The hotel is located in a great location, near the structure you can find everything from public transport for every direction to shops and restaurants. The structure offers every kind of comfort commensurate with the type of trip undertaken, that is, as an overnight stay. The area in which it is located is quiet and full of parking, at the reception you will find qualified staff and the cleaning of the rooms is very thorough with new furniture and comfortable beds. I would strongly recommend it.

Immer wieder gerne im City Yard Inn. Einfach nicht vergessen, dass dies ein Hotel ohne grosse Annehmlichkeiten ist, dafür aber preiswert. In den Jahren die ich hier gewesen bin, wurde ich immer freundlich empfangen, die Zimmer waren sauber und in einem guten Zustand! Gut an den öffentlichen Verkehr angebungen und sehr nahe zu diversen interessanten Gegenden der Stadt. Die Altstadt ist z.B. in 10 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar!

This is a clean comfortable Hotel. The reception staff were cordial and very helpful. Although the room was very compact, we appreciated having a kitchenette. Also, access to a washer and dryer was very helpful. It would have been helpful to have written instructions on how to operate them. A definite drawback is the presence of 3-4 steps in 2 places on the way to our room on the first floor making it difficult to navigate with heavy luggage. The location, just outside the old town yet quite close to the ferry terminals was ideal.

Not recommended. When I checked in, the room felt like a sauna – terrible ventilation. I honestly think it’s borderline hazardous to your health. There was visible dust covering large areas of the ceiling. Maybe the hotel is acceptable for the price when the weather is cooler, but it’s absolutely awful when the sun is out. They also refused to let me cancel the booking or check out early.

The City Yard Inn is a high quality budget hotel. The hotel is quiet and very clean and the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is a short walk to the port terminals if you are arriving or departing by ferry. And that whole waterfront district has been nicely developed with a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops. There are also several malls that are only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Most importantly, the historic Tallin Old Town is only a short walk from the hotel. And lastly, areas along the waterfront near the City Yard Inn are excellent for biking or jogging. The City Yard Inn is a good hotel, in a great location for a good price.

Das Hotel ist für einen Städtetrip optimal geeignet. Die Mitarbeiterin sind sehr freundlich. Leider waren wir mit der Sauberkeit nicht ganz zufrieden. Es wurde zwar jeden Tag gereinigt und wir haben frische Handtücher bekommen, allerdings wurde unser Bett kein einziges Mal abgesaugt. Nach einem Strandbesuch am Dienstag hatten wir Sand an den Schuhen, der auch heute (Freitag) noch am Boden liegt. Auch Haare oder Krümel befinden sich seit Montag in unserem Bett. Es fällt leider schwer, sich dann noch wohlzufühlen. Für uns wird es leider der erste und letzte Besuch gewesen sein, da uns Sauberkeit in einem Hotel sehr wichtig ist.

Although the bed is quite small in a single room, the area was spacious and had a nice kitchenette and working space. The location is convenient, although the hotel is hidden in the back alley, it's easy enough to reach and a walkable distance to old town and Rotermanni (for plenty of food options and shopping). The staff was nice and the hotel was quiet, which I truly appreciated.

Nice, spacious room, I found it very comfortablr. The hotel is very close to downtown which is great, but the actual placement is kind of just in a parking lot, so no views to speak of, I was just looking at a concrete wall. But if you just need a plave to sleep and the atmosphere doesn't matter much, then it is a nice place to stay while in Tallinn.

Excellent location10 minute walk to the Old Town. Surrounded by taller buildings there are primarily industrial views. Reception staff speak English but leave by 21:00 each day. They are extraordinary helpful but their absence invites rowdy guests to be disturbingly noisy after 9 p.m. as sound travels readily through poorly sound insulated walls and ceilings. No breakfast served but fully equipped kitchenette is very handy,. Functional medern rooms are spotlessly clean. Beds are comfortable and cable tv has several English speaking channels.. Excellent value, with only major drawback being no hotel reception after 21:00 and early morning.

My only criticism is that we were unable to get through on the phone and therefore didn't receive the code until we landed. Staff on the front desk were really friendly and the hotel was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Tucked away in a quiet courtyard, but still only a short walk to the old town and the port. I was granted early checkin as my room was ready when my ship docked, which I was very grateful for. The kitchen in the room was very useful, with a good selection of ready meals and other foods available at a supermarket a few minutes walk away. Certainly a good standard of accommodation for the price, with great service from the staff too.

I visited Estonia for the 1st time this past week and was amazed by Old Town Tallinn as well as day trips to Viljandi and Tartu. The City Yard Inn was located in an excellent location for transportation to Old Town and the train station. The hotel staff is very friendly, especially after leaving my room key back in my room twice. If you're planning to visit Tallinn you should give City Yard inn consideration. Also, be sure to get to purchase a Tallinn Pass. It gets you transportation on all of the busses and trams and free entry to all of the Old Town museums.
I visited Estonia for the 1st time this past week and was amazed by Old Town Tallinn as well as day trips to Viljandi and Tartu. Close to harbour and old city centre (both within 10mins in walk). Easy access to public transport. Clean hotel room with a kitchen that includes fridge+microwave+small stove. Don't expect some special views from your window. Reception was helpful and spoke good English. Check-in after opening hours was easy with the instructions that you get.

Great stay, really close to the port and to the old town, bus stops are less than five minutes walking distance. Breakfast is great, many yummy foods to choose from, was included in our stay. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If I ever come back, I will definitely choose this hotel for my stay, highly recommend!!!
