisar la habitación aunque nos dijeron que pronto iria alguien este nunca llegó. Nice property, an easy walk to town and local restaurants/ shops. Many cheap restaurants with authentic food too. Our room didn’t have a fridge, to be fair we should have properly read through the descriptions but fridges in hotels are standard where we’re from so we never really considered it wouldn’t be there. The AC took a bit to cool down but once it was cold it stayed cold. They were doing maintenance/ upkeep while we visited. Landscapers were out putting down sod, planting flowers etc, sprinklers were on. They were also painting some areas and had some new pool furniture being set up while we were there. Clearly they are maintaining the property and overall it looked good. We’d be interested to come back in a few years to see how it all looks and all the updates they completed. There was a sign in the room about how housekeeping only came every second day, which we were fine with; however, we were there for 4 days and they didn’t come once.

Perfecto para descansar en familia Fuimos en familia (2 adultos y 2 niños) y quedamos encantados. El hotel está recién renovado, todo muy limpio y bonito. Las 4 piscinas fueron lo mejor para los chiquillos, y tener acceso directo a la playa es un lujo. En la noche se escucha el mar desde la habitación, súper relajante. Nuestra habitación tenía 2 camas queen, refri y coffee maker. Buen parqueo, ambiente tranquilo, personal muy amable… y lo mejor: el precio está buenísimo para todo lo que ofrece. Sin duda volveríamos. Recomendado.

I loved that you walk right out onto the beach. Very quiet area, 3 pools. Although there is no restaurant or bat, Le Point restaurant is across from the hotel and had the best drinks and food for great prices. Ill be back for sure.

This property is located right on the beach, with easy access. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the AC is incredible. However, the beach is very popular with locals and is a little crowded. And be aware there is no food or ice available on the premises. All in all, a good stay.

Great stay at BBR. Very clean; by the beach; and very attentive staff, specially Yurgen Araya and Junior at the Reception. Staff is welcoming. Great location near everything. Main Street with great restaurants and bars is just few blocks away. The only negative thing is that after the pandemic they closed their onsite food and drink services. So, if you want something you either grab it yourself or order delivery.

the girl at the front was nice but they didn’t offer towels for the beach or any basic toiletries in the rooms like shampoo or body washes. Only one towel per room and we were told that we’re required to use the same showering towel as a pool towel and beach towel. Fees for late check out and per person. The only open Food places in the morning were about 7-10 minutes walking distance. Property was clean but the rooms are very basic and considered to be a 2.5 star hotel. Restrooms had an odd smell. Hospitality could be improved to be more welcoming and provide the basics for people without so many fees or limitations… and maybe post a disclaimer about not having a bar or food onsite.

I love the plants and trees flowers many of them and the birds in them . I also liked the pools the staff was helpful but what I didn’t like there was no restaurant on the site or a small store for snacks but there was restaurant and stores in walking distance I had a nice stay 😃

Excellent location right on the beach, and SUCH a cute property! Very clean, and the staff was super-friendly -- especially Nina, who helped us with everything. Only downside is NO food or drink on the property, not even a mini mart to buy water bottles or snacks. Such a shame! Also a shame that the swim up pool bar and outdoor cafe seem to be permanently closed. If those were open, this would be the PERFECT stay!

The staff was nice, however, the rooms have really uncomfortable beds and pillows. I found it incredibly difficult to sleep here due to the old mattresses and waking up with back pain and a kink in my neck everyday. The location was convenient, and I liked the pool areas. This property is dated and was super disappointed there wasn’t breakfast but it was clean, quiet and safe. With DIRECT access to Jaco beach. This hotel is located at the south end, which imo is the best area for swimming and surfing. There is a large area to each if you bring food. The pool is nice. Staff was very friendly. One reviewer said it was a 10 min walk to town. That is by the beach NOT on the street. There are not many restaurants within walking on street. For breakfast we drove 8 min into town. Same for dinner. I would stay here again and recommend but be aware you will need to eat outside of this hotel. They do not have breakfast or restaurant.
